It’s weird to hear him speak Norwegian because he speaks it with a Pacific Northwest accent and I should know I live in roughly the same area as he does
Yes he speaks the accent flawless as well. But then he turns to english as you heard. Super interesting. His parents came from Karmøy so thsts why he speaks it so well. Thanks for commenting 😀🙏
It's not a difficult language, no; especially not for a native English speaker. Sig also grew up around people speaking Norwegian, as I recall - though I'm not sure about the exact circumstances - so he's arguably a native speaker (if that's the term for having learned a language in your early formative years, even if you don't master it).
@@nordlandskaka yes true, lived on Karmøy for a few years (where I recorded this) and he was born here, and yes in Seatle there are many Norwegians and his family spoke Norwegian, so it is natural he is fluent, but he suddenly switch to English as he does not understand certain words, but other stuff he speaks like a native with a specific dialect we only have on south-karmøy, it is super good.
He learned Norwegian before English. He grew up speaking Norwegian and still speaks it with family and when he returns to Norway which he does often. He’s literally Norwegian
yes he speaks the dialect perfectly, it is crazy, I could not tell he did not live here on our island if I did not know Sig Hansen, and that he suddenly switches to English
@@Kpoole35 Make sense, my ancestry is Korea and I speak Korean fluent because my parents who immigrants to America speak Korean all the time when I was growing up.
@@vegardpedersen Yes they are quite similar but still huge differences. I have no problem with understanding Norwegian but that has to do with the border being pretty close. I might be born and raised in Sweden but I learned Swedish when I started school. I was raised speaking Elfdalian and that makes swedish hard to learn. Old Norse language and not Germanic, more related to Icelandic than Swedish (:
lol i dont know why he switches to english - maybe to promote the clothing line his mom only spoke to him and his siblings in norwegian , he didnt learn english until he started school at like age 6
Hi, I am not sure. It was sold at salarsport earlier but we quit. I think some stores might sell it still like xxl, but this video is from 2018 i believe
Please subscribe, a lot more videos are planned for 2022 🙂

Sig makes the effort of speaking Norwegian and it's beautiful. It's a difficult language and so many would just give up before trying.

I'm swedish right ? Hearing Sig speak it somehow just feel natural to me :D
Skitbra :D Första gången jag har hört Sig prata Norsk. Då hoppas jag på fler inslag med Sig ;)
Ha de / Dalkarl

hmm hard to say, maybe he has forgotten a lot as he is rarely talking Norwegian in the US?
He switches to English for the words he's forgotten/doesn't understand/don't translate from Eng to Nor
Where can you buy his clothing?
