I don't have a totally specific hair care routine. I have been buying a lot of hair care products just to try new things out. I will give you one of my favorite ones: I put coconut oil all over my hair and scalp and let it stay 30 minutes - 1 hour (sometimes overnight) prior to washing. After washing my hair, I let the towel sit in my hair for 20 min - 1 hour. I then use a detangler to comb out tangled. I apply leave in conditioner and an oil/serum. The next day, I apply a hair oil on my scalp and hair, then a serum at the ends. I style my hair however I want. Products I love: *Garnier Fructis Grow Strong Shampoo *TreSemme Touchable Softness Conditioner *Suave Keratin Leave in Conditioner *Suave Kids Frozen Detangler *Not Your Mother's 10 in 1 Perfector *Hask Argan Oil *Organix Biotin and Collagen Healing Oil *Dabur Vatika Black Seed Oil *Love, Beauty and Planet Rose and Almond Oil
I also do the cold water trick. Although I have a few tricks up my sleeve before you condition and after you shampoo your hair ring it out to get any extra shampoo out of your hair and when you condition your hair keep a wide tooth comb or use your fingers and comb your hair with the conditioner in it it gets all of the loose hair out detangles it and gives a better condition. Also instead of using a towel to dry your hair after the shower use a T-Shirt for less frizz and breakage. One last tip and would not surprise me if you did this but when blow drying towards the end use cool hair instead of hot it sets the style.
***** her hair is curly but she is making it straight! An updated curly hair routine would be a routine where she would still have her hair curly, so her natural hair! She even asked in the video if people wanted an updated curly hair routine.... :)
+Mr Not That Famous Massaging the scalp does because increases blood circulation in the hair follicles (where the hair grows) so if by combing your hair you do that then it does :)
+Mr Not That Famous The best ting you can use on your hair is a natural Boar bristel brush - i know it might not be cruelty free - but the natural bristels will massage your scalp with the right amount of pressure, and the bristels will allso move your natural oils from your scalp and down on the hairshaft where its needed... Just remember - the thing that is the most damageing to your hair, is actually when its wet!! - wet hair is at its most fragile, and when you airdry long hair while it is flowing over your shoulders, every little movement will damage the hair ..
+Erica Moon You're right!! - but i was talking totally in general, and not taking texture in to account - and it was an answer to mr. not that famous's question - and he didn't mention texture.. what i mentioned before works for straight and wavy hair - bor for curly hair things are very very different - curly hair has a brittle structure from the get go - so it needs to be treated as brittle hair - witch means it is best to only brush it before washing it - and maybe even use fingers to detangle with conditioner or a hairmask in the hair - but i think everyone with curly hair knows that brushing it when dry is a bad idea ;) - the result speaks for itself ;) Just so you know - i have been a hairstylist for 18 years and i specialize in curly hair ;) You and i both know that every hairtype can't be summed up in one or two lines on youtube - If you see my post, i really wasn't talking about when to brush your hair, as to wet or dry - i just mentioned that the most fragile hair, is wet hair - and that goes for both curly and straight ;)

