I've seen many specialists over the years about tmj but none of them ever mentioned my lip incompetence. I noticed a huge improvement after I started taping my mouth at night, I don't have jaw pain anymore. I will do these everyday and hopefully can get a better lip seal. Thank you for your video

I can close my mouth properly but when I have my mouth open my top lip kind of curls up and you can see a lot of my top front teeth. Will this help stop that?

thank you i have exactly this problem, my philtrum is short and when i smile, there are 2 points on my nasal fold beside my nose that will not crease, do you think upper lip tie has to do with this?

Hello! I'm seeking advice on how to strengthen my upper lip. Currently, my mentalis muscle is overactive, causing a chin dimple to form when I close my lips. Furthermore, my lower lip is slightly flipped outward. When I use a cotton roll to exercise my upper lip and attempt to close my mouth, I notice increased activity in my mentalis muscle, resulting in deeper chin dimples. However, I'm confused about how this exercise will effectively target and strengthen my upper lip, as it seems to be primarily engaging my mentalis muscle. Can you please clarify the intended mechanism and benefits of this exercise for upper lip strength
Thanks for your questions about this exercise. This video is for stretching and not for strengthening and thus not for you. Also this is for the purpose of reducing dry mouth - related clenching / grinding which cause jaw issues overtime and to reverse or improve that. Best wishes

I've noticed that my upper lip doesn't cover about 75% of my teeth. When I place a cotton roll inside my upper lip and try to close my mouth, I've observed that my mentalis muscle and lower lip work together to close it, rather than my upper lip engaging. I'm struggling to understand why this is happening and how to strengthen my upper lip to improve this issue.
