Francis Ngannou. He’s won 7 in a row with his last loss coming 6 years ago and in that time he has wins over Cain Velasquez, Junior Dos Santos, Stipe Miocic, and now Renan Ferreira. He’s a dangerous striker with what is now appearing to be a genuinely dangerous ground game, and has the size and strength to engage in that game with heavyweights of any size. I love Alex Perreira, but he simply isn’t in the discussion; he’s not a heavyweight fighter, and hasn’t ever been. End of discussion. Jones has precisely one win at heavyweight and clearly doesn’t plan on engaging in more than a fight or two in the division before he hangs up the gloves; he’s the greatest Light Heavyweight ever by a mile, but at Heavyweight, and at this time, there just isn’t much to say about Jones at Heavyweight other than speculation. Tom Aspinall _appears_ dangerous and certainly seems to be one of the better Heavyweights currently, but he just has fought the absolute most dangerous guys at that weight yet, so also remains a question mark. The answer is Francis Ngannou.
There's room to argue that Aspinall is more well rounded than Francis. Francis has probably the edge in power, but in HW anyone can one shoot anyone; Tom instead is faster, has much better boxing, jiu jitsu and can wrestle. We could only guess about Tom defense against wrestling and endurance in late rounds, but mostly because no one seemed able to reach beyond 2 rounds against him in the UFC. I really would like to see both of them in the same cage...

Sean Strickland says his wrestling has gone very competitive, just that he doesn't use it much, and who kniws what he has been learning all this time with the The judo champion Harrison
Jon, Aspinall, and Francis all have compelling reasons for why they should be considered the best HW. Hard to say which of the three is definitively the best unless they fight each other. There's not a lot of recent tape to make an accurate judgement for Jon and Francis, but Aspinall's activity is also questionable since he's still only the interim champ.
Ngannou's win over Ferreira just isn't enough to say he's the best. It helps, along with the fact that he "never lost" the UFC belt, but there's no way we can say Francis is the best. Since we won't see him fight Tom or Jon, and Jon prob won't fight Tom, we'll just have to see how Tom and Jon do from here on... But Aspinall is the best HW currently fighting.
Who has Tom beat that makes him the clear #1 heavyweight? His resume isn't what you seem to think it is. Tom is damn good, but he hasn't actually shown much yet. Not his fault.. Jones has been holding the belt randsom, but people who say.. Tom is clearly #1.. it's not based on record.
@@NoRockinMansLand people are tho, maybe not you, or everyone, but they literally are. I know their resumes don't compare, that's why I said we'll have to see how Tom and Jon do... so the only metrics we'll likely have is their resumes. Francis having a better resume doesn't necessarily make him the best fighter right now, but since he ain't fighting Tom or Jon, it's a good case. On paper, he probably is, I just think Tom is a better fighter, which is an opinion.
@@sibusiso2841 No. My opinion is Tom is the best fighter at HW, but the logic is we will probably not see them fight, so resume would be the next decider. Francis has a better HW resume right now, and we'll see how/if Tom and Jon's resumes pan out. The Ferreira knockout is good, but not great. The next few fights in all their careers will be significant.
Chael, you're around 224 lbs to 228 lbs right now. Eat a bunch of pasta put on 10 lbs and go take the belt away from those dorks!! Undisputed and undefeated. Btw, Tito tapped 😂
Tom is the best in the world at heavyweight right now because he's been the most active fighter recently who's in contention and destroyed all elite opposition with ease. Pereira I wouldn't even class as in contention having never fought at heavyweight and actually lost at a lower weight fairly recently.
Frannie's Top Cheese BigTom is #1 contender. I believe Toms speed makes him the favorite but Everyone's trying to talk Fran out of the top spot without getting in there with him, He's earned the benifit of the doubt. Fran would banish Alex to the shadow realm If you think that upright posture of Alex works against Fran OR Tom you've got your nuts on crooked.
Jones is the best heavyweight right now because he can take down at will but is also skilled ENOUGH to stand and strike with the others to then secure a takedown with strikes closing the distance to secure said takedown.
Aspinall gets my vote for best HW right now. I can’t give it to Pierrera since I think Jones would take him out easily. Jones doesn’t get my vote since he won’t defend his belt to the up and comer, and seems to want to hit it and quit it with Stipe. Jones wouldn’t be an MMA legend if all the legends he beat refused to fight him because they were too old and Jones was a scary up and comer at the time. Jones needs to give Aspinall the shot before he retires, or his HW legacy is tarnished in my eyes.
