First time I've ever seen this, fwiw. Found your channel and I'm learning all about these crazy new GIjoe vehicles through your unboxings. Super rad to see
Even with the 17 month wait this thing still managed to come out better than I was expecting. It's amazing. I get what you mean too about how long it was to wait and how expensive it is you want everything to be perfect down to the paint aps of figures faces. It's not like a retail figure where you could fairly easily hunt down another. It should also be pointed out that in the AH-1 Cobra the helicopter can be piloted from either seat. The back seat (Command) was in charge of the mission and the missile systems while the front (Gunner) controlled the machine guns and communications. So really, not that it matters that much, but you could put Wild Bill in either seat to pilot the Dragonfly.
This indeed looks very cool man. I hot mine this week but no plans to open it until I install new shelves in NY garage. The quality is there also the box is huge in comparison with the Hisstank. I open the first box then the second one and the 3rd box is the actual Dragonfly...😃💡👍
Very nice review sir. Long time watcher of your channel, but I rarely post comments. I've always enjoyed your style of sharing the opening experience or "unrehearsed" version with your videos. Valuable in cases of what to do and what not to do, lol. Thanks for your time and hard work making these. Very informative and entertaining. Ill probably come back for another watch when mine shows up.
Thanks, Lawrence! I watched the whole video! Canopy seems fine on mine. Everything related to the Dragonfly itself seems fine. I just need to open the figures.
Enjoyed the review Lawrence, props For the og one in review of the classified scale comparison I do laugh to myself at times when standing a figure next to the canopy and see the classified fig is about as tall as the vehicle in the piloting area of the copter 😂 but I know they’re scaled down due to size of the vehicle already so I’m not complaining or critiquing their scaling choice to the figures just funny to notice that As always fun and interesting Haslab review sir
Great vid! Love the mic, giving you the flexibility to not be stuck behind a boom arm with this big ass Copter! Looks great! I'm enjoying mine as well! And yes, it is FUCKING awesome!
I didn't have the original Dragonfly but the Tiger Force Tigerfly when I was a kid. Loved that thing, the reason why I wanted that Tiger Force Recondo so bad. Also the reason I got this bad boy. This felt so premium compared to the other vehicles. The plastics are good, the blast effects seem higher quality, and just how everything was packaged just seem like a lot of care was put into it. Not a huge ordeal, but I wish they would have made the big Dragonfly sticker (the big one you're considering for putting on the base) a little smaller. I had trouble situating it just right on the base and even after being super careful where it was placed, it still goes over the edge just a smidge. Great review man.
Good review, got Dragonfly, the front window door on mine had a tiny piece of plastic from sprue in hinge. I had to super carefully lift it. And the 24 on the side position was changed for some reason. And I had a stuck seatbelt. But other than that, I really enjoy the product. Plus, I was rooting for Glenda!
I backed the Dragonfly since I didn't have either of the original 3.75" scale versions. The only 3.75" scale helicopter I have is the Locust from '90. I was surprised how large this Dragonfly was after watching the Pulse unboxing a few months ago. Their camera was zoomed out so that affected the size perception. I did see a few posts on Reddit about the canopy side door hinges being fragile. Mine are fine, but I don't plan on opening the side doors. The peg fir the seat harnesses were tight, I thought was going rip the belts. It should've been looser like the Trouble Bubble harness. I only applied the Dragonfly logo to the stand which I'm glad was included. Lots of air/space vehicles lack stands but that is an issue regardless of toy line. I don't know which stickers I'll use on the rest if the Dragonfly, if I use them at all.
I had the O-ring version and I loved it! I think it was my favorite over the SkyStriker, which I loved as well. I agree that when Hasbro ships things they are packaged very well. My VAMP and Stinger were packaged just the same. What is the red "light" on top near the rotor? Is that a light that doesn't light up?
You’re welcome and thank you for watching. Also good luck on moving next year if plans go right, the fear of moving to another state and taking everything I own is scary 😂
I was not aware of Glenda but I like them honoring an international release. Her gear is also good. Wild Bill is so good I almost don't want him to be in the Dragonfly, rather have him on a shelf for easy visibility. But wrong to not have him in it. Edit: Forgot to say thanks for the video. Already opened mine but I watched anyway just to enjoy.
@Apunkwithtoys She is a good figure. Obviously a repaint but I like the head sculpt and the harness. Unfortunately couldn't fit her in the front seat with the harness, but I ordered a second Airborne to sit up front and keep one out on the shelf. So may have her harnessed to the winch.
Question, once you click snapped all the pieces together for the DragonFly, is it at all possible to remove those pieces so that you can put it back into box for storage? or for moving reason?
I think so but I’m not about to be that person to try. Gun Bunny Customs has already ripped one apart so he might have that in one of his newest videos.
I received my Dragonfly yesterday. if you push and hold the light button for few seconds, all the lights come on. After about 10 minutes, it turns off.
My plans are to move to another state in the next year or so. Really don’t need to break it while packing it up. I do want to open it though just like the Hiss Tank
This heli is not possible in real life because it fails the basic test of 'for every action there is a reaction'. It needs a proper tail rotor to counter the main rotor torque. Otherwise it will have to be a coaxial.
It’s based on a real helicopter that was in use frequently all it would take is a basic RUclips search of real dragonfly pilot and there’s an interview on a you channel of someone’s father in law who flew this basically exact chopper. OBVIOUSLY its toy with fantastical aspects. But it’s infuriating seeing some guy just say a few big words acting like he knows anything at all just because you said coaxial
This helicopter is a toy, and it doesn’t really fly. GI Joe has guys firing missiles off their backs and legs, I’m not gonna get into it this would work in real life, cause in real life the U.S. could send in a team of SEALs and end Cobra. But it’s a fun toy and that’s what matter.
@@aliteralchad7128 This toy is based on AH-1T SeaCobra and it has a tail rotor to counter main rotor torque. Otherwise the dragonfly design will have to be a coaxial rotor design. The Dragonfly design as it is would end up with the heli rotating out of control and killing the pilot in a crash.
@@Apunkwithtoys Sure but as someone who is familiar with helicopters (and an rc heli pilot) it just feels... weird and hilarious the way it's designed, and you know the pilot will be killed if this design is adapted in real life because it defies very simple basic physics.
By ripping the cardboard you mean pulling down the tabs that are meant to be pulled down? Its ok, those sit hidden in the box while I look at my Dragonfly 😂
My husband and son love this i was happy to get this for them

