Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

I want to see "Battle Blimp".
A traditional looking blimp with a turret hanging underneath with maximum weapons on it that you can aim about.
Heavily armoured, slow moving and instant death to all enemies and Kan / Moonbo as they join the AI to take you down...

This was such a good series why does it have to be over, I thought this would take longer I enjoyed every video
Continuing the anchor block idea, what if you could attach to an enemy and then change it's course using thrusters to make the it crash? Would be very fun
Something that would great to watch, is builds using the new parts that come with this extension, new planes, helicopters and balloons.
Now that you completed the airborne campaign I was thinking of a build idea that you might be interested in. So i was thinking like a dynamite that launches itself and then have a smart cannon in the vehicle so that you can lock the smart cannon into the dynamite and fire the smart cannon to the dynamite exploding the dynamite in the process.

For future reference, try to keep your guns on your center of mass. When you fire right now, you pitch up. This is because the recoil is thrusting the top backwards, making it harder to maintain a lock.

@Moro Blizniak depends on how you play. Took me 15 hours apparently, but I focused more on making sick vehicles than completion
Would love to see more vids in the future like the ones you did recreating historic aircraft but utilizing the new parts

I think you unintentionally turned at the right time for the enemy fighter to hit your tail and die.

You could make "The Ultimate Chirpo [Vehicle you have]" in this map now that you have all the power cores and pieces, just making the best possible Transport (Helicopter, Plane, Airship, Van, etc...) with 32 seats and the best possible Combat/War (Helicopter, Plane, Airship, Van, etc...) with a ton of weapons
All that having the 51 power cores limitation and the 700 complexity limit
It's something I'm doing now that I finished that campaign and I'm having a ton of fun doing so

What a cool final fight. You need to use everything you used so far such as dogfighting and bombing, plus all of the mayors you helped along the way assembled together and created the ancient weapon. Especially with all of them talking instead of just one. Plus, of course, the huge final objective (destroying the mothership)

Video idea: maybe you could use the anchor to latch on to enemies and try and pull them away
Scrap man you should see if you can go past the speed of sound using the new propellers.
Cosmo already did that, I think.
But not yet with the big helicopter blades.
Create a blimp and randomly place bombs at the bottom, Use two helicopter engines to spin rapidly, then press 'E' and observe the death circle below you.
They really need to make an air race for this as a cool post-game challenge
If the anchor block does attach to enemy planes, you should anchor a thruster to them and see if they get messed up and crash
You guys have to re do everything that you've done. Im excited for this. Even the boat challenges.

If the sandbox now has the enemies, the devs should add spawner options and putting teams on the spawned enemies. Then scrapman and friends can have massive multiplayer air battles.
The vehicle o used in the final fight used 29 power cores. It was modeled after WW2 fighter planes aoth a large propeller in the front and two dragon jet engines attaching the wings to the body. It had 4 rocket pods mounted under the wings and two smart cannons on top. It was the first fighter plane I got to work after the update and I'm really proud of it.
These videos were the best I wished they never ended

You should do a mission gauntlet with a select amount of missions to do and you have 2 teams of 2 and whoever can finish the missions first wins. I loved this series thank you for your awesome content!!
Scrapman you need to do some more sound barrier challenge videos with all of the new propulsion blocks such as the balloons the new propellers and the new helicopter blades as well as all of the new guns

I did the while campaign yesterday and It was so much fun, it helped me learn how to build better

You can create those big planes with turrets that you didn't even have in ancient wars, where there were weapons even in the back of the ship
Managed to find all parts and power cores, you gotta go waaaaay up in the sky over the middle of the map, and check EVERY cave, ledge, and pretty much everywhere on the map just to be sure.
This was good fun to watch and I definitely hope to see more trailmakers on the channel. Especially multiplayer!
Yes the enemy jets can crash and yes they can crash into you. That end mountain is riddled with loot boxes and power cores as there are tunnels all over it. Those jets just keep respawning. Also you do not need the bombs any more. I like taking extra missiles as they can one shot the red guys with I think 4. The missiles also have no recoil and a wider aiming arc than the minigun.
I have found one of the more stable fliers. Do a pole that is in the center and put counter rotating helicopter servos, but not blades. Use gimbal thrusters on 1x4 tubes. sticking out in pairs or groups of fours. Then another helicopter servo to turn and some thrusters to move forward. You can even put a thruster above the helicopter servos if it tips to much. I finished the Airborne campaign and backtracked to the regular campaign (I started playing about a day or two after the Airborne DLC came out so I am still new. Making a controllable flier has been bugging me. I downloaded a few, found the spinning gimbal thruster idea and modified it heavily.
You could figure out what the diving/underwater stuff is about by rewatching the cutscene, the ice and all water related stuff Is the ocean campaign you can do after the airborne one

You could do a multiplayer battle but using whatever vehicles you ended up with upon finishing the campaign.

