I'm having no luck at all. I'm inclined to think that those that are successful in dejamming their poles, haven't really got a serious problem with jamming in the first place! They are just a bit stuck! I have an Hama Alpenpod monopod pole for camera mounting use. It's one of those with a redundant compass on the handle. The bottom section is stuck solid. No manners of twisting, banging or hammering has freed it. I'm scared stiff of clamping it in a vice for obvious reasons. I've soaked the joint, (or attempted to), with both WD40 and Plusgas. It still won't budge. I've even tried a heat gun to warm it up and expand it. Nothing works. I really don't know what else to do. This really is a crappy design. I challenge anyone to free my pole up. I'll be very impressed if you succeed!
My LEKI Ultratrail poles were stuck for months. Still needed quite some force but this method worked. The twisting actually makes sense! Thank you😊
Thanks - tried everything until I saw your vid. Worked first time!!😅
Thank you! One of my poles was stuck, and I just tapped them gently together and was able to open it up.
Thanks! It fixed my stuck poles.

Replace rubber mallet with a massage gun
I can get it out but now it doesn't want to go back in....
