- We haven't visited the local Flowers Bakery thrift store in a while, so I stopped by there today and bought a few things. Come see what I found! :)

We used to go the bakery thrift store with my mom when I was young. I know exactly what you mean by the "smell" we don't have one anymore. I miss it.

That train in the background gave me some extra ASMR. It's strange but whenever I hear a train in the distance I remember of all those summers spent at grandma's ( she lives near a train station) and I instantly feel relaxed and all my anxiety goes away for a moment.

As a child, we lived right around the block from a rainbow bread bakery (dont think it's in business anymore) and it had a discounted store. Used to go in there with my quarter and by delicious cakes or cookies! And at night when they would bake bread you could smell it all over the neighborhood, it was heavenly!🥰

Growing up, we used to have a Mrs. Braid’s outlet store nearby. I was always really curious about it, but they closed a couple years back and I was never able to go. Now that I know what it was, I feel a bit cheated! Great video, Mary!

I LOVE cheerwine!! And my fav is Cherry sundrop omg I lived in Texas for 6 months and would come to NC and take a 6 pack back with me !! There is a restaurant In Gastonia NC that makes their own cherry lemon sundrop and they put real cherries in it!! It is SO good!! Also my uncle use to make a cheerwine pound cake they are really good! Thanks for the video!

The Kroger near me has Cheerwine! I saw it on the shelf yesterday. Couldn't believe it. I live in the southwestern region of Ohio near Cincinnati. They have Cheerwine now. I didn't get any, because it was like $7 for a 4-pack, but they have it. We have Barq's, Cheerwine, and a ginger ale called Cock n Bull.

That cheerwine cake reminds me of the big red and 7 up cakes my uncle makes. They are sheet cakes but he uses the soda like the cheerwine cake.

Can anyone tell me about the deep fried pie - I get that it's a slice of pie and it's deep fried but is it in something first like batter? (yes I'm Scottish). Or is it just dunked in oil? I'm so intrigued

They're kind of like mcdonalds pies if that's something you've ever had. It's like, wrapping the insides of a pie up in a pastry and then deep frying it.

I love all cherry flavored things, especially cheerwine, but those fried glazed cherry pies are a sugar overload for me. I can only eat half of it at a time. Nice crinkles and whispering! So relaxing after a long day at work. 💙
