i love how 6-inch ground clearance is considered off-road lol you're getting stuck in the mud and snow with these suv's. the rims are getting dented in the city, and you're paying way to much money for these "pleasures" lol if you dont live on the strip in LV, id spend my money on a real pick up truck. Yet, i have common sense, and all the money in the world can't purchase one thought of it :D
Great review, I've been deciding between multiple vehicles, have decided on the SQ5 Prestige. This video shows a lot of functionality that I didn't know about and now I'm looking forward to.
Great review! Thank you. I just picked up my new 2020 SQ5 from the dealer and in 30 minutes you taught me more about the car than the dealer did in an hour and a half (but we had other stuff to take care of). Love the car. This is my second SQ5 after the 2015 model, and Audi has taken it up several notches. Looking forward to years of fun. Thanks for starting me off right.
@@PrimeAutotainment Maybe try a different dealership? You honestly did a great job man. Not kidding. Showed me stuff others in the 500k+ subscribers did not. I'm picking up this exact car Monday with a little more features than your tester (71k sticker). 28k miles for 53k CPO. I was extremely happy with it on the test drive.
Audi Q5, and SQ5 as well, always achieve an excellent balance between comfort and serenity on one end, and sportiness and precision on the other. But they prioritize comfort and serenity. You'd have to push it to make the sporty side come out - as you did in the video. Once you do that, you have very little body roll, precise and responsive steering, and still comfortable ride even in sport mode.
In the market for a small luxury suv, have been doing lots of research, namely the SQ5, BMW M40 and the Mercedes GLC 43, all similar vehicles. While each has it's own good points and not so good points over each other, in my estimation the Audi offers the best car in terms of equipment offered, such as the B & O sound system, etc.
I love my SQ5. Got it with the Navarro Blue on Black and the 20 inch 5 spoke. Like those better than the 21. Flat bottom steering wheel is a must. Super classic look. White with red interior is also a nice look too. Would love to see a review of the Maccan S. Can’t stop eying that one too. But feel the SQ5 is a better overall value even if I like the exterior of the Porsche a bit better.
Wow 22:55 that engine sounds nice. Love the quilted seats and 4-way adjustable headrests are 👍🏼👍🏼. I really like the wheel design on this one. Audi has some nice wheel designs!
I bought this last year in florette silver. I'm already looking for my next car. The tires started going bad at about 6000 miles. (Just shimmying at 50 miles/hr and above - very annoying). I finally gave in and bought new pirellis at around 9500 miles. They are not cheap. Just something to think about if you have the 21 inch with performance/summer tires. It does drive nicely, but I agree, there is a little bit of lag. IF you decide to buy this, don't forget to consider the cost of the tires long-term, or heck, even short-term. lol. Thanks for your review. I keep having to remind myself it is a solid SUV.
Amanda Isbell dang I’m sorry to hear about the tires. That’s a bummer they wore out so fast but you got yourself some nice ones. What other vehicles are you considering for your next one? Thanks for watching!
I’m just wondering if they were bad from the start, maybe sitting on the lot too long. Plus I don’t drive very much. But I’m no tire expert! It’ll be a year or so before the next one. I’m waiting on new fuel efficient luxury suvs like the new BMW X5 xdrive 45e.
Drove one yesterday. Very nice ride! My three complaints: 1) No heated flat bottom steering wheel. 2) No cooled diamond stitch seats...though the cooled seats you can get look decent. 3) Fake exhaust tips. Doesn’t give the great sounding exhaust any justice! I drove one without the S Sport package, but it handled pretty well and was fun to drive. This a great ride!
Thank you for the review. Been an Audi fan for sometime now, looking to make this my next purchase. Not sure what’s the point in having fake exhaust with the amount of money that is gone into purchasing this car. Not sure what’s up with some of these European designers but the position of that cockpit and some of those knobs is really beyooounndd me. Smh I hope by the type I have my chips together they clean some of this up.
CONGRATS NOLAN for picking up AUDI and the chance to do your FIRST AUDI review. I never had the opportunity to drive an Audi but they really Speak my language. Especially the A7. You mentioned you grew up in the north. How did you adjust to the heat of Texas? What age did you move their? I think that “Fake Exhaust” is not at all a plus on the vehicle like you said with that sporty pretension. Have a Great Weekend Nolan :))
Thank you sir! Hopefully they let me do more lol. I grew up in South Dakota and moved here when I was 23. The heat actually doesn’t bother me, but the summers get pretty long sometimes. We get a lot more rain than I thought they would but it’s all good. I moved here to get away from long winters lol. Have a great weekend too!
YESSSS, the luxury line rollout 🤗 I’m loving your complete refresh Nolan 💯. I like Audi vehicles. They are filled with the latest technology. I truly like the seating and the cockpit screen. I’m waiting for your most top five picks. When you stepped on the gas I couldn’t stop r🤣lling. Outstanding review Nolan!!!! Happy Fathers Day!!!
MoNo K for sure, this one was full of good stuff! Thanks man, I’ve got one kiddo on the way so I appreciate it! Happy Father’s Day to you too if you’ve got any!
I have an sq5 and I can’t work out what the small led light is next to the passenger heated seat button ( I’m not referring to the 3 bar led for the seat heat output) any ideas?
I had a 2018 S5 and loved the steering. I test drive the Q5 and steering is soft! Which I hate!! I hope this SQ5 steering is like the S5! Anyone knows?
Thats’s a sexy SUV. Love the look of this thing. That color is beautiful too. I saw a cement gray one in the showroom with a red interior. 😍 Audi has such clean, and well built interiors too. The only real shame for me is the stupid exhaust. Why Audi? Why?
Nolan😀 This is a dope review as always. This is a beautiful car,but fake exhaust on SQ5 is really weird. Regular Q5 is okay to have fake exhaust, even tho I’m not okay with it too,but SQ5 is really unacceptable. I like how you go to every little details in the car, a lot of so call “Car reviewers out there don’t do that”. Great job,and keep it up Nolan.
lin yan 2018 😞. I was surprised they even had this...didn’t realize it until I looked at the sticker lol. It must be a 2019 vs 2018 model thing. Looking back at my notes it should have the power wheel with prestige package if it’s a 2019. Is yours 2019?
Rob dang I’m sorry I can’t remember and didn’t write anything down. But, if I just drove normally without getting on it much, it could do really well...especially in the highway if I remember right
Nice. Well done! I've read reviews of the SQ5 and am considering it as my next vehicle. I just rented a Q5 from Silvercar and was about to dive into the owners manual to discover how everything works, when I ran across your video. It's a great introduction to the car, and you make good points--especially about the lack of a touch screen and the annoying track pad. If they got rid of that thing they could move the volume control out of the passenger's way! Also those fake exhaust pipes suck. One suggestion would be to highlight the differences amongst the Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige options. These make a big difference, and you were reviewing the Prestige, so you almost always lose features as you move down the line up and price curve. Then, most of us have to ask if the features are worth the cost. Finally, although probably not appropriate for a review like this--I'm always curious about the differences in model years. I suspect, for example, that you can get a two-year old model of the vehicle you tested, with less than 15K miles, for about 40% less. Another trade off. Many thanks, that was fun.
Fake exhaust is odd Funny side note-Peeps keep tailgating me so I was gonna put a “Student Driver” sign in my back window but my wife said I can’t. :(.
Thanks for watching! This SQ5 is definitely a fun little crossover! Hope you enjoyed the video.

