basically the dagger duchess is way better than the other two until a certain threshold is passed and then the other tower troops become exceedingly better than her. she’s good one on one with mini tanks and below but send a push her way and it’s game over. a chart from royale api shows this really well
In here, she is good, but in an actual match, she would suck so much, basically she would fail to do anything and even the cannoneer/the one with a HP penalty would be useful and even him he is not that good and the princess is much better still as she has the best stats for the game and because she fits everything like speed per hit, okay damage and good HP, basically there's no point to use any new tower troop because the princess is literally the better option, and with how easy to deal with the cannoneer/basically a free win for me, the duchess would be the same, an easy win and they return back to using the princess tower, well, unless they make a Xbox tower, that would much better
No her extra hp, and cards that work well with her will offset any disadvantage she has. She is currently broken as a card. Buildings, rage, freeze will make her do much more damage and help her reload faster.
@@abdullahsaeed6725 nope, freeze and stun would stop her from reloading and you can just bait her attacks to get wasted and then you send a easy goblin barrel, plus a 200hp isn't much to brag about also

i only played is challenges where everyone is at level 11, and got bored so i uninstall
crazy to see her winning most interacions, unfortunately i think that she can be easily countered by wasting her daggers, she's really good against those annoying people which spam dart gob, flying machine at the bridge, and for the ones that she didint really win against, i feel like a simple ice spirit / log + the duchess couldve just mopped it, taking 0 damage, i think it's a good tower troop and balanced, supercell actually cooked with this one
She’s weak to spam decks beyond a threshold. I do think overall though she wins most chip damage interactions and slot a building to held and some splash spells/troops and she actually helps tame pushes at least initially for everything else to clean up. But play one wrong move and you’ll be punished.
The Dagger Duchess surprisingly isn't broken as it appeared in the first glance. But if her ammo was infinite (like Princess and Cannoneer), it would definitely have been broken. But since her ammo does run out, it seems quite balanced.
Obviously since it would just be a super op princess?
Almost as if that's her only drawback!

Dagger duchess is really good against any kind of swarm like goblins or skellies, but she really struggles against very tanky cards like pekka or giant because she runs out of ammo very fast. So it seems like a pretty balanced card.

Idk if she’s good against swarms, all it takes is some 2 elixir goblins and her daggers run out, not much she can do when her daggers run out.
I feel like decks that constantly provide pressure like bridge spam would overwhelm her. Also would be weak against beat down
Or really any offensive pressure or elixir advantage...
it feels like I would be better in beatdown decks since your opponent won't be able to punish you with cheap combos or just pressuring your opposite lane while you are doing a big push
the thing is it takes a whole 20s of firing before dagger dutches starts to deal less damage than Princess tower
Also a lot of cards will die in 2 hits from dagger dutches like goblins, spirits minions etc so it isnt even bad without any ammo Against most swarms expect skeletons

I will stick with the princess
decks to use with the duchess. strong attacks where you can knock down a tower, I don't recommend miner contorl type decks where you do damage slowly and end up reaching overtime.
Way to attack if you face a duchess, try to extend the game as much as you can, in the X2 of elixir the duchess begins to lose a lot of potential because you will not let her carry her 8 daggers, defend until you manage to put together a large push or several little ones
I was really hoping that battle healer would take the dagger duchess tower, it would’ve finally had some use as a counter but sadly the reduced dps is still enough, still a good rush if they’re out of ammo

I feel like dagger duchess WILL be better then the two because of this game play style, she helps you burst down almost anything so when you defend the push she’s able to reload and do it again.

