    Wow!!! Nothing like the first run on a new hull design. This is what we always imagine it should be. Those are some impressive performance numbers. The MPG, super quick hole shot and low RPM cruise speed are something to be proud of. You really dialed it in on the design and weight distribution. I am very happy for you! I know it is a tremendous sense of accomplishment for you and Mark. Take care and thanks for keeping us up to speed on the progress.

      @@FishBumpTV I was just throwing an old joke your way Brother!!! I’ve heard everyone has done it at least once! I was probably conceived in a boat and fishing 2-3 weekends a month and rigging boats at my Dads boat business from age 8-13! Hell I did it in my first boat I/O at 26 and it was about 50 F outside of course and boat was sluggish coming off trailer for first time and I was thinking she just didn’t like the cold or a roller had seized?? So I goosed it and got it off ! Because I wasnt letting that keep my pseudo dad and I missing our first opportunity to fish in a boat,right? He pulled the trailer out and I’m putting around ramp area waiting on him and noticed motor sounding peculiar and looking back at it and waters coming out from cover and hollered at him to put the trailer back in quickly but he couldn’t hear me! So I shut it off and jumped in the cold water to inspect the problem and of course I couldn’t reach any of my 2 spare or the plug that should of been in there,because they’ve rolled back from reach! But I was able to reach the empty ice bag and stuck it in there! Then I got back in to get plug and had to get back in the COLD ASS water! LOL!!! Pulled up and tied it up to dock really good and took 45 minutes for the bilge pump to do its job! We went fishing then ! Guess who was installing a back-up pump,float switch and a by-pass to the float switch the next weekend,right!!! Also once we got going looking for a spot to fish & laughing everything off we started bogging down ,discovered a sandbar that wasn’t on the map but we still enjoyed the day! Needless to say that was our first & last trip ever to Lake Houston!!

    Looks great. Loved watching the build. Do you have an estimate for the hull weight? After seeing the build, I don't get the impression that it's light at all.

      Thanks! We estimate the dry weight at around 4500 lbs. Based on how she floats and performs, I think she is about where she should be. Appreciate you watching!

    My boss is building a 26 foot cc with twin 400 super charged mercury 's on it .me personally would go less power for more mpg's .his estate is 200 litres per hour 😂

    • @FishBumpTV
      @FishBumpTV  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, that is a lot of power for a 26! We are running right at 50 top speed, with 3 plus mpg at cruise. Different boats for different folks, it's all good! thanks for watching!

    I’m very surprised at the performance with twin 150’s I have a 29’ Albemarle with twin 300’s and sometimes I feel like I should have trip 300’s on it

      Yes, I am very happy with the performance numbers. That's so important when you cover 4 to 5 thousand miles a year on the water like we do in the charter business. Can't wait to put some fish in this boat! Thanks for watching and commenting!

      I estimate the finished dry weight of the boat to be somewhere around 4500 pounds. That doesn't include fuel, batteries, motors etc. Thanks for watching!

    Awesome video and amazing boat!! Dang 3mpg was that per motor or combined? I may have to get in touch with you about designing something for offshore if youd be interested?

    • @FishBumpTV
      @FishBumpTV  Год назад +2

      Thanks! That's combined motors, actual mpg for the boat. I was very happy with that number. Fuel economy is a big deal when you are in the charter business. I really enjoy the design side of the process, we will see how it goes. Really appreciate you watching!

      @FishBumpTV wow that's pretty awesome for a boat that size and with gas motors!! I wouldn't doubt that it will cut your fuel cost in half

    hey do you guys use a CAD program? if so which one? thx for all the info too

    • @FishBumpTV
      @FishBumpTV  3 месяца назад

      No CAD on the 29. I did the design work myself with a scale ruler and graph paper. I will try to make a video detailing that process for you folks sometime soon. Thanks for watching!

    What kind of top end speed are you getting with twin 150s, also what's the max HP for this?

    • @FishBumpTV
      @FishBumpTV  Год назад +2

      We are still making some adjustments, but we are currently seeing top-end speeds right at 50mph. Max hp will be 500. Thanks for watching!

      @FishBumpTV I've watched all the videos, and I'm looking for a bigger custom boat to fish walleye tournaments in the Midwest which includes the great lakes...which we make long run and limited even with ranger 622 and 400hp, vexus dvx22, skeeter wx2200 etc they have 60-64 gal fuel tanks and limited on run and wasted time of refueling and time is money...I'm interested in a hull in the next year. I have built boats before bowdidge marine plans that are all wood and fiberglass, and I really like the Coosa material.

    What colour grey is the internal flowcoat?

    • @FishBumpTV
      @FishBumpTV  7 месяцев назад +1

      It is a custom color I mixed. It is 6 parts light Grey, and one part black. I have a video in the boat building series that is covering the topic of custom mixing gelcoat. You might find it helpful. Thanks for watching!
