+Bolloxed The Nihilanth part was my favorite.
+Bolloxed Gaming I have a question, and I can't find an answer anywhere! I'm unable to get proper widescreen to work in Half-Life Goldsrc. The default has two thick black bars on each side. There is a widescreen option, but it cuts off top and bottom portions of the FOV. When I try playing it in Software mode, it's more pixelated and although it's in widescreen and doesn't mess up the FOV, it basically stretches everything to make it widescreen which creates this strange effect whenever I look around. Any advice? I got it off of Steam if you're wondering.
+Bolloxed Gaming 47:08 epic fail :D
+Matt Ward Um, this was 1998, WHAT THE FUCK WOULD YOU EXPECT?! xD

As a kid < 10 years old, I remember playing this game for hours and hours. Now looking at this gameplay as an adult, I realize I never got past the 15:00 minute mark. My mind couldn't understand all the strange images after the accident and I thought the game had glitched or I had broken it. Since I couldn't progress any further or didn't know what to do, I kept replaying those 15 minutes again and again trying to prevent the accident from happening :D That's basically my memory of half life and I still loved it lol.
Exactly the same with me 🤣

I was only 10 when I first played this game, but still, his speedy walkthrough and no fucks given approach to the game makes me feel dumb. I easily spent 12+ hours playing through this game.
+*Kyle Young* It's a pretty averagely long walkthrough for an experienced player. I personally use a bunch of tactics and tricks to skip through large portions of the game. With enough knowledge and experience, you can pretty much just skip We've Got Hostiles and Power Up. On A Rail also becomes a piece of cake and can be finished in about 5 minutes. With enough experience and trickery, you can complete the game in about an hour, if not less than that.
It's ok, I'm 26 and I've beaten the game in about 20 hours.
dude he must have spent 12years to attain this speed. relax bud. You're the champ!
bodybuildinglegendo It really doesn't take 12 years of practice to get through the game in 3 hours. I've only had the game for a little over a year and I'm able to beat it in about an hour. You really just need two things: Knowing plenty of tricks/bugs that you can use to your advantage to speed up or skip entire portions of the game, and a lot of practice with Half-Life's movement. It can be tricky to get used to, but anyone can get the hang of it with enough practice.

Watching my brother play this as a kid always stressed me out. This game was too huge (huge area of exploration, many outcomes and choices depending on player), and there's nobody around to tell you what the next step is. Watching this guy rush through the game gives me so much aha! moments and it's crazy. Like, there are parts where you would have never known how to get through unless you have a really good eye.
I remember my brother invited his friends over one day and they played this, and for 2 hours they were stuck on the ersatz elevator part (28:45) and it honestly gave me the worst first impression of the game. The feeling of not knowing what to do is not very satisfying, and for some reason, seeing this guy just breeze through it should make me happy, but it doesn't!

Well said... Valve truly does their best to make quality games that can be played no matter how far technology has come.
Half-Life didn't take 3 years to make. It runs on a heavily modified version of the Quake engine and Quake was released in mid 1996. Half-Life was released in November of 1998.

Half-Life originates the NPC KILLER! Skyrim must be proud. And yes, i kill/destroy everything on my path, it's funny =D
Guards seem to give ammo.
Im glad I found this. I'm not one for commentarys when it comes to games like these, so when I found this I felt happy. Thanks man
The slippery essence of time. How quickly it can come and go.. It definitely feels like an eon ago I was playing this as a snotty nose child. The memories

I remember seeing Freeman, Age 27, as a kid and be like woah that's so big. Now I am 27, and boy am I far from feeling this capable.
Me and you both almost 28 now lol
Same but I'm 26

Fábio Pereira one of the best and most influential shooters of all time without a doubt. This game was so far ahead of its time, and this is coming from a kid who’s first shooter was halo 3 in 2011
Half life is one of the most loved series

Fell asleep to this going in and out of consciousness after my wisdom teeth came out. Love you man
First minutes of the game feels like I was exploring the underground Umbrella Corporation.
i just watched all movies of resident evil a few months ago and it reminds so much. Even why i played Half Life Decay today, it felt so much like Umbrella Corporation :D

True masterpiece... I remember the day I bought my box with this game in Atlanta, Georgia. I was like 10 and I was so damn excited! My aunt actually bought this game for me and she was worried if this game suits my age (had “M” rating). The truth is that I wasn’t much into gaming industry and I actually didn’t know what I am about to face that summer. But when I started it I was amazed to my brain. This game gave me the interest to science. It gave me so much goosebumps and I remember every single corner of that world. Of course through the time I forgot a lot of things but this video brings so many good memories back. Thank you for uploading. I wish someday they will make a movie. Although, I am almost sure that today’s producers will fuck it up. So let it just stay in my dreams. Love you, Half-Life
Waggy Waagg thats a good story !
13:16 so brutal
@Welca your dad is 44
Welca benchode why u assuming a random persons age? U dont even know him

Had to see this again, played it to the end, 15 years ago... well played. Will see this again in afterlife, I guess🙏🏼
Man that's creepy lol. I believe you can replay this on any PC nowadays
@@helmerdelcito3941 but you cant feel like when you was a kid.... I hope that we can feel that in heaven
What a weird comment.
Wasn't he in heaven when he played?
Who else finds watching gameplay of a game you own and can play just more relaxing. It’s weird, I have so many games and I prefer just watching them.
04:14 lmao the nods and the head shaking on what the NPCs say 😂
I've just finished this game. Thank you for the help when I was stucked! This was a incredible game!
You were stucked eh?
I only played this game about six months ago, and it already feels nostalgic for some reason
This isn’t Half-Life, this is Half-Life: Source.
Ha! Like you know what it is
@@Husain5XG I know the difference. I think you haven't played a Half-Life game before.
@@Husain5XGIt is Half-life: Source shut up if you don't know anything
3:20 lol , that moment when your desperate for a job xD
my what?
This video is like comfort food to me. Whenever I don't know what to do (as in killing time), or just want to watch something with my brain turned off, this walkthrough is one of my favorites. Sometimes I turn down the sound because I know what everything sounds like and listen to the Allmans.
Got this game automatic when i got counter strike 1.6
Wait you missed the CS 1.4 beta. Ohh man brings back memories. Year 1999, i was 17 years old.
Well you got the game you can play multiplayer but not the story mode.
And this is Half Life: Source
Half-Life was amongst the first games I ever played, came with my first PC ...
But till date it remains one of the best, if not THE BEST, game ever made
