My family had a 1956 limo in its collection. Perfect original condition. My dad let me take it to college. Omg. Good times!!! And that car just purred down the highway. Incredible car.
I'll take these old cars over the junk they make today!
You right.classic not plastic.
I worked at that plant that builds those old beautiful cars Fleetwood B.O.C Detroit Michigan at fort st and spring wells from 1985 to 1987 when they closed the plant. But my Father and my Grandma and grandpa worked before me. So they built all these great classic cars
Halleluija !!
Cadillac’s of that era were so cool.
Cadillacs of the 50s are my favorite cars! These are just works of art! Esthetics, art, inspiration, eroticism in every line! The time when designers brought up a sense of beauty in people! And not modern managers with their focus groups...
These limousines are sp rare! What a fantastic car to restore!
Wow that's about my favorite front end on a caddy
Oh my God! Incredible condition considering.Born in 1956.Rode in cars like that as a kid till the mid 1960s.Looking from the outside just reminds me of just how huge these cars were. The unique design and craftsmanship. And of course the old car radio Somehow Papa seemed to always pick up a baseball game as he would drive around. But Mama was the car whisperer. There was no way the car dealership was going to get over on her.Learning about cars from top to bottom growing up in her Native Louisiana.A lot of memories just from a video showing an antique car.Lol.
In the mid 1970's I worked as a real estate appraiser for a savings & loan's Beverly Hills office. I would occasionally drive by the back end of the very swanky Beverly Hills Hotel where they had one of these parked in an open garage. You could tell it had been sitting for a long time and was past its usefulness to the hotel. It looked to be in really good shape with just a layer of dust to be removed before you could drive off in it. I would have like to have bought the car but didn't have the money or place to keep it at that time. I still think of that car and this video certainly brings back the memories. Thanks!
One solid vehicle

👍
Love to see the restoration of this!
Whoa 😮 beautiful 🤩 from England 🏴
This is so awesome to find that car in a barn!
It's a garage, not a barn, really.
A retired country and western singer, regionally a popular act with her band, had something very similar to this but in a fading white over green paint scheme. It had an exhaust leak (possibly up by the manifold) and as it glided around the corner topping the hill on Highland Ave. it made a distinctive 'Phut, Phut, Phut' sound. We kids could hear it coming up the hill. The lady became a customer on my paper route and she was a pen pal of actress Barbara Stanwyck. On occasion the lady asked me to drop a letter for her at the little (tiny) post office in town.
Who?
Golden memory's of my childhood.💘 👌
Such a beautiful car!
So cool love the license plate number and the general sticker. I wish there was a limo museum. This limo was made the year my mom was born. Very cool barn find.
I live in nova scotia good to see this find still here
Beatiful video, here BRAZIL we loves cadillac
The most mafia looking car in the world and I love it.
So this was some Dalhousie University student's daily driver back in the summer of '68. Cool!
He was actually a faculty member! :) Chemistry Dept.
what a gem
Real score
That's an awesome car
What a lovely old gent.
Would love to see it with just wash on the outside and cleaning the inside. I bet it'd look spectacular!
What a dream find.
I was thinking the same. Hoped they’d give it a rinse, little soap and water ( gently of course), quick tidy up and clean out the interior and show us ( not full restoration just clean up the car). It would looked pretty nice. I wonder if there will be a follow up video with this car.
Awesome classic and in great condition for restoration... 😮
I hope it gets left the way it is. Buff the paint and repaint the damaged door and fender. Looks great. What a beautiful car
Классный аппарат, интересно,что будет дальше, хотелось бы увидеть после восстановления.
Very nice hope you keep it all original stock😎👉🍻
Now THIS is a barn find
Great video mate.
Appreciate it muchly.
If you ever make it to Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, I'll let you buy me a beer mate!
😍😍😍😍...oh wow, this is better than 6 👍👍👍
Nice find boys🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
I love that dinosaure !
Amazing Condition Inside Better Than I Thought
Great find and the 75 series Imperial limo. Rear seat radio control, partition glass but no AC. No park on the granny but a parking brake handle lower left under instrument panel.
A most rare vehicle
What a great find someone is very lucky

Wooow, amazing car!
I would love to own that and drive it to car shows
Almost Perfect, little pain, wash and will be Rare Classic Bomb🇺🇲👌💰💪❤️
Superbe merci de nous faire profiter
Beautiful ❤
To transport his family of nine kids my Dad would buy Cadillac limos, second hand after the funeral parlors traded them off. We had a 54 and 57, both would drive 80 90 mph w ac n loaded, effortlessly! The 57 w 390ci n 390 rear axle ratio would burn 15ft of rubber and reach 115 mph in about 3/4 of a mile !
