2012 is missing because that's the year the world ended. Ok, for real though, got struck by copyright, it happens (also 2008 too).
So here are the facts in text form!
- 2008 was Usain bolt's second year running the 100m, and he ran a world record of 9.69s (duh).
- 2012 was the year of the fastest 100m race in history, and the greatest 100m race of all time, hands down. It was the 2012 London Olympic 100m final, I advise you all watch it, as it's just one of those races that gives you goose bumps every single time.
Noah
I think the footwear is getting better also, so he possibly would run faster now at his peak. That is possibly.
I think we would plateau eventually
Arshad Nadeem will break every record.
Insallah.
Pakistan will be World champion un every sport
Usain Bolt's records might stand for decades now. I don't see anyone on the horizon even coming close. The fastest runners today are all high 9.7x. No one is threatening to run a 9.6x, let alone get close to 9.58.
Oh without a doubt. Dude was different.
Letsile tebogo will break the 100 and 200 record one day
@@kaszym4qimin dream
maybe century. except nike and adidas made some rocket shoes
9.58 is insanity. Just as you said, no one is running sub 9.7 right now, so Usain's record looks like it'll stay intact for quite sometime. I wonder what the person running sub 9.57 will look like 👀
Imagine getting 9.71 and getting second place
Crazy😭😭😭
and not just 2nd place but a gap further than the gap betweeen 1st and last place in the 2024 olympics. 9.91 (last) 9.79 (1st)
9.58 is insane. Nobody is even getting below 9.7
yohan blake's 9.69
@scottwarren4998 even that won't be beaten for a long time
@@Majorlolsthat time will literally be beaten this year, probably by Noah, mark my words 😂
@@jaredbowen3527 Noah isn't close, he's in the 9.8s
Yohan Blake and Tyson Gay are the only sprinters other than Bolt to run sub 9.7s
Its crazy how Bolt was always ready for the big races. Not just physically but also mentally an absolut beast.
maybe he trained well ;-)
@@GoerkeGesundheit Maybe he was using banned substances.
@@haroldpierre1726all of them will be
@@psilocybinenthusiast5200 If you pick the top 10 professional sprinters, you have 10 chemically enhanced athletes. As Victor Conte said, anabolic steroids are used for training purposes but provides months to years of benefit after the use stopped. The runners getting caught are just not smart.
Gay is not the second fastest, Blake is! Gay had a +2.0 m/s tailwind in his 9.69, which is barely legal; Blake had basically no wind of any kind during his 9.69 run.
Legit tho like Gay is crazy fast but saying he’s faster than Blake is objectively not true
Скажи еще что Блейк не был в туалете перед забегом и у него были лишные 300 граммов
Tbh, Gay had a higher top speed, and got injured right before the 2008 olympics. I bet he coulda run 9.65-9.68 then
@@footballvidshd5421 He does have a higher top speed but Blake can hold his form for longer. Blake is faster than Gay and Gay is the clear 3rd fastest.
If we are talking about fastest times then yes Yohan Blake is definitely faster but Tyson Gay has more faster times than Yohan Blake and just because you have the faster time doesn’t make you a overall better sprinter for example Florence Joyner is not the GOAT of female 100m because she has less sub 11s than Shelly Ann Fraser pryce therefore I consider Tyson Gay a better sprinter than Yohan Blake though Yohan Blake still has the faster time(note that in 200m Yohan Blake is 100% better than Tyson Gay)
Can you all stop saying Tyson Gay is the second fastest of all time....check your facts...its Yohan Blake
They are tied at 2nd place
@@StevenGRUniverse No. They are not tied
Blake ran a 19.26 seconds 200m
That's the 2nd fastest time in history
@@amooolusina6978people uses the 100 m to determine who is the fastest
100m fool. They are tied.
They both ran 9.69
Funny things. The highschooler that beat Lyles failed the drug later in the year xD
That's unfortunate.
Off of a gummy that Gatorade company gave him 😭😭
This is by far and away the most concise and well put together compilation of world recordness in recent times so well done 👏🏼🙏🏼
It’s ridiculous people talking like today is a golden generation of runners. Bolt, Gay, Blake, Powell, Gatlin, no generation of runners are beating those guys.
No1 says this is a golden generation. U makin up ur own arguments. We all know the gen b4 was more special. Jus look at the times. No1 is that daft when u can jus compare all the times
@@nwameperez9075 There are people comparing Tyreek Hills to Noah Lyles. You may have heard about it. I thought it was a joke but it isn’t. Comparing times doesn’t matter because the claim is today’s runners haven’t peaked yet, so there is always some magical hope they will all suddenly improve times by over 2 tenths “some day” in the future. Pure lunacy and ignorance amongst the general population is a thing.