If you wash your hair right when you get into the shower and use the mask then you can wash your body and your face and do anything else you do in your shower routine. That's what I do at least :)
+Mimi Ikonn My hair looks so rough n hard after smoothing mimi can u pl help me out how do i get soft hair ??? pl suggest me i am big fan of urs. pl help me out i want my soft shiny hair back .
Yes to an updated curly hair routine! My hair is a lot like yours and I always like to get new tips on how to style it naturally without straightening.
I love seeing and hearing about what you do with your hair as I have always struggled with mine. I would love to see you do a video about what you do with your hair at bedtime like how you style it, to sleep in and if you put anything in it to help with its condition.
Mimi Thanks to your hair tips my hair has changed alot. It was so damaged, dull and over the years with some changes that i did my hair is shiny and smooth. Thank u so much😍😍😍
Try sectioning the center like a Mohawk and blow drying it forward and back instead of sectioning as a left and right side. I find that gives me more volume! And it falls nicely too! Love this video Mimi! 💕
When she puts in the aloe vera gel into her hair, I'm thinking "Oh her makeup is nice." ....and then she puts on her makeup. Such beautiful skin! On another note, using Apple cider vinegar as a hair rinse is absolutely amazing. It cleanses the hair of product build-up and gives such amazing shine and softness. A couple of tablespoons in about a cup of water (I use a standard jar) and pour it over your hair after shampooing. Rinse with cool or luke -warm water. And don't worry, it doesn't smell at all. But your hair will be instantly replenished! At least, it works for me. :)
+Katie Hale I do it after I shampoo and instead of conditioner. I pour it over my hair from the roots (be careful not to get it in your eyes! it's not pleasant!) and then I massage it into my hair and scalp. Then I just go ahead and leave it in my hair until I'm done washing myself. And then I rinse. :)
Hey Mimi..I noticed that you didn't use any hair protection sprays/lotion before you blow dry your hair. I was under impression that we got to use it before we use any kind of hair tools. What kind of protection do you usually use?
Nice video Mimi! I do brush my hair the same way, only I start with the front section to have a more smoother and softer look. As that section dries faster then the back section. I learned that from my excellent hairdresser... Love xxx
Mimi...love your sans make up look as well...please suggest something for dandruff. ..iam total fed up trying various kinds of products....thnks in advance.
I have dry hair and ends in particular so I use a tiny bit of coconut oil in my ends after styling. As long as you only use a small amount it does not weigh the hair down. I just starting doing this so have yet to see results but I am hoping it will nurish the ends and it is natural :)
love that you're only using natural and cruelty free products! Got a question though, I have curly hair just as you do, and whenever I blow dry it it just stays freezy and puffy, no matter what I do, may you have some tips for me? Would be very lovely 😊
Thank you for being in this tutorial. Everyone who does them is sweet; but, I always feel a let down when it's not you and less interested and inspired. Yay, you!
Hello Mimi Love your video! I just have question for you. My hair is short and I want it to be long super fast, so I was wondering what kind of hair products should I use? Thank you 😘
Have you considered a Brazilian Blowout or Keratin Treatment? My hair was as curly as yours and with a Keratin Treatment I don't get as much frizz. I do miss my curls though, but I don't have to use as much heat to style my hair.
I've the same texture hair so have to say thank soooo much for the baby brush tip I've never seen or thought to do that normally can pick up radio frequencies with my fuzzy baby hair must try that and the aloe vera next time I wash n dry my hair Id be lost without coconut oil as I do the same thing with it the difference in breakage is amazing. Thanks again Mimi xxx
One important question, How often do you do this? the hair mask and coconut oil? I do not blow dry my hair and I used to whast it every day not doing anything else and always looks good and helathy, but since I live in a warm weather city it breaks a lot and had to change and wash it every second day
I have the exact same hair as you do! What I found works really well for baby hairs and volume in the front center of the hair is to take a tangle teezer and just blowdry the hair backwards (so towards the back of your head) while running the tangle teezer through it! Saves a lot of time with the baby hairs and then they're perfect! :)
Have you tried replacing the coconut oil with pure argan oil? I soak my hair in it and it givs me AMAZING results leaving my hair shiny and super smooth!! 🔆Works much better than with coconut oil (at least for my hairtype, very dry). Love your videos btw! 💖💖
Hi Mimi! What I do once I'm done blowing out my hair is spray some oil spray into it ( I use the healing oil spray from Macademia) and change my blow drier setting to cold and blow cold air onto my hair with the oil and it makes it look a lot shinier! Something you may be able to try?
hey mimi...even i have curly hair...could u plz tell me after how many days do u wash u hair nd do u always blow dry ur hair after shampooing it....also wont blow drying make imthe hair brittle and end up making it frizzy.
Hi Mimi! I also have this huge brush for blow drying, but I always feel like it pulls my hair and does more damage to my hair than I can repair. Do you have any good suggestions which brush to use or how to avoid pulling?
how about your hair roots and scalp? what product do you use for treating your hair roots and the scalp? for me, usually i'm using NR hair-reactive tonic treats causes of hair loss for my scalp so the roots become stronger and reduce the hair fall
Hi Mimmi, how often do you wash your hair? I sometimes put the coconut oil on the night before washing, also after blow drying I'm putting a tiny amount of organic Argan oil, but find my hair getting greasy quite quick :( I'm washing my hair once every 2-3 day, I have fringe so day 3 is absolute must :) xxx
my hair routine is like yours i use cheap drugstore products and instead of blow drying i straight it with a straightener iron . i have curly weavy frizzy hair like yours and i always straighten it like you :) how often do you wash your hair in a week ??
Yes an updated curly hair routine please! (: I have curly hair like you! Also, is blow drying better than straightening? And after you blow dry it how do you maintain it through out the days you don't wash your hair?
Yes, Olive oil is a great alternative to coconut oil and it sometimes works better for people's hair than coconut oil. I have curly hair too and switch between both oils.
Your natural hair is so gorgeous! Would love to see some videos with different hairstyles using your natural hair. Love the video, hope to try the aloe vera gel trick.
I like using the Naked Rescue shampoo and conditioner. It conditions my scalp but doesn't flatten my wavy hair. I hardly ever apply heat but is there a product that protects the hair from frizz in warm/humid weather that's natural?
hey mimi! that was awesome and thanks for sharing! well here's a tip. while applying the coconut oil, why don't you apply it in the roots of your hair too? that would help to nourish the hair more. I do it and trust me it's awesome
OMG i do exactly the same process , i just add some argan oil + Castor oil + Honey + almond oil and the Coconut oil before i do my shower, since the Castor oil helps growing up the hair , Honey makes it smoother and shiny , Argan oil+coconut + almond oils helps nutriting the hair ; Note: the cold water at the end is also good for your skin (y) Thank you so much for your great videos mimi and - Jihane from Tangier ( Morocco )
I loved this video Mimi! I also apply coconut oil to my hair the night before I wash it. And once in a while I do your honey and coconut mask 😊. Could you please film an updated curly hair routine? I watched the old one, but I'm guessing you're using new tricks now. 😘
Once I week a like to do a hot oil treatment. I usually mix coconut, castor, almond oil, warm it up a bit and then drench my hair in it for a few hours or overnight. It works sooo well, and my hair looks and feels really healthy! It's also good because I straighten my hair very often so this keeps my hair healthy and nourished!
To be honest I love your hair curly even more than when it's wavy :) Just naturally perfect! Either way you look beautiful xx
+finefulmusic i soo agree with you :)
+finefulmusic I agree! :)
+finefulmusic Thank you for the kind words, love! xo