Looks like she'll work really well in decks that can make huge pushes, since she's weak against lots of HP, but that'll be an overcommitment against large pushes

It was clean as hell
The strongest tower troop would go for the classic tower princess, as she’s got no downsides besides dealing very moderate damage, can defend anything, just place a proper defense before her and it’s alright
Dagger duchess on other side, it’s extremely quick on the first 8 charges, becomes a nerfed cannonner right after, struggles with swarms and worse with heavy if left undefended
Cannonner can stop tanks a lot more efficiently, but struggles with swarms

They all have the same distance to hit the target
Overall, the duchess is op at start and is trash near after the start. The princess does minimal damage but has a decent firerate and the cannoneer does op damage but has a long charge time
the thing is it takes a whole 20s of firing before dagger dutches starts to deal less damage than Princess tower Against tanks
Also a lot of cards will die in 2 hits from dagger dutches like goblins, spirits minions etc so it isnt even bad without any ammo Against most swarms expect skeletons
The Dutchess is stronger than the Princess at sustained fire up untill 20 seconds. Little to no pushes are going to last that long. But that does assume that they let her completely reload instead of bait out ammo w/ cheap swarms then a tank.
I understand that Dagger Dutchess is better in most cases as its legendary
But GOD the difference is insane 💀

I can see myself using her in my lavaloon deck. Usually you ignore opposing troops to gain a lalo push opposite lane but she can deal with most of the win conditions pretty easily and isn’t susceptible to swarms like the cannoneer

Moral of this video: The moment you get this broken tower troop in clash royale, instantly use it and make it max level

I love how the devs kept the balance so they can be useful in different situations
The only reason I see to use the princess tower now is for her consistency against swarms and is still good against beatdown and won’t get swarmed by bats otherwise you’re better off using the other two and everyone brings spells for that tbh
The only thing i extremely hate about tower troops is how some have more or less hp than others,that shouldnt be the case
So, my diagnostic is
Against spirits the new ones
Goblin barrel: Dagger
Fast and fragile people like lumberjack: dagger
Cemetery: dagger(I thought initially that she would deal with it like it was nothing
Princes: still dagger because she has so much more HP than cannoneer
Against spawners(except for barbarian): dagger
Tanks above knight: cannoneer(except for the princes)
Swarms: dagger
the problem is in this it seems very good but its only good in 1v1 situations like here... in a fight you'll get multiple troops at once and then its not good anymore

i think that princess tower and dagger duchess should flip their damage. the pt would deal dhe amaunt of damage of dd and vice versa. also thay should give dd less daggers and a shorter recharge time to make her less mach-up dependent
She’s gonna struggle against bridge spam if that multi-throw ability only recharges when she’s not attacking
so even when she has 0 ammo, she does 153 damage every 1.2 seconds
which means that she does 127.5 dps in her worst case scenario which is hardly even worse than the princess
her ability gives her a 1224 burst damage
this means that in order for her to be objectively worse than the princess she would have to shoot 144 times with no ammo (though the princess would sometimes be better sooner because of the consistency)
to be worse than the canoneer, she would have to shoot 26 times, (this gap is more noticeable since canoneer is better than princess)
i think they should nerf her reload speed or change her max ammo
like, imagine a hog in range of both towers thats 2448 damage, and then they still become basically princess towers afterwards
Nah, she's fine reload wise, like you say, when she doesn't have her reserve, she becomes a worse princess tower (which isn't so good to begin with). She's balanced.
You really get a better grasp of which is best for what, but daggers win lol im seeing a lot of rage spells coming in the future
This seems like another benefit for pekka bridge spam, in addition to the op evo battle ram

Basically shes strong af in one elixer your opponent cant force you to drop cards when he knows youre low at elixer like using wb when a push just got evaporated or using more than just a knight to defend against 3 Royal recruits having to go over limits to defend against loon lumberjack when you just have like 4-5 elixer so shes good at saving your ass in 1x elixer like in golem decks you dont defend cuz then your push will be bad but rn you can defend with minimal elixer while still having a good push on opp lane

But in a match like it’s really easy to lose the tower because if the dagger duchess is charging up her attack and there is a tank well your tower is done
If they had made it shoot out at multiple target like originally planed it would've had a much better use case/niche IMO... now it still is interesting just not as unique

