Had this car for four years and love it. It’s great to hear you put into words my experience with this car. My only gripe is the limited storage up front. Just had new parts put in and it drives like it’s new again!
Great cars - just sold mine after 40K+ trouble free miles. One of the best blends of luxury/sport all around that I owned. You can't go wrong - good luck and thanks for watching ! :)
Was watching your video and just wanted to throw something out there if you haven’t considered it. Get yourself a peddle commander. I have a MK7 VW sportwagen 4motion with an IS38 (golf r turbo) ECU/TCU tune…. $5k worth of upgrades….. the one single thing and ONLY thing that got rid of that dead spot from a start was the peddle commander. Best $200 I spent out of all my mods. Doesn’t throw codes, won’t void your warranty, I installed it myself in about 30min with almost no tools….. COMPLETELY solves the dead spot in the pedal from a stop….. my wagon is almost twitchy now!!!
Thanks for the feedback - I have heard of it! Unfortunately this SQ5 is long gone already but would of been a worthy mod! You are correct, it was a pretty bad dead spot. Appreciate you stopping by today :)
Great point, never fully considered that pro! I don't mind this look at all, and IMO still much better than the updated SQ with the 'fake' exhaust tips on the back of the car.
One of best all rounders I have owned out of 24 cars. The only one to top it IMHO was my '13 S4 w/the stronic transmission + supercharged engine. Thanks for stopping by!
Great question - the previous owner had these done on here, I believe they are at 35%, as it was lighter then I'm used to. I typically do 20% if I'm tinting myself, great balance between sunlight coming in / nighttime visibility. Thanks for stopping by.
You are absolutely correct! This body style sq5 came out in 2018! And great catch. I have spent a decade and a half living in (Ohio) prior to coming out to the Arizona Desert !
Factory wheels with the black optic package (20" sizing)! Looks / fits the car well IMHO and one of my favorite color/wheel combos on the SQ5. Thanks for stopping by :)
Quantum Gray - beautiful all around (non metallic and zero flake). Really gives this SUV the sportiness it needs, and IMO the best color to fit this car!! Thanks for stopping by our channel :)
I haven't heard great exhaust notes on almost any 4 and 6 cylinder cars I've driven. Now V8, V10 and V12 is a different story. I feel like there is all sorts of gimmicks and trickery manufacturers now use to make a 6 cylinder sound more 'full' and have a 'deeper' tone. BMW doesn't do a bad job with the inline 6s, but still it's nothing compared to the V8s. Thanks for stopping by!
@@jeffrey-f Even the 6 cyl TURBO porsches dont impress me. My boxster spyder was glorious without the turbo. I do like the 4.0 V8s that is used across porsche/bentley/lambo/audi that I currently have in my RS6. Although not the BEST V8 sound, with a few mods it's an absolute monster. Thanks for stopping by!
A while back yes. Have went through 3 cars after her already :) To this day this remains one of my favorite DDs for all it can do, great build quality, fun to drive cars. Good luck if you are on the hunt - I really enjoyed time with mine !!
Thanks for the feedback! It's not for everyone! Those were actually my favorite parts of my SQ5, and got so many compliments on the combination!! Thanks for stopping by!!

im looking at this exact car right now. Thanks for the long term review!

We got a 2020 and absolutely love it too. The only thing we will be trading it in for in the future is a Q7 when are children get a little bit bigger
Yes it's been a phenomenal car. Thinking of going same route !! Thanks for watching :)

I run a bike rack on the back of mine, so the exhaust pointing down and not back, works for me.
Great point, never fully considered that pro! I don't mind this look at all, and IMO still much better than the updated SQ with the 'fake' exhaust tips on the back of the car.
I have a Saris rack on mine as well, never really thought about the exhaust not blowing directly on my bikes. Good point.
Sport package (red calipers, air ride, sport diff) has nothing to do with trim level and is optional for Premium Plus and Prestige.
Correct, not sure if I didn't make that clear. Thanks for pointing that out.
B&O is not standard on Premium Plus but it is an option. Standard on Prestige.
Thanks for the clarification!
21 SQ5 owner here, to answer the question.. yes. It is perfect

What percent of front windows are tinted?

Actually, the exhaust-less look, started in 2018(B9) not 2019. Are you originally from the East Coast?
You are absolutely correct! This body style sq5 came out in 2018!
And great catch. I have spent a decade and a half living in (Ohio) prior to coming out to the Arizona Desert !
are the rims factory or did you buy them?

Great review. Thanks man!
Thanks for the comment and glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching !! :)
Okay he said he always get compliments on the color but not even name what kind of color was. Could have gave that detail
@@jewelluscious 99% sure it is Audi's Quantum Gray
Did you sell the vehicle or is it for sale? Really like the color.
Funny you mention that - car will be for sale in the next 1-2 Weeks. Please contact our email thedesertroadofficial@gmail.com
Thanks for watching !!
What is the color 🤔🤔🤔
Quantum Gray - beautiful all around (non metallic and zero flake). Really gives this SUV the sportiness it needs, and IMO the best color to fit this car!! Thanks for stopping by our channel :)
@@thedesertroad I love all the new gray color cars. Thanks 🙂
@@jewelluscious Yep - so many awesome shades now. Just picked up a Dravit Grey M50i X5 and that color is a stunner as well, check it out!!
You lost me at “it’s hard to make a 6 cylinder sound good”
I haven't heard great exhaust notes on almost any 4 and 6 cylinder cars I've driven. Now V8, V10 and V12 is a different story. @@thedesertroadreally… have you never heard a Porsche. Most V8s are generic sounding

Phenomenal!
Hey thanks for watching and enjoying our review!
Cute hat!!
Thanks for watching and hoping you are enjoying all the content :)
2018 started the fake exhaust, not 2019
Yep, with the introduction of this new platform. Thanks for stopping by!
If it leaks oil like most Audis then nope!
Never had that issue in my years of ownership (on this or any other modern Audi I owned)! Thanks for stopping by!
I heard that often but on old models
@@juanar9231 Yep my '01 A4 was a disaster! All modern Audis I owned have been bulletproof!

The color is fugly & I don't like the wheels, otherwise it is a nice vehicle.
Thanks for the feedback! It's not for everyone!

The color is nice but wheels r ugly
I love that color! Mine is the dark metallic grey black optic package.