Track&Field isn’t the same after Usain Bolt the Goat. 😢
Bolt and Gatlin had the sprint world in a Choke hold for years
Bolt had the sprint world on choke. Not gatlin. These times don't really mean much at the end
Do they name these guys knowing they'll be sprinters?? Bolt, Gatlin, Blake, Powel, all sounds like speed
Bolt's 200m world record seems to be unbreakable for centuries now.....he ran 200m in 19.19 thats 9.59 for each 100m.
the 200m record is way more breakable than his 100m, the 200m always has faster 100m splits than the 100 because you’re running the second half with a running start so athletes regularly break 9.59 in their splits
Nice video!Usain was truly amazing!
I feel like usain bolt slightly pulled off in 2009 record race ..It could have been 9:54or below
With roids you can easily go below 8 seconds
@@bigdavedayday1581no . 8 seconds no human will ever do that
Where there is Bolt ⚡ there is Gold😊🥇
1. Usain, blake
2, gay
3, asafa
4,gatlin
5, degrasse
This is r world top 5 runners❤.
I miss that era when they all ran against each other. Now all of them (except Blake & De Grasse) are are retired 😢. I don’t see anyone beating Usain Bolt’s records anytime soon but I hope Blake is in great form for the Olympics again, and I want De Grasse & Noah Lyles to win medals too
Usain Bolt vs Yohan Blake vs Tyson Gay vs Asafa Powell vs Justin Gatlin is probably the best & most competitive era ever. I hope we can see something like that again soon
@@onaematopiaya we can see soon. I hope Blake will break usains 9.58 record🔥💥
I would say Zharnel Hughes is the WL for 2023, he’s the first one to run it.
Would rather Lyles because no tailwind so it’s more impressive.
You can also say the same thing about Coleman
Christian coleman had the fastest time accounting for winds.
Lyles is equal to the WL time and World champion so I guess he really is the WL.
Tyson Gay beat Usain Bolt on 200m final in Osaka 2007.
You're wrong.
I still look at that Gatlin 9.74 in 2015 and wonder if he could have gotten the American record if he didn’t shut it down a few meters early. That looked like 9.68 in the making.
Nope. Dude has got the best juice like Carl lewis
Bolt is untouchable for the rest of infinity and beyond
Justin Gatlin to be the world's fastest man at age 34 means he was on that Vitamin S, if you catch my drift.
tobego is new sprinter star
Together with Knighton
Te-bo-go
he just won the 200m so you're right lol
I don't believe anyone can challenge Bolt's WR until another sprinter with his size comes around. Most sprinters are at or near 6'0" tall, while Bolt is 6'5". What made him special was his ability to accelerate off the block as well or better than the smaller runners and then obviously with his longer legs, his top speed was unmatched. Until someone around 6'5" with the fast twitch muscles of a 6'0" runner comes around, this world record will continue to stand.
It is incorrect to say Gay only beat Bolt once…he actually beat him prior to Bolt reaching his peak potential. In one 200M, Gay saw Bolt’s potential, and joked with him that he thought Bolt was gonna catch him!
They were talking about the 100m
@@thesource0024 it was their choice of wording that said it’s the only time he beat him. They both run both events. Interestingly, Gay has won more overall.
@@stevie586 Bolt won more overall.
@@thelegacyofgaming2928 actually, Gay has won more overall. In the 100M, Gay beat Bolt once and Bolt beat him three times. In the 200M Gay beat Bolt six times and Bolt beat him twice. That is seven times Gay beat Bolt and five times Bolt beat Gay.
Look at the title , what does it say?
In a race where .1 seconds make a huge difference, improving the start time seems to be easy pickings, or so it seems.
Thank you verymuch.
👍🙏🌹♥️🌠🥇🏃🌠🌹♥️🌷🌠💫🌌😘
Damn. That means that interesting fact comment I made is gone too 😔
Just post it again HAHAHA.
I could be be wrong, but I think the person that could break Bolt’s records would have to have a similar stride length as their base. With that base they'll also need a strong but not necessarily great start followed lastly by top end speed endurance. The last part along with the fastest top end speed ever (Bolt at 27.78 followed by Gay at 27.61) is where Bolt really shined when he was in his prime. I just don't think its possible for guys under 5’10 to beat his records as while they tend to have better starts than the taller runners, their top end speeds aren't as fast as Bolts and they also don't maintain those top speeds as well as Bolt did.
