    I had the AT3W on my 2018 Tundra and had the same experience. Ran them at 42 psi and at 50k they looked great. Win for Falken.

      That’s great news, they’re definitely a long lasting tire for tread wear. Thanks for watching!

    I am considering the Wildpeak at3. Currently have stock Pirellis on my F150 SC Fx4 3.5 turbo. Was concerned about drop in mpg with the more aggressive wildpeak and 48 lbs each for the SL rated. Your expr?

      Hello they have been an excellent tire, my only negative so far like you mentioned is the weight of this tire compared to other brands in equivalent size. They have taken a hit in mpg with my 295/70/18 size coming in at 68 pounds. That’s the only drawback I’ve had so far with these tires, especially considering the effects of unsprung weight on a vehicle. If you’re looking at SL rated at 48 lbs that shouldn’t be much of an issue though

      Thank you for the quick really. Appreciate much! I’ll probably get the Wildpeak at3 rated SL. Sounds like most of the mpg loss will be Hwy driving. But I can probably live with that. Theres always a trade-off.

      I lost 2 mpg with these tires. Stock size. The traction they deliver is by far worth it!

      I would agree it’s worth the mpg loss for a more durable and capable tire!

    I've been thinking about getting the same tire, and ironically enough, in the same exact size. I have a 2018 f 150 with a 4 inch BDS lift, and was wondering if these would fit with no rubbing and little trimming. Can you give me advise based on your setup?

      Hey I’m running a 2.7” front level Bilstein strut with eibach lift spring and a 18x9 0mm offset wheel. I have slight rubbing in reverse at full lock on the front crash bars. Nothing too concerning, if you have less offset like a 18 or 25mm positive offset you may have no rubbing at all. Hope that helps let me know if you have any more questions!

      @@TrophyTimeAdventures Thanks so much for the reply. I'm running 18'' wheels with +12 offset wheels, so it sounds like I should be able to get away with it since my trucks sitting at least another inch higher that yours. Keep making the videos, your doing well. Ever since I added the lift my 185/65/R18 BFG KO2 which run small to begin with just don't look right. I think I'll give the Wildpeak's a try.

      Yeah you should be fine running a 4 inch lift and a positive offset, my last set of tires were 275/70/18 bfg k02 and they definitely appeared to be narrower than other tires in that same size. If you read through some truck forums you’ll hear others mention the k02 runs a little narrow compared to other brands.

    I’ve been looking at these AT3W for hunting & ice fishing, regular driving. Do you recommend? I live in ND. What are the pros & cons you have? Thank you

      Hey they have been great tires and I use them for the same purposes as you intend to along with my f150 being my daily commuter. Great tires overall with so far impressive tread life. They stay in balance well, remain quiet and have great traction on and off road. I think the only negative would be they are a heavier tire than other brands in the same size comparatively so may impact mpg more than other tires. Thanks for watching!

      How’s the traction on the snow? I’m thinking about waiting to get these until late summer. So I have them before hunting season & Winter

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  Год назад +1

      Traction is great in the snow with the siping and deep 18/32” tread on the LT metric sizes. The full depth siping (down to 3/32”) should carry good wet/snow traction throughout the life of the tire!

    So at 50k, they have the about the same tread depth as a NEW KO2.

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  Год назад +1

      That is correct, new the wildpeaks in 295/70/18 have 18/32” and the k02 have 15/32”. These wildpeaks at least in the 10 ply rating are wearing very minimal on my half ton truck. My last set of tires were the 275/70/18 10 ply k02 and after ~40k miles I was at 6/32” tread on those for comparison. Thanks for watching!

      @TrophyTimeAdventures Thanks for the info. I just ordered a set of Firestone Destination MT2 in 295/70r17 for my FJ Cruiser. I have the exact same tire, same size and everything on my 2500HD and they are at 64k miles and still made it through last winter great. They are probably at 5/32 or better.

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures

      That’s great tread life especially for a HD truck!

      @scootypuffjr. Год назад +1

      @TrophyTimeAdventures the 2500HD primarily gets driven like a car and is amazing in the snow. Only occasional towing and hauling, and it's 6.0 gas so not much tire shredding torque, lol.

    where did the tread depth start out at?

    • @TrophyTimeAdventures
      @TrophyTimeAdventures  Год назад +1

      Hey for my size in LT 10 ply they were 18/32” new. Thanks for watching!

      @@TrophyTimeAdventures thanks for the info! It sounds like you only lost 6/32 after 50k miles. That doesn’t sound bad at all. Putting these on my frontier on Saturday. Pretty excited