Unfortunately I still think the princess is the best play, I say unfortunately because I actually want to try one of these tower troops. But the main reason I don’t is because I’m not spending 50 dollars to get it to my king tower level.
i feel like the approach they should have went with would've been to make her do less damage than the princess tower but have a faster attack speed and instead of ammo make it so that after a certain period of time the bar fills up and then she throws a powered up set of daggers (basically the damage she does now) for a set period of time the bar can then decrease either in correspondence with how many daggers she throws or with a timer (whichever would be more balanced) i think this would have been much better
That would make princess tower useless. Read back everything you just said and actually think about it. It’d be anything but balanced

Idk why everyone saying the duchess is balanced, she seems pretty weak tbh. It’s really easy to take advantage of her ammo depletion mechanic but this video does a poor job showcasing how vulnerable she will be in game because they’re only sending one troop at a time.
Basically
Canoneer:deadly+slow+weak defence
Duchess:fast+slow ass reload+limited ammo
Princess:slow but faster than canoneer+mid defence
I hope they will eventually bring this back to normal, it will take some effort to humiliate the princess so much.
i still believe dagger dutchess needs a buff as i dont think shes going to be used that much. If your playing golem nightwitch it destroys her. Literally any tank with something behind it will make her useless. If her ammo was recharged a but quicker I think she will be decent
If you play her you CANNOT over commit to a push if you not 100% sure it’ll take the tower cus if it doesn’t their push could ruin your tower. She kinda forces you to deal with ever single tank in the game.
Just wait for evolved tower troops, you lose one and the other one becomes evolved
But the bait card like ice golem and hog rider behind them take so much damage against dagger duchess

It depends how strong the tank is
All the tower have their good and bad. Is what deck you are playing again is the only problem. You can win or lose if you choose the wrong tower.
All I know is that the HP of cannoneer needs to be buffed. So many good plays yet he still loses to a giant.
That was such a rip-off. He deserved points for the dmg, not necessarily dying first.
At least not 400 less than a princess tower. 95% princess HP makes sense, not 80%

Not balanced, seems way strong on 1x elixir and way weak on anything else. Remember, she isn't necessarily winning all of these fights with more troops ready to follow up. An aggressive defense and counter attack is needed to capitalize off of the burst damage that'll preserve your troops who can then hold the line for her while she recharges. She also DOES NOT COUNTER GOBLIN BARREL, DRILL, GRAVEYARD, AND THE LIKE. Your opponent will play them when she's short on daggers. She combines the cannoneer's ability to handle mid range chip with utility against swarms at the cost of completely collapsing when met with a full push. Another way to think about it is as two different towers, charged daggers and no daggers. This will be the most difficult tower to defend a full push with.

The Princess tower is a middle ground of course. When Dagger duchess runs out of daggers she's slower then the cannoneer and does WAY less damage making her weak against tanks. Beat down and pekka decks might be rough. You need high damaging units to make up for her bad tank killing. But smaller single spam units like hog or musketeer ah thats easy
The Cannoneer is much slower but deals more damage per shot making him good against tanky and high hp/low hp single units. Firecracker, spirits, archers, ect are all easily countered but sucks against swarms. even bats are threatening so bring splash cards. Pairs real well with an ice wizard
The princess is ol reliable. She has no weaknesses and is a constant dps. sure while in the video it looks like she sucks this doesn't really represent actual matches. We all know how best to use her. She works in every deck and everyone has her for free. No weaknesses and consistent dps is a good tradeoff since she's way more versatile. They did a good job balancing these guys
Keep note she has a bit more hp than the princess, that could be a great advantage.
Nah mommy princess is my choice until im dead. like you could put some goblins of 2 elixir on the brigde + any win condition and Duchess will be dead
also his ammo takes long time to recharge, sooo even if u use some cards to defend like skeletons, or cannon. Duchess maybe deal some damage but enemy troops will get damage
in same conditions princess will make a lot of damage to the enemy troops, like pekka or hod rider