Good for Francis getting the win. But Ferreira probably wouldn’t even break in to the top 10 in the UFC. Truth is, we won’t know who the best in the world is because Francis took the money and ran, no one can blame him for it. And bones is going to retire. That being said, I do think Tom possesses way more problems for bones than Francis does. Francis grappling really is not good, his opponents are just bad. And in stipes case he outweighed the guy by like 50 lbs. There’s a reason Francis weighed in so heavy for that fight, if he didn’t it would’ve gone exactly as their first one did. If bones fought Francis I have to imagine it goes very similar to the Gane fight. Bones is a lot of things, but he’s not stupid and knows that’s what happened to stipe the second fight. There’s a point where size is too much a difference maker.
I think Pereira is still untested against the really big guys in HW. Francis is clearly another elite genetic outlier given his oerformance and the skills you've mentioned. Jon is also arguably untested within HW. Id say Aspinall is probably the safe bet, but honestly the exciting thing about this is that it could go any which way. Jons performance against Stipe should give us valuable information on his current state as well. Three freaks of nature and one young, well polished war machine, a 4 way tournament would be an MMA fans wet dream lol
Chael might actually read the comments 😂😂😂 I asked in a video the other day who else finds it weird energy to promote things .. actively holding it in your hand during videos but not use them Such as the Jocko or the vape thingy and now he actually drank some on camera 😂😂😂
Who tf in the PFL is Francis gonna fight next? Ryan Bader? Ante Delia? I don’t see what the next move is. And, the UFC isn’t gonna collab with PFL, nor should they
Francis Ngannou is my pick for my best heavyweight right now. He has already proved himself against the best heavyweights. He is the most dangerous among Jones and Aspinall. Jones has beaten only one heavyweight, and Aspinall has still to prove himself by defending his belt against people like Gane and Almeida. Perriera has not fought in the division so picking him up is laughable.
Both Jon Jones and Conor MacGregor were wrong. To answer Uncle Chael's question, Jon Jones is the UFC Heavyweight Champion, that makes him the best heavyweight right now.
Aspinal has the body and build to power Alex if Tom shoots after a bad exchange on Alexs part. I can see Alex landing first before Tom gets off his wrestling but i can also see alex missing a counter and tom landing some eddective strikes from mount. It really is a toss up but im going to go with the Heavyweight fighter to win in a Heavyweight fight.
Aspinall. Youth, attitude, dedication, talent. Francis is an incredible dude though, has the attitude and dedication. JJ is a has been, Peeairah I would never count out of anything
Honest answer is.. I have no idea who's the best current heavyweight, because the top 4 possible candidates.. Jon, Alex, Francis, Tom.. haven't fought each other, and maybe never will. If I was to guess who will be #1 by the end of 2025.. Alex or Tom.. most likely Tom. The real question is.. how did the heavyweight division fall apart to where we have no clue who the best might be.
@GoodStuff1992 Only because Alex has talked about moving up to heavyweight, and if he does I think he would be the #1 match up for Tom. Just a guess, but I'm pretty sure Jones retires after Stipe fight.. leaving Tom at the top, but there isn't a lot of top heavyweights that people want to see right now, and Tom has already fought the couple guys at the top, so rather than just have the same guys continue to fight.. I can picture Alex moving up to fight Tom. That's all hypothetical though.
Francis will never box Dubois and Usyk. Dubois knocked out Joshua and Dubois is in his boxing prime. Usyk is the undisputed in boxing heavyweight. 12 round specialist and never been dropped
I REALLY do not like Jones but until he gets beat I can't see anyone beating him. If his inactivity makes him ineligible for consideration, OK; but my opinion is that no matter who Jones's next fight would be right now, I think he would come out the winner. I think he takes down Francis and Alex and gets those wins via ground and pound & much as I hate to say it, I think he does whatever he wants to Stipe (who's pretty happy he wasn't even mentioned by uc) and Tom. I think Ngannou would give him the toughest time, or maybe even win, and is the fight I would like to see most. That would be followed closely by Jones v Pereira. Despite the ground and pound issue the word is Alex has a highly underrated wrestling and ground game and if nothing else I'd love to see that whole build and fight. Alex seems very cerebral in his approach to fighting so I'd really like to see how he would try to deal with Jon. I also think Jones v Alex would be the biggest fight that could be made right now. All that being said, the Jones fight rightfully belongs to Stipe and I hope he wins. 1. Jones 2. Ngannou 3. Aspinall 4. Pereira 5. Stipe.