Actually I meant 3/8ths of a mile to reach 115mph, point is the caddy were luxury hot rods, no wonder the bootleggers would drop those Caddy motos I'm those lightweight Fords, Chevys n Fords !
Very cool find,
I was a kid when that car was new. We had good ol leaded gasoline back then. Ahh, the smell of the exhaust on a winter morning, no emissions at all on the cars. A very unique smell.
Ah the brain cells we lost! So much lead!
@@DanaTheInsane But it was worth it. 🙄😁
Nice buy
Beautiful car but the barn don’t look to old lol
I noticed the same... Ahahaha!!
I can just picture Michael Corleone riding in that.
Amazing how someone would've spent that kind of money on this beautiful car, then cheapened out and not ordered air conditioning...
Masterpiece,..
I remember them pretty well. They were surprisingly pleasant to drive and very comfortable. I think there was some weakness in the '55 model...? transmission. I never drove a '55 but did drive a '54 and a '58.
Nice Clean Car 🙂 awesome 👍
That is in reasonably good condition! Some minor interior/exterior work plus a real good wash and wax. Getting the engine started-not impossible unless it’s seized-but with ALOT of patience, carburetor cleaner and WD40, it will start. Each one of the cylinders will have to be sprayed with WD40 to protect the rings. Let it burn out then drain the oil and add fresh oil.
Needs/needed paint!
@@wilsixone really? It didn’t look that bad.
@@grazz7865 Look at minute mark 1:40. def needs paint. 😁
@@jamesp13152 oh yeah. More than likely. Anything that sits , even covered is going to suffer rust and corrosion. The best way to keep classic cars is a climate controlled warehouse
@@grazz7865 Beautiful car. Love to see it restored.
Обожаю такие тачки !
Best limo for sure
🤤😯😯😯 ❤ Best Cadillac! 75 s
In the movie karate kid 2, Sato owned one of these. Really nice car.
MAGNÍFICO! Sou apaixonado por carros antigos. Trabalho com restauração de KOMBIS CORUJINHAS . Aqui no Brasil temos muitos carros clássicos para restaurar/vender.
he is beautiful
You know there's room in the glove box for my victrolla & my Hank Williams records.
Muito lindo, adoro Cadillacs
WOW!
Somebody 1955 was important
A love long car 🚗 part 2 plisse
This was America Great.
Крутая тачка 👍
I am always very hesitant about cars like this ,I worry they where stolen and then just stored,I know alot of stolen vins databases go back to the 70s et
Lindo! Que conforto
After it's running and a certain amount of preparation done I wonder if it be possible to prepare and paint those areas lacking paint then rub the pain out with rubbing compound going to be a fairly close that's a beautiful car it's the gas cap under the tail light in this model I can find that out I knew it wasn't the 58
The gas filler in the 58s was also under (behind) the left tail light... The light housing swung upwards.
You better watch out! I think you woke up Christine!
Good condition 🙂.
Carro para colecionador. Um Cadillac muito bonito, quase conservado.
Black limo without A/C?
Awesome barn baby.......was Jimmy Hoffa in the trunk ?
Next videos will be the cars on the other sides?
шикарный пипелац!
will it run?
What's with the 49 next to it?
♥️♥️♥️♥️
Is that paint or filler peeling off the Drivers side front door and fender. It's too thick for paint. Still a very nice car.
*WHEN CADILLACS WERE CADILLACS!*
1955🤧🤧😓😓🙏🙏👍👍❤❤
That doesn't look bad for all those yrs
For gods sake, give that beautiful car a nice wash job. That paint still looks like it will still shine.
Así era el carro presidencial de Venezuela; desde Marcos Pérez Jiménez; hasta Rómulo Betancourt; saludos.
Isso é qui é 1 carro qui sortudo
No white walls ?
Красивый
What causes the paint on the driver's side to delaminate?
Moisture sneaks under the paint and it eventually pops off...
Bondo.
The 1955 Cadillac and the 1949 hydramatics lock in reverse. There is no park.
Godfather scene where Barzinni is assasinated.....
Maybe you should have put something between the bumper and the chains
👍
Thats a limo you would have seen Elvis or Ray Charles BB King sitting in the back of rolling like a true KING 👑👍😉😉😁😁😁😁 a Black Cadillac limo
So what is the backstory?
Correct me if I’m wrong but that’s the exact model car and year that jimmy Hoffa disappeared in……
ГДЕ МОЖНО ПОСМОТРЕТЬ НА ТАЧКУ ПОСЛЕ РЕСТАВРАЦИИ ?
Amazing that rodents didn't chew up the seats or wiring. Dig the Dagmars on the front bumper.
Why would one use chains and potentially damage things? I would have used a tow strap.
New brake car wash back on the road
Classic not plastic
