    Great to see the Kipper Queens in colour at the start, my nana worked there also back in 1910 & 20's, I've got a black & white photo of her with several other Queens posing for the camera. Aye, Sunny Shields, amazing town with fantastic people.

    I just found out that my great great great aunt was the land lady of a pub calle the ship inn for 30 years, her brother was drowned in the tyne at the fish quay and was never found and apparently she was possibly the last land lady of the Newcastle Arms that can be seen in this video ☺️ i find it so fascinating to think that some of these people were possibly once my ancestors, or at least knew them 🥰

      I find the images fascinating for similar reasons................all those lives were precious and you wonder how their lives worked out, good bad , pressures.