The best heavyweight is francis considering you have a harder time picking against then for. Its hard to pick against francis against those guys. Its easy to pick tom over jones.
I'm not a jones fan but he beats aspinall and so does ngannou. I think we have to let the cage decide ultimately some good fights to make to figure it out. Co promote pfl champ vs ufc champ sounds like a exciting ppv
I would Love to see Francis vs Jones and Aspinal Vs Piera. Then the winners face off. I believe it comes down to Aspinal Vs Francis for the best Heavyweight today! Jones i believe may have been the best of all time but not today. Aspinal is the most well rounded and the youngest. I have Aspinal taking it for the best today and easily
Uncle chael im surprised you didn't make a video about Macklechev signing to fight in january. Signed a blank contract with whoever the ufc chooses, he doesn't care lol
I am of the opinion that Jon Jones could stumble out of a dui hit and run coming off dope after hiding under a cage for 8 hours and beat up anybody in the world until I have a reason to believe otherwise. He's like mr incredible meets bojack horseman
Wĥen chael says francis is the best in the world what he really means is hes no were near the best heavyweight in the world...JJ would have summit to say bot dat!
Calming pereira as the best heavyweight is borderline disrespectful to the other 3 guys…. Francis and Aspinall are for sure at the top followed by Jon… I think they both beat Jon pretty handily as well.
Jon Jones is retired until the day he steps into the octagon. Okay great Topic two: do we really need a 205 and 265 heavyweight division. Hey let the big guys show up without having to cut weight. That Jocko Fuel sip was sneaky! 🥵
Tricked all the people who skipped the ad in the beginning. 🙏
After buying a Prime- nasty... I scared to try anything else.
We already seen what happens when Francis fights an elite striker with KO power. He goes night night.
Chael: Peheiha
Also Chael: Mucklechev
The best hw right now is the hw who's beaten the highest ranked active hws so Aspinal or Francis
Francis Ngannou the one and only undisputable combat sports GOAT.
Aspinall. Actively fighting. Youth, speed, strength and most importantly- momentum. Those are all on his side
How do think Aj would do in A mma fight with Francis. Hate hate hate.
The best heavyweight is the GOAT🐐, and the predatory lion is Francis Ngannou.🦁👑💪🏽
Let's just overlook what Jon did after being out for over 3 years. Came back in a bigger weight class and beat the number 2 guy in the first round.
If Pereira is not the best at this point,he will very likely be in the near future with his activeness and willingness to get in the fire. Sean Strickland says his wrestling has gone very competitive, just that he doesn't use it much, and who kniws what he has been learning all this time with the The judo champion Harrison
Tom has fought nobody
And would still smoke everyone else in this discussion
Whyte boy gets undermined again even tho he beats Jones and likely Ngannou as well
Jon, Aspinall, and Francis all have compelling reasons for why they should be considered the best HW. Hard to say which of the three is definitively the best unless they fight each other. There's not a lot of recent tape to make an accurate judgement for Jon and Francis, but Aspinall's activity is also questionable since he's still only the interim champ.
Tom has beat more relevant contenders in the last 2 years than Jon and Francis.
if we can get Tom vs. Cyril, then we can consider one of them better (or at least even) via common opponents more or less
Tom aspinal doesn’t need that toy belt that’s all I’m saying
By your logic, Jon with one fight in heavyweight, and tom aspinall have a greater claim to being the best unless Ngannou beats them?
People aren't saying that because of Ferreira. Just compare the resume of Francis and Tom, it's not even close
Has anyone tried the jocko fuel and how is it?
The best guy Aspinall beat is blaydes….he should fight Gane first
Francis is
@@NoRockinMansLand The guy who lost to Stipe, Derreck Lewis and got flatlined by AJ?? lmao
Chael Sonnen is the best HeavyTalker in the world right now , No cap 🧢 and No one even dare to come close
Chael might actually read the comments 😂😂😂 I asked in a video the other day who else finds it weird energy to promote things .. actively holding it in your hand during videos but not use them
Such as the Jocko or the vape thingy and now he actually drank some on camera 😂😂😂
Chael is the best heavyweight right now he kod every heavyweight in the world ❤
Come on Unc you know Dana used to talk about Francis he’s the scariest fight in heavyweight
Three Fights: 1 & 2: Francis vs Apsinall - Jones vs Pereira 3: Winners Fight
i think will be the opposite... Francis Ngannou vs Jon jones and Alex Pereira vs Tpm Aspinall
Uncle Chael is the best heavyweight of all time hands down
Its pretty hard to say but I think if given the chance to Tom will prove to be the best right now!!
