This historical documentary series was filmed some time ago!
The tunnels today are now locked and are not accessible to the public!
This week we are exploring the forgotten underground accommodation bunker complex thats not been used since it was sealed in the early 1950s.
This was part of the southeast coastal battery defence network, and these tunnels are one of many built in this area as protected underground accommodation.

Love all your videos guys, being stationed underground most of my forces career in deep bunkers and tunnel networks all over the uk 🇬🇧 bring back many happy memory's 😊 alas there all still in daily use restricted classified or secret but all I can say is the were all huge with many miles of very interesting things to see 😊 keep up the great work guys.

Hello IKS, i really enjoyed watching your video it was very good and informative. Looking forward to seeing more interesting videos from you.Kind regards David.
Fantastic as always guys how deep down do you think you was ???
Another fantastic video guys, when you coming to Dorset to look for ours then...
+Don Merrick summer hopefully:) my Facebook page I will be using to let all the folks know when we will be going away for a weekend :)
Amazing work. Two things that I found interesting. One, did that soldier essentially say 'what a waste to demolish this house I could take it home?' Second, just watching as you walking through the tunnels no cabling at all. Nothing for electricity, no mounts for light bulbs, or telephones. Stripped by looters or the military? I just thought it odd. Thank you for the adventures :)
Great video lads. More please!
+John Ryan Badumar lots more to come :)
I have been with this channel from around 100 sub
+Malachi Weight cool :)
Cracking video great clarity ✊️
+thegrantclan thanks for your support:)
Great video guys
Poped down this one today, foliage has made the entrance more hidden, but still accessible. Got same nice photos with a friend, my partner decided to stay outside in case of anything happening.
outstanding video as usual boys, by far the best conditions for a bunker of its age yet seen on your channel. 😊
+Damian Jones amazing thanks for your support:)
great video iks, would be awesome to check these out ourselves. :)
Brilliant video!
Beautiful limestone studs We also have a few stud systems in Arnstadt Thüringa ,
Where there's even a secret lift from WW2
"Do you have a video of the secret lift? It sounds very interesting.. :)"
Looks like it was lined against the damp by roofing felt. As to the painting, the army used to say "if it moves, salute it. If it doesn't, paint it! Keeps the lads busy during the long quiet periods.
I would imagine that there was a lot of ammunition stored down their safely out of the way. Could the unlined portion just be an emergency escape?
Brilliant explore gentleman - I need to get a hoodie from you guys IKS one
+Andyb2379 we need to sort that out soon :)
good find grate condition ,looked well deep ,amassing no water ,was it as dry as it looked ,ha sent it stayed in fabulous condition after all these years ,good video,
+Ash Wharton yeah the tunnels are completely dry :)
this film is great I also love world war history hunter
WW2HistoryHunter is indeed a very interesting YT channel.
If one stone waste dumped under the clif, there must still be a huge mountain of waste.
There is an awful lot of work to make the bunker.
Great video and good to see this set of tunnels in HD. They are doing well considering the age of them, not sure if you guys know or did read the message I left you, if you have sky TV, channel 343, has been showing lots of short war time documentrary from ww2 from Dover, and a few other coastal towns, they are about 15-20 min long, shows guns long the coast and lots of other stuff you may find interesting, Keep up the great work.
A lot of the plans for Dover tunnels are held at Kew Gardens.
It has to take a little bit of brass to go down in these places! Love these vids!
+James Mirrordomains thanks for your support :)
The one with the roof is the only one in an unlined part of the tunnel. Its to stop you getting crowned whilst your sitting on the throne.
+sac43 that's Interesting thanks for sharing :)
Great video mate 🙂
+Beedell's Productions thanks for your support

