    Teach your dog to ride a skateboard. Even if your dog is too little to ride a skateboard this trick is a great way to build confidence and balance.

    I taught my dog to skateboard for my school's talent show a few years back. And she completely stole the show! If you want to teach your dog a trick that's fun an easy to learn, I highly reccommend this one! It'll charm the hearts of everyone!
    And kudos to kikopup for another fantastic tutorial. You always help make dog training a fun and exciting experience! :)

    I had to come back and thank you, I started working on this trick, my Aussie is going to be skateboarding, I have no doubt! If if ever see you at a trial in San Diego after this whole mess has passed, be warned I may run up and hug you, your videos are like gold right now. I’m back again, lol Do you recommend slowing the wheels down? My board is really fast right now we have just moved it to concrete in about 1/2 inch of sand so it doesn’t take off so fast.

    This is such a cool trick!! You are the absolute best dog trainer I have ever witnessed!!! Splash is soooooo adorable!!! :D I have a 9-week-old male rough collie puppy that lives outside in a fence to keep him safe from getting hit by cars. I want to teach him that he is never ever allowed to step one paw onto the asphalt even when I am not there. I don't want him living in his fence forever! Can you please, please help me with this???? I would greatly appreciate it!! Thank you!

    I have been teaching my dog on a scooter & she is doing really well is so keen. I am thinking a skateboard would be better than the scooter. Could you give me any info on this? She is a small dog, a Bichon Frise who does heaps of tricks, she has just earned her first 3 tricks titles. Would the height be an issue? Thanks very much

    my dog wont put all 4 paws on the board, and rarely 3. even on the grass i can't keep the board super still and not wobbly, so i don't know how to help him with balance AND getting on, at the same time?? he's more into flipping it over and biting the spinning wheels...

      Something clever? I sometimes have the stupidest cues... For covering the nose I say "cover".... no one finds it interesting. But if I were to say, are you sorry or does he smell bad? as the cue people would laugh...

    Is this trick okay to teach for my 11 months old puppy? It looks soo much fun. 😍😍

    • @kikopup
      @kikopup  3 года назад +1

      Sure you can get started working on the trick! The key is preventing repetitive jumping and jolting movements until the growth plates have closed and of course continuing being careful about it as an adult but not to the same degree. So if your dog is over excited and tripping and falling off the skate board, not so great, but if you have your dog learning calmly and mindfully it should be perfectly fine! Here is a video that goes over more about safety ruclips.net/video/XaNFY7jO6h4/видео.html

    My dog was traumatized by the gurgle of a self filling water dish & now refuses to drink from any dish unless someone rubs his back while he drinks. He's also terrified of sharp clicking, snapping noises including the crackle of our wood stove. Any tips on helping him overcome his fears & start drinking on his own again?

    How do you teach a dog to steer a skateboard?

    • @kikopup
      @kikopup  3 года назад

      Good question. Because I cant even steer a skate board. I guess the key is to have a super expensive skate board and not a 15$ one. And work with the ramps at a park so the dog gets used to shifting his weight first.

  • @morganpurvis8145
    @morganpurvis8145 11 лет назад
