@William Watkins shadow systems have guns around 1k and if you use their weapon for self defense and it gets taken as evidence, shadow systems will send you a replacement gun. Which i think is pretty cool

@Paul Bargo 1911s are awesome weapons. Especially when you consider the design is 110+ years old and still going strong today. Yes, they have flaws, 7 rounds in a mag plus one in the tube, need some custom work, and tuning for serious accuracy, etc... Originally they were designed as a cavalry weapon replacing the saber. The US Cavalry ordinance wanted a pistol that could be easily loaded on a horse, and packed a punch at a distance of out to 15 feet. Recoil is not punishing and most people can learn to be reasonably proficient. For the most part a pistol is designed to be a short range defensive weapon.

I love my Les Baers and Ed Brown SF .45s. Zero decorative fru fru. Clean, lean, and reduced to the most primal 1911 design. No French borders, No gold barrels. No flat topping, No 40 LPI checkering wirh matching 40 LPI on the extractor head, no ball end milling, no bull barrels or fluting on the barrel chamber, just pure social work pistols. No silly features.
@@sword_racer185 desert eagles are cool and all, but they're finicky. Sometimes they're just not fun to shoot. Like a .500 mag. They're awesome, and beautiful guns, but they're not something you want to spend a lot of time at the range with.
It's the remains of the KRISS SPHINX after they went bankrupt. Their inventory was bought and now they're produced as the B&T MKII and the Phoenix fusion. Look at the bodies and you'll see where the slides have been milled to remove any of the previous SPHINX markings.
The golden finish actually can be practical. Some titanium nitride based finishes are gold colored. Such finishes offer great corrosion & wear resistances.
@Paul Bargo if someone could comfortably afford it that's good and another gun always is a good idea to me. Just looking at it from a design perspective I just don't see anything other than handfitting that would justify that price. If it has cam locks instead of link locks and all that kind of stuff it would be a lot more interesting to me. I'm just not a fan of all of these manufacturers coming out with crazy expensive stuff. It just looks to me like they believe HK doesn't charge enough.

The zevtech has a Garbage trigger, swapped mine out with a Johnny glocks trigger. Also, The alien is Extremely overpriced at $7k albeit very cool with the extremely low bore axis due to the flipped barrel/guide rod position.
