No, you're paying a renters fee to be able to watch what the site has available in its library. If you always want access to a movie or show. Get a physical copy. Or purchase a download and keep it on a flash drive or hard drive. Unfortunately, we can't do this with everything because how media has turned to mainly streaming shows.
This is why ive been hesitant for years to jump on the digital band wagon because with digital they can pull it from the source at any given time physical you will have it no matter what

@@4203105 it's not just 10 hard drives. It's a server that is on 24/7, it's the space for that server, it's maintenance for that server, ... It doesn't cost billions but companies are not charities. If the server is not making them enough money they won't keep it up. They make the most money if a few media is consumed by a mass of people. The more media they have, the more dispersed is the public attention, lead to more infrastructure and less profit. They need just enough old stuff to keep you subscribed and new stuff to bring new people in. It's capitalism. Since there is no law for preservation of digital media they have no obligation to keep it up or give it up. An unlike physical media, no organization can step up.

I paid for 4 Disney Bluerays and I will buy more and this is why. This and because one day Disney might make 3D animated replacements for their movies and remove the “original” versions from all digital stores and from all peoples accounts and they might change laws to make it so we can’t buy nor sell the classic Disney Bluerays. So any film that they replace we can’t buy the BlueRay of and we can’t sell it. That would suck so much. I could see Disney doing that though lol.
We canceled every streaming service and just do DVDs now and it is THE BEST decision we ever made! Our kids are so much better at listening when screen time is over.
Oh Great Disney is doing the thing they said they would never do: becoming HBO Max. They recently removed The Spectacular Spider-Man for literally no reason and The X-Men Movies are constantly getting removed and then re-added. honestly have no idea why they do this.
Maybe this is just correcting to account for the problem that the existence of Disney+ itself has presented: people might not be going to see their movies in theaters when they can just wait a few months for it to appear on Disney+. This could be a lesson learned, the problem is that, with this strategy, they'd be cutting the content at the wrong time, when the material is no longer in theaters.
Man. I wanted to get around to the Willow show and the Jeff Goldblum show. The worst part about this is that Disney+ doesn't even really put their stuff on DVD. People say that this is "a Netflix move", but at least Netflix puts most of their crap on DVD. Not Disney. I never stopped using DVD (and only stream what I can mooch).
