Put the boat on edge during your turn. Leaning opposite the direction you want to turn will expose the boats rocker and allow you to turn more efficiently. Doing any more MD/NOVA races this summer?
That watch on my left hand is the Amazfit Stratos. Always-on display, GPS, with a SWOLF score that can easily be applied as a "paddling efficiency score," which one of these smartwatch companies will owe me a royalty one day when they finally listen to me and deliver it. But I put it in Open Water Swim mode and it counts strokes and stroke efficiency. Afterward I just change it from swimming to kayaking. There is still no perfect solution for kayakers. I've got a couple other watches that will GPS in Kayaking mode, but they give me no efficiency or stroke statistics. We just need one manufacturer to get on board with making a SWOLF score applicable to kayaking. Maybe KWOLF score. I've talked about this in previous videos, and if a company will listen, I can help them sell the crap out of it to the kayaking community.
Looks like a great place to paddle. Well done!
Thanks for another great race video.
I forgot to ask which boat you would rather have taken after todays experience.
Probably the T-bolt-X with overstern rudder or maybe the Stellar SEL with overstern.

So when you go on these trips are any of the watches you review capable of handling it?
