Was gonna say the same. My parents bought one of the $100 ninjas years ago when I was about 20. I used it for protein shakes and stuff every day for years. I’m 34 now and I’m 99% sure they STILL have that thing. I haven’t used it n a while obviously, but over a decade of use on one of these things is a solid testament to their quality imo.

You just have to gradually increase the power and not hold it at max for too long. Also continuously mash the ingredients around with the “stick”attachment so it mixes right.

Now I like saving money on appliances as much as the next guy, but You’ve gotta be pretty meat headed to mess something up in the vitamix. I use it to blend my oats for protein pancakes. I use it when I want to make peanut/ almond butters (usually just to impress my friends) I also use it for all of my protein shakes since I use almonds and I use it for my soups because why not..
not a single time has something gone wrong. I don’t even have one of the smart ones, I use a C series.
I’m guessing you just throw in your ingredients with no regard to how much water you should be adding and then mindlessly start at speed lv 10.

I got the single-serve smoothie bowl maker, and, although I've only made 3 smoothie bowls in over a year that I've owned it, I use it daily for whole food shakes. Some juicing as well! That thing is sooo loud though! Sounds like a jet engine in my kitchen! I've only overloaded it once, it stops on its own thankfully.
I do want to upgrade to the Pro kitchen system they have now though - includes a big pitcher, 2 single-serve blender cups & it's a food processor as well so I'll save some room in the kitchen! I think it's 1700 watts! I see homemade Pesto pasta sauce in my future 😋

    Hey Derek!
It's always interesting for me to see new obscure drugs that could be used for hair loss.
Today i came upon 5N Bicalutamide (not bicalutamide) which is a modification of bicalutamide.
Currently, the top player of the game is considered enzalutamide (5-8x higher affinity for AR receptor than bicalutamide) but 5N Bicalutamide has an insane 150x higher affinity for AR than ordinary bicalutamide (literally higher affinity than DHT).
It's extremely obscure, but there is a wiki page for it.
Let's imagine that it doesn't cause some bad shit in the body unrelated to androgen inhibition, do you think that something like this could be hypothetically used for hair loss or the binding affinity is so insanely high that even small systemic absorbtion could cause havoc?

I worked for Vitamix and have a $700 William Sonoma model A3500. Mine met the same fate, smoked out and fell apart. Derek you should have a lifetime warranted for your vitamix just call support and refer to the product code on the back of your machine.

Saw these on infomercials long time ago, that’s how the ninja brand started. I was always skeptical of them and air fryers because of this, but they both turned out to be amazing

That makes no sense, Vitamix blend kale and other fibourous veggies to the point you can drink it without even feeling fibrous texture. It also have 5 years warranty so if your story is true why didn’t you get a new unit under the warranty?

Owning multiple blenders… vitamin is by far the best and smoothest blend. You can’t load any blender up with a bunch of dry ingredients s add ms not expect the motor to burn out.