Yeah they have made some pretty bad ass one’s so far.
Lights off is rad

THANKS MY FELLOW COLLECTOR ANOTHER WELL DONE EPISODE
Thank you 💪🏼

Nice review Lawrence! I'll put mine together next week when I will have the time to enjoy it.
I just got mine today and waited to watch your review before I set mine up! Thank you the action figures look amazing
Thank you for watching.
Great review Lawrence! Really looking forward to getting mine this side of the pond.
You’ll love it. It’s large and I think the detail is great
Fun Drinking game....take a shot or a chug of your beer every time Lawrence says "alright" or makes a corny joke that he laughs at....😂
Dude….I’m so funny I crack myself up.
Picking mine up on Sunday. Absolutely can't wait
Just got mine today (Friday). Wow was thing worth the wait. Absolutely stunning.
It is, I think people can see why this is a dream project
love the wild bill here so much. love your vids as always man! ......and yeeeaah things massive !
Great video love the comparison and all the detail and thanks for taking the time to show everything off
I totally remember the Santa Cruz Slasher and the crappy foam deck. Great review!
😂
Your reviews never disappoint, Punk! Always personable and never boring.
Thank you, that means a lot to hear.
Great review! I remember the Santa Cruz skate decks. I'm glad you heated it up. Toy of the year for sure. 🎉🎉
It's super cool! Wish had I the space for it. Great review!!!
Space? I’m gonna be sitting in this when you come on Thursday with a Friend 😂

You would have to nitpick if you really wanted to complain about something on this.
Thanks for the great review! Can’t wait to open mine this weekend.
Great work! Love the gold shirt!

Skids are good?
Yep
On the day that mine arrives! In fact it arrived while watching.
Blowdryer helped the canopy open up easier?
I only think so because of the hard plastic, but it also didn’t hurt. Just be slow and cautious
No regrets buying this. I like it more than the HISS
Blast effects can be used on HMS also!

What would you rank 1, 2, and 3 between the Dragonfly, HISS Tank, and Vanguard?
Probably the Dragonfly 1 and the HISS 2, the Vanguard doesn’t really deserve to be on this as it is a distant 3.
I was not aware of Glenda but I like them honoring an international release. Her gear is also good.
Wild Bill is so good I almost don't want him to be in the Dragonfly, rather have him on a shelf for easy visibility. But wrong to not have him in it.

Thank you, I appreciate the support. Wild Bill is great, I have not got Glenda open, hoping to do it tonight so it can drop Friday morning.

The canopy hinges may benefit from a little light oil. I’ll try that with mine when the Fed-Ex guy is done with it.
I don’t think so, I believe it’s how they snap to stay up, you’ll see when you get it. I did hit it with a blow dryer first to be as safe as possible
Question, once you click snapped all the pieces together for the DragonFly, is it at all possible to remove those pieces so that you can put it back into box for storage? or for moving reason?
I believe so but I have not tried as I don’t plan to take it apart. Check out Gun Bunny Customs as he is doing one and tearing it apart, he may know.
@@Apunkwithtoys thank you so much!
I'd love the conquest x30 could pass on the Tomcat
Like the Skystriker way more, but a Conquest would fit Classified much better.
Can you take it apart once put together?
I think so but I’m not about to be that person to try. Gun Bunny Customs has already ripped one apart so he might have that in one of his newest videos.

This is a nice review , alright!
I received my Dragonfly yesterday. if you push and hold the light button for few seconds, all the lights come on. After about 10 minutes, it turns off.
Omg the size difference is crazy lol
I will most likely leave mine in the box
I mean it’s your toy, but I find no fun in looking at a box.
My plans are to move to another state in the next year or so. Really don’t need to break it while packing it up. I do want to open it though just like the Hiss Tank
THEY SHOULD BUT........ THE HISS .......AND ........DRAGON FLY....... OUT AGAIN TO GIVE THOSE WHO DID NOT GET IT A CHANCE TO GET THEM
No, they shouldn’t. This is what makes a Haslab a dream project. It’s something people backed with their money to make sure they get one.

I ripped them too and as the empty box is now in the basement... I feel completely okay.
