I was playing the four string version of this bass in the guitar store today. It was great. According to Ibanez, the top string is tuned to G and the second string is tuned to D. I want a bass factory tuned to D Standard. I do not need five strings or even four strings. Three strings tuend to D Standard would work just fine for my music. However, I am curious to this five string bass. Is it also tuned to Drop G with the other four strings in D Standard?

I have that bass and it definitely needs a setup, better strings, and someone who is not making rookie mistakes buzzing the sloppy notes all over the place. It's a fantastic bass for the price. I recommend steel core Beams or Ernie Ball Cobalt.

Looks much better than dingwall but dingwall sounds alot better for my ears.

The fanning on DIngwalls are more pronounced. Dingwalls are 34-37", whereas these are 34-35.5".
