  • We are so thrilled to proudly announce that 30 king cobra hatchlings were released into the wild after protecting the nest which was located close to farmland in the human-dominated landscape of eastern ghats hill ranges in Northern Andhra Pradesh!
One of our main objectives is to protect and scientifically monitor king cobra nests in the eastern ghats and so far, we have been able to protect 2 king cobra nests in the last couple of years and released more than 60 hatchlings into the wild.
Note of Caution: King Cobras are a legally protected species under Schedule-I of Indian Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 and a special permission from the State Chief Wildlife Warden is mandatory for rescuing the species or implementing in-situ nest conservation measures both in forest areas and non-forest landscapes.