Thank you for sharing your routine. We love using Coconut Oil to add moisture back into the hair. Sounds wonderful. 💗
Yes! I would love to see an uptdated curly hair routine!
I also do the cold water trick. u r so pretty Mimi and yes please do update a curly hair routine video.......😊
+Zoe Lambe no, this was straight hair routine 😊
***** her hair is curly but she is making it straight! An updated curly hair routine would be a routine where she would still have her hair curly, so her natural hair! She even asked in the video if people wanted an updated curly hair routine.... :)
+Zoe Lambe no it wasn't not nearly even
+Zoe Lambe and I did scroll down, not even 1 word talking about curly hair only hair treatments
How many days do you go without washing your hair?
curious, does combing your hair regularly really help with growth?
+Mr Not That Famous Massaging the scalp does because increases blood circulation in the hair follicles (where the hair grows) so if by combing your hair you do that then it does :)
Catarina Lopes thank you
You're welcome :) I usually prefer to massage my scalp with my fingers instead of combing it though because I find it more effective and less damaging
+Mr Not That Famous The best ting you can use on your hair is a natural Boar bristel brush - i know it might not be cruelty free - but the natural bristels will massage your scalp with the right amount of pressure, and the bristels will allso move your natural oils from your scalp and down on the hairshaft where its needed...

what i mentioned before works for straight and wavy hair - bor for curly hair things are very very different - curly hair has a brittle structure from the get go - so it needs to be treated as brittle hair - witch means it is best to only brush it before washing it - and maybe even use fingers to detangle with conditioner or a hairmask in the hair - but i think everyone with curly hair knows that brushing it when dry is a bad idea ;) - the result speaks for itself ;)
Just so you know - i have been a hairstylist for 18 years and i specialize in curly hair ;)
You and i both know that every hairtype can't be summed up in one or two lines on youtube - If you see my post, i really wasn't talking about when to brush your hair, as to wet or dry - i just mentioned that the most fragile hair, is wet hair - and that goes for both curly and straight ;)
I loveee coconut oil Like a hair mask.. Now my hair is so smooth and shine...
+Lusine Naljayan Coconut oil works WONDERS! xo
+Luxy Hair definitely dear!!! Love your Chanel ❤️❤️
+Luxy Hair where is this sweater from?? And the one you´re using in May Favs. Hi from Mexico!!!

💩💩💩
+Atiya Malik She probably shaves
If you wash your hair right when you get into the shower and use the mask then you can wash your body and your face and do anything else you do in your shower routine. That's what I do at least :)
+dominique p yeah but that takes me 5 min tops
+dominique p I do that while waiting
Now you really KNOW my hair routine, hehe :) xx Mimi

I would love to see your curly hair routine!
I also use Coconut Oil on my hair, and LOVE how my hair feels after it! Secret for long and strong hair if you ask me! :)
Same!!
+ImGirlYouDontKnow Same here!
same!
+ImGirlYouDontKnow We agree! Coconut oil works wonders! ;) xo
Try sectioning the center like a Mohawk and blow drying it forward and back instead of sectioning as a left and right side. I find that gives me more volume! And it falls nicely too! Love this video Mimi! 💕
Coconut oil is such a good thing for hair... I apply it at least once a week. It's nice to know that one of my favorite people does it too😍😘
is this every day or every other day ?
When she puts in the aloe vera gel into her hair, I'm thinking "Oh her makeup is nice." ....and then she puts on her makeup. Such beautiful skin!

