This was probably the best underdog run in all of Ultimate so far. Considering the amount of top players at this tournament and the character this man is playing, I can’t think of a better one.
There's muteace's run at Genesis 9. Although he doesn't play a mid-low tier character, he was relatively low ranked before that. He beat maister, acola, gluttony, light, and mkleo (though did lose GF to leo eventually).

@@TheHiddenNarrative Incineroar imo is definitely better than people think. Revenge is a frame 3 counter. Alolan Whip can be tough to deal with. The character is Kazuya lite with how brutal his punish game is. You don't have to play as perfect as you need to against a great Kazuya. But it's still a lot of fucking pressure to always pick the right option almost all the time. He realistically should be top of Mid-Tier. Skyjay however is also just THAT DUDE

Skyjay is an example that even with a character like inceroar you can do things like this. Dont know exactly what's up with the kitty in comparison with other characters below him in the tier list but for shure this game is awesome and you can pull out amazing things with every single character if you put enought efford.
Which is something a lot of these people don't realize. Ultimate isn't Melee or Smash 4. The game is balanced. The only unviable characters are Ganondorf and Lucario.

Since you mentioned it, i wanted to clarify the thing with revenge of Incineroar. If he gets revenge, you can get rid of it in 4 ways: -Dealing enough Damage (36%) -throwing him with dealing damage after grabbing him (not just the Grab alone since incin could mash out and still have Revenge, and the throw animation can be cancelled as well, so he NEEDS to take throw damage) -timing him out (not happening since nobody camps him out for 60 whole seconds) -getting damaged by any Incin move with revenge (except revenge since that stacks) theoretically, killing him is another way, but thats not an Option I would count here
Every time I see crime and sets not being streamed... I always flashback to wtf did Muteace do to Jake in like 1 minute of the stream being unavailable 😭 bro I've been waiting to see the rest of the Collision matches, forgot they don't all get streamed.

The only person who can beat Lima is Lima with so many SD’s. If he didn’t SD in game 1 and 3, we would have had a totally different game. I think he thought the down air would kill in game one, but that single decision really changed the momentum of the whole set
I like ultimate because almost any character can perform well to top level if the player behind them is good enough. Amazing run by Skyjay. Dude plays like an absolute madman and its super entertaining
yeah but unfortunately it's like age. Even though you grow, you'll never be older than the ones older than you. That's also how it is in the meta. If Incin gets better, so will the other high tier chars.
Grand Finals the battle of cheese. Lol Both played really well as well. Incineroar is one of those characters you can’t fight normally, much like Kazuya. Space, Zone and hard punish when you can.

People whine and cry about Steve but the entire community ignores that Kazuya kills you off of one grab at any percent. And it is entirely dependent on Kazuya messing up, not the opponent getting out of it.
It’s cause Steve was everywhere in NA, he had way more reps than Kazuya and worldwide Acola was a big contributor to Steve dominant results The new tech was just the icing on the cake for people who hate Steve
