Drae, in case you didn't notice there are both soil and asphalt compactors. The machine you mentioned as being used for snow removal in Canada also can be used to spread the base for an asphalt road.
Also love the fact that he claims that you dont use the soil compactors that much.. being in the industry and knowing that you compact the ground before you build anything kinda kills me a little on the inside.. but its funny :P
at 2:50 when you said you wanted it to be harder you can choose the difficulty of the job before you start them, its at the bottom left of the screen above the money you get for the job.

The motor grader is what we usualy have to flatten the gravel, the last layer before putting in asfalt. These machines are usualy rigged with laser to determine the blade hight & angle.
The dirt physics are not that bad, but when you dunp ot, it seems like it is spawning in from the top of the back end of the truck, and that doesn't look too good 🙈
The asphalt paver widens on each side you're basically using half of what you can spread on there, just thought I'd let you know..... EDIT: Glad you figured it out 🤣
I've found asphalt to be ridiculously profitable in this game, also buying a semi and multi trailer allows you to transport a lot of stuff at once and saves you money when fast traveling.
Great series! Such a good game. Try changing the difficulty and that should mean you have to do more in each job (more detail) so its not so simple, it will make each job more rewarding. : )

Drae, read the names on the ASphalt equipment. At first I went, makes sense, ASHphalt because here we call it asfalt and as is ash. But still, isn't it also just asphalt in English. Then I see the equipment and I go 😂 Drae is just special ... 🥰
Interesting with a dozer is that it's working as a tank, no interaction you go full speed and when using it you slow one or both "wheels". Very effective to move alot of soil and when pushing crushed rock you get a really good solid ground as the rocks roll into place and fill the gaps when you work it. Bad thing about dozer, high cost, high maintaince, high fuel consumption so used only for big roads or big areas. Also it is really hard to use if inexperienced. A big dozer doing bad work will take alot of time and money to correct.
Drae you keep complaining about the lack of steps and that game keeps doing stuff for you but I think you can change that by changing the job scope from medium to something larger/more difficult. Also, love this series and would love to see more!! ☺️
A grater is for making a good finished ground. Example on a big road construction. Excavator first making the groundworks, dozer to push out bearings (pretty big rocks that the rain falls through), grader to push out gravel and make sure that it is inclined so the rain falls of the road and lastly a compactor. There finished gravel road, if needed put asfalt and have a roller roll over it and lastly have something put the lines in and you have a regular road

foThose beams on the road are the spawn possition for the premade segments of the brigde. They are attached to the road i guess, and the sections spawn attached to them. That way they don't have physics active on spawn, and will not fly away :)

If you do buy a concrete mixer get one you can add base and water to, to make instant concrete on site. It’s pretty awesome. Idk if it’s in the game.
