Thank you so much, Ronnie❤️ Means the world to me! And I’m truly sorry for your loss. I often listen to Griefcast & Dead Parent Club on Podcast when I feel lonely. It’s great, check it out if you’re interested ✨ Sending you love.
I just watched your video and found it from Casey's course on Monthly. This story was just beautiful. Thanks for sharing - I've subscribed so I can see your youtube journey 😃
Love this - it's kind of the peak of what we want from personal film making, that self expression. I am really close with my mum too, its so hard to imagine her not there. She lost her mum to cancer when she was 16. It sounds like your mum had a beautiful and rare relationship with her own death, we could learn from that as a society. For me the music you chose and (it felt like?) subtle raising of the volume towards the end was really on point - complimented but didn't dominate the story you were telling. Great mix of shots in there too, and good pace - not too fast but not needlessly longing points out either. The only shot that felt to me personally it didn't quite work was when you were speaking to camera - felt like the mouthing was not quite lined up properly with the sound, or could be that it was the filter you were using on your voice was throwing it slightly out of synch. Have subbed so look forward to more when/if you are ready to share!
Hi Ab, thank you so much for your kind comment! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it. Makes me happy that I decided to share this once again. She sure did have a very rare relationship with her own death and that's what has helped me process things a lot more peacefully than I would have otherwise. I'm forever grateful for her for that. And thank you for your feedback! You're totally right about the out of sync shot! One of my classmates pointed out as well and didn't realize that initially, so thank you :) I'm assuming you took the monthly course as well, so well done for both of us for finishing!
I lost my mom in 2016 when I was 57 and she was in her 80's. I think of her every day. Your beautiful video is a stunning tribute to your mom and the wonderful relationship you shared. Wishing you the very best as you travel through life.
Beautifully done and you struck a nerve in my heart. Your mother would be proud of the love you put into this creation. I wish you well and look forward to seeing you create more videos because you're great
You really captured how amazing your mom was and what she means to you. I can't believe how beautiful this movie is, it remind me of Vision's line in Wandavision "What Is Grief if Not Love Persevering?". I hope you're feeling better; she would be so proud of you.
Aw thank you so much, Isaac! Truly means the world to me! Wasn't sure if I want to put it up here, but I'm glad I did. :) Thank you for the beautiful quote as well
