Wow! She is incredible, I've only just discovered her music in my 30s, in the last couple of years and she's one of my favourite artists. Her beautiful and honest lyrics on love and dating still feel so poignant to life today, I have her playing on repeat! Big fan from Australia

Was surprised to hear John Dolphins name. He was someone who had a very interesting life and he died mysteriously as well. The book about his life "Recorded In Hollywood: The John Dolphin Story" is a great read. Just watched Bettye Swann performing live in 2013 on a different RUclips video.

She's tops in my book.. I could be wrong, but I believe today I started Loving you again was written by Merle Haggard and Bonnie Owens. I've heard a recording of Bettye and Buck doing that song together and it's freaking killer..... a perfect blend of their individual styles in my opinion.

I'm glad she never went to Motown. Motown had talented female singers they never had any idea what to do with. Kim Weston, Brenda Holloway, Carolyn Crawford. Motown didn't develop their careers. Bettye Swann would have probably been lost in the mix at Motown.

I don't think Make Me Yours got to the 30 second mark before I became a fan! She was one hell of a singer and songwriter! John Dolphin was probably rolling in his grave when she left that company! Who else did Money Records have on their label not to promote her!? Capitol and Columbia Records were to labels R&B artist in the 60's should stay away from!!