Prime Autotainment - I like the technology the most 👨💻. I don’t like for the CD player to be in the dash.
Just bought the Black Edition Q5...pick it up Next week, traded in my A4..can’t wait.
16:19 the volume knob is there for the passenger. The driver can use the one on the steering wheel.

Thank you! That’s awesome, it’s a sweet vehicle and very fun to drive yet practical for daily life. Enjoy! 😁👍

Audi if you're listening. This guy deserves more cars!
Thank you very much! They’re stingy with them. Hopefully I can get more soon!

Awesome review, very thorough and detailed. I am eyeing a 2018 SQ5 at my dealership, I will take it out for a test drive this week!

very good review. glad you mentioned about the sunroof. great job capturing sound. thank you

great review! love to see a review of the s7
Good review. This review goes through all the details on the infotainment system. I also wish the infotainment system was touch screen
Great review! I just went out and bought one to add to the already Q7 we have in the garage.
Brilliant car!👍

How can I change the starbutton function
good driving
I also think 5,1s is "respectable" for a 2 tons baby...
mine SQ5 Prestige came with power adjusting steering wheels why didn’t this one have it?
lin yan not sure. Must just not have elected for that option or package on this model?
Prime Autotainment what year is this?
lin yan 2018 😞. I was surprised they even had this...didn’t realize it until I looked at the sticker lol. It must be a 2019 vs 2018 model thing. Looking back at my notes it should have the power wheel with prestige package if it’s a 2019. Is yours 2019?
Prime Autotainment yea that’s the reason why. Great review keep up with the great work.
Prime Autotainment yea mine is 2019. Love this suv
Love Audi's, hope you get to test an e-tron. The option list on German cars is extensive and expensive.
No doubt, that would be great! Hopefully soon. Thanks for watching 👍
Bought the demonstrator ..got £12k off....
Just out of interest what was your average real time mpg?
Rob dang I’m sorry I can’t remember and didn’t write anything down. But, if I just drove normally without getting on it much, it could do really well...especially in the highway if I remember right
I have a 2018 SQ5. Since it was purchased in Switzerland, it costed me around 150,000 CHF (155,000 USD). You can't even buy an A1 for 68k 😭

Honestly apart from the key fob and the updated interior, I prefer my 2016 sq5 black edition in white.
Why we don’t have a real exhaust where is the real exhaust
Fake exhaust is odd
Funny side note-Peeps keep tailgating me so I was gonna put a “Student Driver” sign in my back window but my wife said I can’t. :(.
Nice lol that’s a good idea though! Maybe get a baby on board sign...or woman driver 🤪
@@PrimeAutotainment how about a MAGA sign ?
Great review and nice car. But fake exhausts, ridiculous :-)
Thanks Andrew! Yeah it threw me off lol but I enjoyed the vehicle overall!
Audi with fake exhaust just blows me when your almost spending 70k 😤😤😤
No kidding lol, blows my mind
Who... cares? Are you that interested in seeing the exhaust blow out the rear of the car instead of down? What is the difference!?!!?
no REMOTE START available AT ALL on Audi... so stupid! You need to go 3rd party and LOSE a key fob.... STUPID!