Judging how the reaction of the enemy jets and your plane/creation interacts, it would be interesting to try and make a plane that has literal missiles. Like missiles made out of just thrusters and other pieces that detach from your plane and then hit the enemy jet. Would be cool to see how that works!

As an Ace Combat fan, and a ScrapMan viewer, this video makes me all sorts of happy.
I think you should do a battle where 2 ww1 biplanes are trying to shoot down a 4-engined ww1 heavy bomber, would be nice to include the version of this biplane which had its smart cannons still.

Try to make countermeasures by having a bunch of small blocks connected to a series of detachers so that enemy guns lock on to those small fragments instead of your creation

The pirate jets do kamikaze runs. My airship has been kamikazed a handful of times. They've even tried to drop bombs on my airship...
I would like to see you guys do the evolution challenges that originally brought me to you channel.
Create a vehicle to achieve X condition, then take the winners design and improve upon it.
An idea I had was to make a glider with the task of damaging a speeder, winner is whoever does the most damage, you can equip x number of raw jets but can only fire them once. Goal would be to completely take down a speeder. Everyone starts at the same location with the speeder at the same starting point
Tip: if u dont wanna miss rocket strikes u have to be stable, 2nd tip: u can also use rockets to blow up sheld generaters
I think a cool idea is making like a supersonic spear plane and seeing the effect of enemies on a supersonic vehicle.
See if you can anchor to various enemies, such as the red balloons, the blimps, and even the speeder
I'm already so excitet for the new Scrap Mechanic Series :)
Trailmakers multiplayer idea:
Treasure hunt! People have to build Airplanes/Submarines/Multi-terrain vehicles within a certain power core limit (or multiple vehicle types for a single campaign) for the Airborne/High Seas/Stranded in Space campaigns, and get as much treasure as possible within a time limit. Gold chest/pile is 1 point, a part/totem/scrap pile is 3 points, people can choose to team up or go against each other, in their local lobbies or in a big shared lobby. With the new weaponry, it would be fun to see people choosing between sabotaging each other or trying to get points faster. I think it would be most fun if there would be multiple vehicles allowed per treasure hunt, so each person has a treasure collecting vehicle, a quick traveling vehicle, and a vehicle with a lot of firepower. Or maybe, one person is designated against 3 and has to stop them from collecting the treasure as quickly as possible. I think its a fun idea either way.

Some enemies seem to spawn instantly in sandbox mode though, like the blimps.
You should make it so that the part that hooks on them can detach from you and have it be REALLY HEAVY. So they plummet.

Dog fight evolution will be so awesome
The idea of sticking sticks of dynamite onto the fighter and bomber planes with anchor pins sounds like a time challenge, stick 3 planes with explosives that detonate, who does it the fastest wins.
I think a cool thing to do is make something like a flying platform of cannons or rockets or bombs
there should be campaign vehicle competitions where everyone uses their campaing vehicles for something like a dog fight
Trail makers should have more of these campaigns, they’re so good

Capture the flag on the campaign map.
Two teams of two, each with one cargo plane and one fighter jet.
The cargo plane needs to steal the “flag” from the other team’s base and get it back to their lwn while avoiding the cpus and the fighter defends.
You should do another plane evolution with these new parts

One was pursuing me in my monocycle balloon when it just went face first into the mountain side
seeing that recoil was an actual issue, a recoil-powered plane would be interesting.
i thought this series would go on for like 15-25 episodes. i think this just serves as an introduction and not some kind of a challenge.
So take one of the enemy AI balloons, take a detachable block that is just a ton of 50 kg weights and anchor blocks and drop it onto it. Will the balloons go down or are they anchored in place? Will they flip? Can you anchor them to the ground and have them kind of jank out? Same line of thinking, can you anchor one of those land speeders in place? You wanted to also test out your sticky bombs, well the land speeder's there for you to try it out on now.

The pirates have been defeated, except for all the ones that are still here and respawn endlessly for the sake of gameplay
@@TheMasterofBlu I know they keep em in for fun and sandbox purposes, but the chirpo saying there defeated as 1 flys right over them is just funny
Hey ScrapMan, for your future experiments in the Airborne campaign, I think it has a sandbox mode with all the parts unlocked, so if you ever need unlimited power cores, or just missing a part, you can try switching to that.

In the map, you can see in the right how many of anything you have collected, and you didnt collect all the chesst items atleast when you finished with the chests in the middle area.
