Dear Han, would you please be able to tell me, in more detail, how you mounted the motor please? We have the same kayaks and motors but are having trouble mounting them.
Cool setup. You just need to get a flag or something, because you’ll end up getting cleaned up by a boat in something so small. I’ve seen too many near misses.
Hi Han, I'm thinking of getting this kayak. How do you like it? Also does the motor force the kayak to turn right as it is fixed on the left side of the kayak?
Its my first kayak and I have watched many kayak reviews on youtube and I like this Pryml Kayak. The pros = Reasonable price, raised seat and the mounting rail at both side. The cons = The storage at the back is too small to put a milk crate and the only access to the inside is at the front compartment. It's easy to maneuver the kayak and the mentioned force is not noticeable.
@@han.soedira thanks for that. I'm looking for my first kayak too. Does this pryml paddle staight-ish? Or does it just go everywhere? I was told short kayak like this without a rudder can be painful to steer straight.
@@thebaritonechannel9072 Yes its a bit difficult to move straight forward in windy situation but you'll get used to it over time. The rear of this kayak is flat, it'll be easy to install a rudder kit. To be honest, I only go to the water on calm weather. Wind speed below 20km/h. Its more fun and relaxing for me.
Cool thanks. I only plan to take it on the river here. How stable is the Pryml? Could you stand up to fish? Does it go well with the Watersnake you installed?
@@michaelfussell5407 I have 1 aswell you have to angle the motor towards you a fair hit some it is a the side a the kayak I had the same problem when I first got mine so just do that and you will then be all good to go
I'm using SLA battery 12Vdc 18Ah, www.jaycar.com.au/12v-18ah-sla-battery/p/SB2490 just for the watersnake. The reason is only because of its dimension. Its small & fits nicely at the edge of my reject-shop container. Watersnake T18 spec, Low Speed = 7A and High Speed = 15A. If you look at the battery discharge curve at Jaycar website mentioned above, it should give me 45 minutes running at High Speed or 1.5 hour at Low Speed. To be honest I have't tried running it until flat, mostly I'm paddling. I'm using smaller battery for my sounder, 12Vdc 4.5Ah, www.jaycar.com.au/12v-4-5ah-sla-battery/p/SB2484.
Wanting to know the same thing. Did you just screw directly into the rod holder with taper screws? Or did you remove the rod holder and mount properly from inside somehow?
Thanks Han , I brought a T18 after watching ur video :)
Dear Han, would you please be able to tell me, in more detail, how you mounted the motor please? We have the same kayaks and motors but are having trouble mounting them.
I mount it on the rod holder hole, held by self tapping screws.
@@han.soedira just screwed in top on the rod holder or did you remove the rod holder first?
@@anthonyorozco9629 straight on top of the rod holder
Just mounted mine on top the rod holder. Works fine. Thanks
Wow, that would come in handy indeed
Also Han is that a T18 transom? Or the other version
Hey Han, could you possibly show how you have wired up the battery to the sounder and the motor, cheers
I use separate battery for the sounder.
The wiring is simple with switch and fuse in the middle between the plus battery and load.
Thank you. Really appreciate your honest opinions, very helpful.
Added a Watersnakr T24 to my Pryml setup the same way.. on top of the rod holder. Spinning in a circle !! 😬 Thoughts Han? Anyone
The motor is located not at the center, you just need to steer it accordingly.
How did you install and get the long handle from ?
I have the same kayak, was it simple or difficult installing watersnake on it
Yes it's simple
Nice kayaks master...

What size of battery do you use, and how long did your charge last?

Hi I was wondering of how much room do you have to store things under the seat
There are only 2 seat positions. The highest will give you more room to store stuff. W & L will be the same as the seat.
How did you attach it mate? I have a t24 and trying to figure out how you did it!
On top of the fishing rod holder and I screw in the supplied 3 screws straight to the fishing rod holder.
Han thank you so much I can't wait to use mine
Hans did you have trouble with the motor not moving you forward and just in circles? I went out tonight but couldn't go straight

I sacrificed the left rod holder. Mounted the watersnake bracket kit on top of it. I use tapper screws.
Did you just screw straight into rod holder ? Still holding up ?
