100%. I was totally stunned by the absolute destruction of everything inside my unit. I genuinely thought there would be something left but there is literally nothing.
Sorry you lost your cars. Bravo for working to bring it back. you have some really nice ones there you did pick up. Gave you a sub. Hope to see more vids of your journey! Cheers
Nice little shopping trip, sorry to hear about loosing your collection. I would be absolutely gutted if I lost mine. Hope you manage to find what you’re looking for and rebuild bigger and better 👍🏻
@ I read about it on Facebook and was gutted for you. The Slot Car community is an amazing place to be and what’s being released at the moment is top notch. I believe the next Swap Meet is at Milton Keynes in February, great little event 👍🏻
yeah id have bankrupt myself this month had i attended lol love the detail of the SCX Cosworth Tim nice haul there as well look forward to seeing what else you get
Thanks DT! I’m taking it one step at a time but pleased with this as a start. I’m looking for the mitchlin version which I had previously, I loved that slot, it was sooo good.
Ken B's ultimate skill was the single seat ! yes in America there's a rally class with no nav. point to point one day race ! and the HOON was a constant winner ! in Europe there's very few SS events ! rally racing's tough enough try it by yourself !
That class of racing sounds awesome, I'll check that out. You are right, in Europe there is more team rallying and yes, incredibly challenging, one of the reasons I admire it so much. My reference was his performance in the WRC - of the eight seasons he entered, his best result was 7th place (Mexico 2013). I remember he entered the Donegal International Rally in an EsCos and crashed out in Stage 2. My point was there are lots of other drivers in the series which are far less well known but drive consistently to achieve high positions. Full respect to KB - whilst he might not be as consistent, there is no denying his talent and the immense entertainment and inspiration he bought to so many. May he rest in peace ❤️
Dave loved his scalextric when we were kids and showing it to me. Thank you for the dedication to my big brother.
What are the chances of that?! It’s my absolute pleasure, I really do mean every word. He was a true gent and I will miss him deeply
Good luck on the journey of rebuilding your collection!
Thanks! I’ll post more updates soon!
Bless ya I remember seeing the story about this on Facebook; I would be heartbroken. But it's great to see your enthusiasm and determination!