Who tf in the PFL is Francis gonna fight next? Ryan Bader? Ante Delia? I don’t see what the next move is. And, the UFC isn’t gonna collab with PFL, nor should they
Technically it is probably Aspinal but I am way to scared of Francis to leave him out of the conversation and that has to count for something, right?
Chael.... you & CCC should get together to offer to help train Francis' wrestling. ❤ Goat sharpens Goat.
Poor Chael... he hates Francis so much that he did not notice the power of emotion thoughout Francis went..😅😅😅😅
You are here to watch fights or emotions. Go watch some movie and cry
Chael sipping that jocko like Obama drinking water in flint, mich.
Aspinall. If Chael says different, he's wrong
All I know is Tom, Francis, and poatan all three are true game fighters enough to find out. Duck bones and boss dana, not so much
Randy Couture the 3X CHAMP
It does not Surprise me he said Aspinal. Not sure how you disagree with that
Yea, Pereira fought a lot mire than all thise combined
Honest answer is.. I have no idea who's the best current heavyweight, because the top 4 possible candidates.. Jon, Alex, Francis, Tom.. haven't fought each other, and maybe never will. If I was to guess who will be #1 by the end of 2025.. Alex or Tom.. most likely Tom. The real question is.. how did the heavyweight division fall apart to where we have no clue who the best might be.
Because The lineal champion left and the LHW ped user held the belt ransom after taking it from a frenchman
why put alex in that mix is beyond me
@GoodStuff1992 Only because Alex has talked about moving up to heavyweight, and if he does I think he would be the #1 match up for Tom.
1. Jones 2. Ngannou 3. Aspinall 4. Pereira 5. Stipe.
To be the man you have to beat the man. Francis is the lineal HW champ. So he, in my option, is the top HW until someone beats him.
Francis or Tom, but maybe Jon. Or maybe Alex if the night is right. Parker Porter if they fought during the week
I don't think Jones thinks that he can beat Aspinall.
Unified the UFC belt with the PFL/Bellator belts like a HW GOAT. UFC cant unify two participation trophy belts in the meantime 😢
Peirera. Even if we haven’t seen him in the division, best striker in the world??? (That can weigh in as a heavyweight)
-coming from an Izzy fan
Him vs francis who do you think wins at heavyweight
Chael Sonnen is the best heavyweight right now.
Pereira is a Heavyweight that happens to make 205 whenever he fights
Uncle chael im surprised you didn't make a video about Macklechev signing to fight in january. Signed a blank contract with whoever the ufc chooses, he doesn't care lol
Why would Anatoly Malykhins name not be mentioned? As far as I'm concerned,he would finish all four guys pictured!!!
Tom until Alex can prove otherwise- Tom is active and knocking people out whereas stipe is old and Jon is a chicken
I am of the opinion that Jon Jones could stumble out of a dui hit and run coming off dope after hiding under a cage for 8 hours and beat up anybody in the world until I have a reason to believe otherwise. He's like mr incredible meets bojack horseman
When it comes to the Heavy Weights you have to go with the hardest puncher...Alex all the way!!!!
And we will never know
Wĥen chael says francis is the best in the world what he really means is hes no were near the best heavyweight in the world...JJ would have summit to say bot dat!
Calming pereira as the best heavyweight is borderline disrespectful to the other 3 guys…. Francis and Aspinall are for sure at the top followed by Jon… I think they both beat Jon pretty handily as well.
If stipe beats jon jones is he not the current best?
Jon Jones is retired until the day he steps into the octagon.
Okay great
Topic two: do we really need a 205 and 265 heavyweight division. Hey let the big guys show up without having to cut weight.
Oh by the way "Chama" is the champ. If Tom wants to turn in his number 1 contenders shot to be the undisputed champ then do it this winter.
Jon, by any way he wants
Jake Paul will never call out Francis even tho he’s not in the ufc anymore. Jake keep on saying he’s 230 lb
He’s 230 with a higher body fat though. He should stick with a 190-205 range
cant really go in "one direction" you'll miss the pool