+TopAbandonedPlaces | URBEX thanks for your support :)
ww2 history hunter and his son are cool man :)
Even though it must be quite normal, the amount of rubble and dust accumulation is incredible!
+539 Productions you could grow things on the floor in this place lol :)
I enjoy watching your videos, great to see these places and I love the history aspect, keep up the good work, and if you ever come up to North Wales let me know, there is an old WW2 ammo store in the mountains I think you would like,
+Cortinaman63 wow amazing sounds interesting PM me on Facebook if you haven't already:)
Great vid again guys, that black stuff looks like the tar stuff I found under the roof of our old garage when we pulled it down. The garage was built in the 50s so it maybe some kind of water or moisture barrier and was quite brittle with age. It may have been used down there as a quick way to cover the walls, I maybe wrong . All the best guys.
+Ken Allen interesting thanks for sharing :)
Good job chaps, thank you
+B.M. Baker thanks for your support :)
Another great Vid Ian,you haven't "bumped" into Adam recently,I keep expecting him to appear around the next corner!
+North Orbital. He's working in Devon I believe for a couple of months, I did say he should make vlogs of his trip :)
it make me angry that we forget our history i would love to see some of this i live in sevenokes kent i’ve got fort Halstead on my door step
very nice ...good find
+Escape The Wild thanks for your support :)
wow cool film
+Jenna Palmer thanks for your support :)
Amazing
+GuyMundo thanks for watching glad you enjoyed
That material looks like 'tar paper'…...used a lot in conjunction with wooden wall coverings, it was intended to prevent moisture / water ingress. Small 'protected' rooms could have been magazines for small arms amunition ? great video 👍
Could you use GPS locator tags to find the entrances.
Wow thank you
Great video guys a O2 monitor would be a good idea for the air thanks again I'll post your video on my FB page.
+Tom Larkins we need to sort that out :)
That 1950 graffiti interesting, but I learned everyone ought write plainly or print, as really hard to see what they meant to say. They didn't see the value of the tunnels, but probably a young person exploring back in the day. I think these dry tunnels are fabulous. Lasting such a long time.
Wonder why the tunnels were made soooo long? Lov bein a subscriber
Amo ver seus vídeos de aventuras é o máximo!
+Eunice Santiago merry Christmas and happy new year:)
ww2 history hunter does some cracking vlogs... fist time I'd seen one of those mini metal detection sticks.. Scare's me though digging next to old bombs..

+Glen Glen hello folk and thanks for your support :)
your welcome c:
About time you met paths do upload or video now got to happen please early Xmas present that do it ww2 history hunter and iks dream combo
john rowden shame on you for graffitting that bunker in 2016
*14:09** Your welcome*
Pretty stable tunnels as things go. Chalk is a nice material to work with in tunnels, i mean, you could bore out oversize, and then lay in pressurized concrete and voila, tunnels done years in what would take decades in other materials.
Also, guys, really. Be aggressive. Nobody won anything without kicking some doors. Explain what you do, and shoot them an email. Your channel is very clean, very proper (despite the area it operates in), so i'm sure they won't mind sponsoring you guys with some lights.
in an old map of them done in the 70s the pile of dirt u could not work out where it came from is marked as rotting sandbags. obviously the bags have all rotted since then and only the dirt they contained is left.
+Loïc Flory interesting thanks for sharing :)
I live in brixham s Devon and we have battery gardens near my house can you find out some more information on that please heritage have tried but they are crap and they have blocked off most of the tunnel network
smashing through the boundaries lunacy has found me cannot stop the BATTERY
The 1950's graffiti actually says BULL FARM (not 4am) Mansfield, it is an area of Mansfield Nottinghamshire, which is a 10 minute walk from my house
+Mark Topham interesting thanks for sharing :)
I am going to search for the person who wrote it, i shall hopefully return with more info as to why, when and what it means
@@mtop6812 I'm from Mansfield I noticed that as well did you find anything else out
cool bunker
14.08 looks like some ones home address on the left it says 36 butler crescent Mansfield. I live in Mansfield
Hopefully the partials in the air are not Asbestos. Asbestos was widely used as thermal lagging on pipes mostly in engine rooms and as asbestos cement sheeting which was very common.
This may not be correct but i suspect the air borne particles seen in the video maybe zinc oxide from the galvanized sheets used to line the tunnel.
Zinc oxide is a fine white power. Not sure of the health risks in your case but when welding galvanized material if you breath too much zinc you can get whats know as zinc fever en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metal_fume_fever Thanks for your great videos.
Watch out for the old Blue Asbestos pipe lagging.........! I wish that was under my house would make very good extra living space............
5.56 there is a strange noise
Fico apavorada de ver os locais que vocês entram, parece que vão desmoronar em suas cabeças KKKKK Gosto muito do trabalho de vocês estou começando a seguir o seu canal, é excelente! Amo seu seus vídeos.