That run where he celebrated 10m before the finish i believe could've taken him to a 9.53 or 9.50 or so
its been figured out that it wouldve been around 9.62
@@cattycats4correct. We’ve seen the splits countless times already
Bro you have no idea how 100m works it seems
To bad he’s an idiot that celebrated
Thanks, good video.
cmon noah, against all the odds, against an entire nation, against all nba fanboys, u did it, first was the true, NBA is "not the world" so no one should say "im a world champion team" after winning NBA, and second everyone went against u because of that, hate watching the olympcs but u did it!

Hey Jumpman, you forgot to mention 2021 Marcel Jacobs
i wish bolt when he did that 9.58 didn’t slow down towards the end. I’m sure he could done a 9.49 or even below.
Yohan Blake the second fastest man of all time
100m : 9.69
200m : 19.26
Bolt was on the special juice that day lol.
You left out the great Ferdinand Omanyala from Kenya.
If Usain Bolt has a son, he can beat the world record.
Remember when Usain Bolt could slow to a jog and get a 9.69?
These guys are adults, pros and have top trainers helping them, but they're only about 0.5 to 1.0 second faster than some high schoolers and middle schoolers. The record for the region I'm in, and this is in Ontario Canada, is 10.89 for Midget (under 14 yrs), 10.53 for Junior, and 10.41 for Senior. In the USA the record is 9.98 for highschool.
I just thought because of all the extra years of training, good nutritient, enhencements, and being and adult would give the pros a huge advantage, but really the result between pros and amateur is quite slim. This sport is really a game of inches.
1 second is HUGE in 100m terms 🤣
1 second is a huge difference lol
Lol spoken like a child
@@thesource0024 But it's a full-grown enhanced adult vs a juvenile 13-year-old to produce a 1 sec (about 10 metres?) difference though. I had the thought that it would be like me racing an 8 year old kid and beating him by 20-30 metres.
Edit: Or maybe I should be impressed by how good and fast a 13 yr old is already.
@@pheejl7534 Bolt the ran 19.93 at 17 (when he wasn’t training properly or taking track seriously), and. Set the record of 19.19 as an adult. Be as impressed as you want, those 13 year olds won’t magically start running 6 seconds in the 100m once they’re 22.

They all seem to get slower as the years go by
They can all forget trying to run 9.5x that’ll stand for decades unless someone does it juiced up
Great channel. Subbed.
here after he won the gold at paris olymptics
3:55, maybe now. But the widest of all time has got to be Harry Aikines-Aryeetey
Did this commentator call Gatlin...The LeBron James of sprinting??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
And completely disregarding the fact the reason he was running well in the later years of his career were down to PEDs.
Bolt really should've challebged himself more, really feel he could've ran an under 9.5 😂
Coleman has the frame to play football
0:39 yohan blake is the 2nd fastest of all time. he is so underrated.
They actually have a tied record 9.69 but tyson ran that time with a bad start and a head wind
Running PB at 34 isn’t because you’re a legend, it’s the benefits coming n what you couldn’t run for years due to PEDs
So what do you say about Shelley and Kim Collin’s?
@@mssha1980Jesus said to him “I the way,the truth, and life no man come to the Father but by me” John 14:6

He is. NBA has really weak drug testing.
Hahaha... The right Guy in the thumbnail name's.

Feel sorry for Gay, Blake and Gatlin. In any other era they would've smoked everyone else for breakfast!
Lyle's is no match from previous winner
0:38 This video can’t be right. Bolt was wearing a blue top and to Gay’s left in that race.
The clip is from his wl of 9.78 - not his race against Bolt
Issam 😂 The guy who isn’t running this year so far cuz he’s BANNED
Without bolt the other three would’ve been 1st in todays track
And now that Video again, but just with a list of people who never got caught doping:)
Why do i feel
He said was running faster in 2008 .If he didn’t slow down i think he might have ran below 9:58 .He was flying
where is Yohan Blake 9.69??? I think you are wrong my friend
It's hard to take any of Gatlin's times seriously as he has been banned for doping. Once a cheater always a cheater
blake and gay - pizdec awesome guys, best of da best
Tyson Gay is the third fastest behind Johan Blake.
It's funny to look at the athletes on the list who took doping
what about Donovan Bailey in Atlanta in 1996. Last when the race started...and then he came back to win AND with a world record at that time.
WHERE IS JACOBS?
Gay powell gatlin blake boult all under 9.80
5 best of the best we might never ever see in sprinting again
Why you didn't mention Jacob?
2008 looks the fasted. If you would finish it mit 100%, it would be lower than 9,59
De grasse ran 9.69
And yet my pb for the 100m is 60m
I feel like it needs to be another tall guy like Bolt if it's happening. I think people born now might die before someone catches Bolt, seriously. Freeeeeeeak.
