    Reading 5ajza looking in the mushaf or of by heart?

    • @muhammadjamessutton
      @muhammadjamessutton 7 дней назад +3

      Both. If you are reading the Quran five times a month, you can read two times from the Book and three times from your memory. If you are in the practice of standing up at night in prayer, you will get the practice of reading from your memory, so you should read more directly from the Mus'haf.

      Ahl Al Quran is your real family. Reverts face so many trials especially in the first years. In Cairo I was told "you are ahl Al Quran" by three people, all who hardly knew me. It was right after 9/11 when my 11 year old son and I returned to our home in Cairo from Boston by the will of Allah when most of the flights were down leaving Boston. Upon our arrival home in Cairo I was asked "who do you think did it? I answered "Allah did it."She said then I was ahl Al Quran although I had only memorized juz ammah and half of surat Al Baqarah and half of surat Al Anfal. But I had always been reading a juz every day for the previous six years ever since I could attend the memorization class when my son started school at age five. Before that I was on my own at home and it was not easy, but I loved it❤
      My brother here is so right when he advised that you read a lot first before you try to memorize. Perfect your pronunciation and memorization will be much easier. We Americans never were trained to memorize anything after our third grade multiplication tables😂
      The smartphone is a double edged sword I never used it because it was not available at that time. Although now the many apps are extremely helpful it's also a dangerous diversion. I was almost 50 when I started my Quran journey. I'm 77 now. I managed to memorize Al Baqarah and Al Imran, Tawbah, Ghafir, Hud, Ra'd over the years in Cairo., and try to review them.
      I content myself now with review of what I had memorized but I spend time in trying to finish the great Kitaab At Tawheed sharh Shaykh Uthaymayn. It's 800 pages القول المفيد it contains not only Quran and Hadith but grammar and seerah along with the meanings of the Arabic words.
      I know that my brother Muhammad James is teaching this in English. I strongly recommend you read this book along with your Quran memorization. You can download it in PDF.
      People are shocked when they asked me who taught me Quran and I say no person ALLAH is enough because I never had lessons I just read Quran constantly and that's how I learned how to understand Arabic. Now I can translate Ibn Taymiyya.. it's never too late it needs focus, a lot of time and dedication, but most of all a burning passion to know the original words of Allah in the original most beautiful language...😊لسان عربي مبين

    Assalamuilaykum Brother beautiful subject. But at times I have said get to the point. No disrespect Insha Allah. To make a habit and to memorize, How do you start to read, where do one start??? Do you learn Alphabet first? This is my issue.

    • @abubakr7304
      @abubakr7304 День назад

      This whole book is on the assumption you know how to read Arabic, so if you don't first you need to learn the alphabet and know how to correctly pronounce each letter, then you need to learn how to read these letters joined up and how to read whole words and then you move to sentences. Then you move on to learn the tajweed rules, when do you stretch a letter, wheb do you read a letter from you bosw etc... onve yoube done this then you can begin rhe steps mentioned in the book and obviously as you read the Qur'an more and more you will become more and more fluent, a page that might have tooken you 5 minutes to read might take you 1.5 minutes etc etc..