this video was fantastic I must admit when you was in one of the staircases you both looked up to each other as if you heard something this is a question for both of you have you ever experienced paranormal activity in some of the WWII locations that you've been to all the best from Mark in Redruth in Cornwall
mark palmer ghosts dont exist mate
exploring malta well I've seen one so I'm a bit different on your comment
exploring malta but but thank you for your comment anyway friend
mark palmer what u saw is just what your mind wanted you to see
may be m8
Think the graffiti relates to a disgruntled holiday maker. B Garfits (?) from 36 Butler Crescent in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire He's in the tunnel fed up on the 12th Nov 1950.. He says that St. Margaret's Bay (is this a Hotel/Holiday camp?) is a one horse joint and if it belonged to him he would pay Jonesy(?) to demolish it. Clearly having a good time down Dover then.....
Thanks. Looks like there is a holiday park called St Mrgaret's bay park in Dover as well!
I noticed that I'm from Mansfield.
Wow. Where is this.
ive been there, massive crack in the ceiling by the entrance
+Rob Stone never nice looking at them cracks lol
this is my first time commenting on your videos, I love how you are actually taking care of the places you enter.
however I watch a certain channel the other night and it disguisted me because the man and his little girl busted their way into a German bunker. I personally don't think that is right which is why I love watching your videos because " if the door is locked we don't go In no matter what" keep up the good work and please don't ever become a disrespectful humanbeing
+Septimaux Gaming oright thanks for sharing, thanks for your support :)
thanks for your support :-)
I know of which video you're talking and I agree to a certain point but what sort of value does it have if no one is allowed to see it? As I remember it was not a locked door it was sort of a big pipe that was walled off or something and he never revealed the location.
There is an old bunker somewhere at the top end of Rochester near the prison. When I was a kid living there it was always a place we would try and sneak into wish i had the balls to go in. Do you know of it or would find it ?
+Scarletsb0y short brothers factory and air raid shelters? They are sealed and only open to public tours on certain days of the year :)
It made be the factory but its not marked on any map now, this was up the top end near of Rochester near fort road I think
this is the tunnel i wanted to take you two a couple if months ago. but you said you had explored it.
+Quentin Wakefield oh yeah, we was in the area thought we would check it out again :)
I can just see them throwing anything and everyting down the cliff out the hole lol
poor chris always gets sent 1st to test the area, lol, please be careful with the asbestos guys
Hi from Sweden
you are good at what you do,but give criss more credit . terrific show,keep it up very interesting good job;
+Jack Van thanks for your support :)
Isn't the coating on the walls Leatherette? Leave it to dry for 67 years and it will probably look like tar.
+Kimchi King could be I don't have a clue :( thanks for sharing :)
thats tar papper i use it roofing i c it in old houses more but thats what it is there
It was sometimes called 'Sarking felt', sort of tarred Hessian.
Must congratulate those guys on their support I used to be mine overseer in the gold mines South Africa for quite a long time .
Nice war time Graffiti. Come to Lorraine, France this summer and I show you some Graffiti from 1945, made by American troops during the Lorraine campaign....
It's a shame that all of these bunkers and complexes are just rotting away, investing some time and effort into repairing and or fully rebuilding these would make them once more amazing and of actuall use. if civil strife ever happened these bunkers would be choice to hide out in until everything blows away. Great work as always guys.
+Chaucer Faux yeah would be ok for blast, only trouble is lots of people know of most of the tunnels around and it would be very packed down there lol :( I want an roc post :)
whats the link to your mates instagram?
+Ala Alpha instagram.com/chrisstacey.iks
Can anyone work out the guy who did the graffiti's Name? Im pretty sure it starts with a C and ends in "fts" but i cant work out that missing letter.... also that word in the last line... (Graffiti at 14.11)

*Fed Up.
St Margarets Bay. What a one horse joint if it belonged to me I'd ??? going to demolish it.
Im not sure but i think WW2 History Hunter is norwegian!
+Bunker Addict oright cool thanks for letting us know :)
This is not true, he is from Germany and it says so on his channel. He has been exploring in Norway though.
Ik heb vandaag in Nederland (Underground) Bunkers Gevonden Video=
Nu te zien op dit kanaal
Says "St Margaret Bay..what a one horse joint. If it belonged to me, I'd pay Jerry (What they used to call a German soldier) to demolish it". He put his address! Someone should look him up!
got a roof cause it's not got any tin in that section
Got to be the best one yet but no cave ins yet would not won't to be their when that happens be a disaster is it being looked after and that pile of stuff is that a lot of old sand bags rotated 🤔
Yes it is called 'tar paper' tht black stuff under th plywood
Thanks for the comment folk ;)
The graffiti is from the 50's?
Its funny how he always points up saying to check out the link above here and there never is one!
Depends of what device your using for cards :) or I did forget to place one lol
Ah, annotations was off. Thank you!
Playing B0m8erman 94 watching IKS
The History is horrible I can argue with that. But god damn it, it's awesome, we don't have such things to explore here in Québec, Canada.....
Get over the construction of the walls you spent way too much time on that i do like what you guys do
Woo Hoo first !
Brian Ludlam actually read that in Homer's voice !
