This whole thing needs to be thoroughly investigated -- if not by journalists, then at least by all the citizens of Maui.
you failed to mention that the sirens / alarms were also not turned on. It was the cabal, it is known now. They used fire drones. Now they're going to steal land properties from the people of Lahaina.

Yes, terribly traumatizing. It was weeks before I could even think about it, and much longer before I could sing a song I performed on dinner cruises out of Lahaina harbor several times a week without choking up and crying. It's hard even now to share this. AND hundreds still need us to contribute to relief efforts. So many people and families reduced to the clothes they were wearing and ASHES, everything gone, all you family photos, pets, heirlooms.. GONE! Ashes. Those who made homes and livings in Lahaina deeply mourn our loss, even still. So many tourists who have visited this old favorite of ancient Hawaiian royalty cannot imagine how loved it was. It will live again, but so much can NEVER be replaced

That "flamethrower"effect is known in firefighting terminology as " ROLLING", when fire is driven by high wind and has plenty of dry fuel it can literally jump forward as fast as the wind is carrying it consuming everything burnable in it's path.

@@pa5666 It is terrifying, I worked as a firefighter for the (CDF) California Division Of Forestry in Southern Cal. and worked on several huge wildfires as well as hundreds of structure fires and people think it some glorious, exciting job, well, I can tell you from first hand experience it's not, it's scary dangerous and physically and mentally demanding, you live in constant fear that you or those you work with will die on the next fire, it is that bad !

I have fought fire and know that when it gets big enough it makes its own weather and the wind created will send sparks for miles then it makes the rules

Why didn't they drive their boats away from the fire?
They needed an emergency AM and FM stations. They don't need much power. The transmitters towers can go anywhere they don't interfere with other radio stations and don't need a generator. They don't cost that much and only need 3 watts. Its a smaller community

So tragic. They said they only had a siren for tsunamis. If only they had colored lights to go along with the siren to distinguish between tsunamis and fire. Lights could be placed on streetlamps or poles for power lines. Blue lights to indicate a tsunami and red for fire. Maybe they can set up something like that now to be better prepared. Maybe other islands should have that as well.
Problem with that explanation is that the sirens they have are designed to have different signals for a variety of disasters,not just tsunamis. Considering the location ,tsunamis aren’t the only natural disaster that can occur there. So they should have set them up for a variety of different scenarios. And I still can’t believe one of the things that the emergency response guy said was they didn’t use them to alert the people inside their homes to the presence of the fire because people couldn’t hear them . Yeah,, so if they were inside their homes when a tsunami was coming what good would the sirens do if they supposedly couldn’t hear them inside their homes?

Maybe you should follow John Pelletier to his next assignment. Or watch the hundreds of videos of the fire spreading aggressively north as the wind blew southwest at 60mph and ask how. Directed Energy weapons (not lasers) are old news and have been part of Air Force inventory for a long time. Hickam AFB is only miles away. But I’m open to how you’d like to explain the fire spreading northward against the wind.

People have been asking why the fire people had no water for the fires but what we all need to try to understand is when you have a fire hurricane moving a mile a minute the heat can instantly boil and evaporate and explode any large tank of water. Clearly mistakes were made but this is a new threat we are not yet prepared for so the blame game must factor in the new.
The power was out in the whole west side & power is needed for the wells to pump water into the water tanks. All they had was what was left in the water system.

Yep. A lighter and a gas can will also easily start a brush fire that ignored can easily grow out of control. 4 small fires were started around the island on Aug 4th. Not sure were all of those winds came from on Aug 8th but the hurricane Dora 500 miles away was not likely the cause. I lived in coastal Fl, 500 miles is the differnce between Miami FL and Savannah GA...as many CAT 4s as I've held my breath for as they skirt past the coast, I promise you once the whole system passes your area so do the heavy winds. I mean by the time something that was in the Miami area reaches Daytona most of the after effects are gone, let alone Savannah.

All these preventable human and animal deaths have me so angry with and saddened by Maui County's and Hawaii state's elected officials who prioritized climate action instead of ensuring Maui County had adequate fire prevention and firefighting capabilities. Putting their climate loon/climate alarmist ideology above their constituents' safety and wellbeing is inexcusable, not to mention deadly and heartbreaking. Those climate cultists all have blood, lots of blood, on their hands.

The unusual and unexpected facets of the fire are explainable. Christians have known for quite some time that there would be supernatural wars taking place in public places. All of the unexpected phenomenon here can be reconciled by recognizing the power of good and evil in the supernatural.

Religion has always been used in the way you described. When people didn't know how lightning works or mountains formed, they would attribute it to the supernatural. You're essentially advocating for people to just make up the details with whatever they believe. I think there's much more value and humility in accepting that you can't always know every details.

So, my training was always to be a skeptic and open minded. In the last few years though I have experienced the supernatural first hand in many ways and based on that firmly believe the 95% of the brain power we have not tapped (but hopefully someday will) bridges over the toe supernatural. A wake up call indeed - but better explained by climate change drying the vegetation into tinder, and then high winds from a nearby hurricane knocking down electricity lines providing the sparks. This idea at least points out most likely real causes - which can then be addressed. The religious viewpoint doesn't - making likely that true root causes are not addressed, thus making future conflagrations more likely...
