But I have a theory that many of them (Francis included) would benefit more from developing a nuanced sense of strategy, and focusing on timing and positioning, taking the pressure for defense off a little bit.

Just imo, i think Francis can beat Jon. I also feel he can beat Tom, but i feel Tom has speed advantage so it's close imo. I feel Francis from even a yr or 2 ago, or Francis from around Stipe 2 on, was best hw ever overall.

Sometimes, when I see people downplay Jon's skills, it make me laugh. People need to do their research. There is no MMA fighter currently that can beat Jon. He's fight IQ is on another level. Ciryl Gane was whooping Francis standing up, which was why Francis took it to the ground. However, Jon made Ciryl look like an amateur. There's levels to this. Also, Jon studies his opponents. Let's don't forget, he beat DC twice. And if DC was still fighting, I don't see Francis beating DC. Honestly, people really forget how dangerous and skilled Jon is.
