[19:50] I would suggest putting something on the outside of the gates (a stop plate of some sort) to prevent someone from opening them outward and buggering up your hinge. All it would take is a kid (or someone who had a bit to much to drink) forgetting and pushing outward and your gate will be screwed up.
It's your build, you can do it any way you want. If it was mine, I would've left a center gate in front. It will be easier to access the front for docking and loading after a few adult beverages. LOL! You built double steps on the front of your trailer for accessing the front of the boat.... Maybe I missed something. The new style fencing and seating will look great!
I was wondering the same thing. I know the fence is not high, maybe they are supposed to just step over it in the front and step on to the seats, But I guess normally you wont be loading or unloading people while the boat is on the trailer.

Looks amazing. You're doing great work. When I did my boat I drilled holes in the bottom of the cup holder area, attached clear tubing and ran it out of the boat to get rid of the water. Might want to consider that.
The stiffer the tubing the better and i pour a little bleach down mine occasionally. Good to mount the tail end where it's accessible to clear out dirt dobber nests and the like
@@mwilliamshs 21:03 He talks about the spacers. He says he put them there so water doesn’t get trapped... but no new pontoon boats today need that. The fencing is always flush with the floor. This is a great build. I agree there should be a front gate opening with curved seats on the sides, but we all see things differently. The only thing that detracts is the surface finish of the two outboard pontoons. I would see that everytime I walk up to it. I dont know what I would do to remedy it though. Maybe rhino line the tops with silver liner or heavy anti foul paint. I would have to look into something though.
Awesome design! I know you are sponsored by pontoon stuff but I am interested to know how much something like this would cost normally and how much of a cost savings you would get versus buying a new boat with similar features.