+ButterflyRose. Vinegar is good once in a while, not routine. Remember it is pure acidic and can have the opposite effect.
Yes it probably shouldn't be done too often! Maybe once or twice a week.
+ButterflyRose. You're right! Apple cider vinegar has so many hair benefits :) Thank you for sharing xo
Hey Mimi..I noticed that you didn't use any hair protection sprays/lotion before you blow dry your hair. I was under impression that we got to use it before we use any kind of hair tools. What kind of protection do you usually use?
How often do you wash your hair? Love your straight and curly hair routine!😍
Nice video Mimi! I do brush my hair the same way, only I start with the front section to have a more smoother and softer look. As that section dries faster then the back section. I learned that from my excellent hairdresser... Love xxx
How much time does the blowdrying take you, Mimi?
Much more time than Alex takes to get ready.... hehehe... we got to see that in another video😂😛
Hey Maria, I'm not Mimi but I dry my hair exactly like her and it takes me about 30 minutes :)
Hi I use garnier fructis sleek and shine for wavy hair and it works wonders to keep it sleek and shinny.
Mimi...love your sans make up look as well...please suggest something for dandruff. ..iam total fed up trying various kinds of products....thnks in advance.

Mimi..this was like magic.but I want to know if there is too much of product used in our hair will it stay good?
its really beautiful. please let me know again the products names and where it made. i mean products that you used to your hair.
I honestly think your curls look way better. so pretty!
love that you're only using natural and cruelty free products! Got a question though, I have curly hair just as you do, and whenever I blow dry it it just stays freezy and puffy, no matter what I do, may you have some tips for me? Would be very lovely 😊

Hi Mimi! I love your hair style ❤️
Is it possible to have the names of products yoû're using? I cannot see the brands
Thanks!
Mimi you are just amazing, so helpful and you share so much. Here's some of my appreciation for Mimi. She is great xx
One important question, How often do you do this? the hair mask and coconut oil? Hi Mimi! Could you do your skincare routine and everyday makeup routine? I would love to see which products you use.
Have you tried replacing the coconut oil with pure argan oil? I soak my hair in it and it givs me AMAZING results leaving my hair shiny and super smooth!! 🔆Works much better than with coconut oil (at least for my hairtype, very dry). Love your videos btw! 💖💖
What products do u use! Thx and you look gorgeous and congrats on your new baby
I find your hair magnificent!! I asked myself a question, me often puts my oil on hair wet, is it better on hair dry as you make it ??
U r just amazing....i love ur videos😍😍😍.. Thanku so muchhh

Beautiful hair thank you for sharing! I have baby hairs too and didn't have a solution until now! Thank you! XO
I've used the Josie Maran oil in my hair as well. It is an awesome product! And you need so little of it.
Hi Mimi! What I do once I'm done blowing out my hair is spray some oil spray into it ( I use the healing oil spray from Macademia) and change my blow drier setting to cold and blow cold air onto my hair with the oil and it makes it look a lot shinier! Something you may be able to try?
Wow! This is awesome! I needed someone who knows what they're doing with their hair to show me what to do
You look great with your natural wavy hair! I would love to see your update on the curly hair!
How many times a week do you do this routine?:/)
hey mimi...even i have curly hair...could u plz tell me after how many days do u wash u hair nd do u always blow dry ur hair after shampooing it....also wont blow drying make imthe hair brittle and end up making it frizzy.
Hi Mimi! I also have this huge brush for blow drying, but I always feel like it pulls my hair and does more damage to my hair than I can repair. Do you have any good suggestions which brush to use or how to avoid pulling?
Do you have the blow dryer on the hot setting?
Yess!! We want the curly routine 😍😍😍
Where is your grey sweater from? It's so cute!
Mimi you can use sunsilk shampoo it is very nourishing adding extra shine and it is very smooth and
straight. no tangles
Your hair is beyond amazing and healthy girl!
I have the same hair like you !! 😊👌🏼
how about your hair roots and scalp? what product do you use for treating your hair roots and the scalp?
for me, usually i'm using NR hair-reactive tonic treats causes of hair loss for my scalp so the roots become stronger and reduce the hair fall
Omg 😍😍😍 no hair fall at all!!awesome !!
should you use a hair mask before or after shampooing and conditioning?
Hi Mimmi, how often do you wash your hair? I sometimes put the coconut oil on the night before washing, also after blow drying I'm putting a tiny amount of organic Argan oil, but find my hair getting greasy quite quick :( I'm washing my hair once every 2-3 day, I have fringe so day 3 is absolute must :) xxx
love this!!! rly wanna try out these products, do you think you could list them in the description for easy reference? x
hey! Do you wash your hair every day or twice in a week or something else? xxxx
my hair routine is like yours i use cheap drugstore products and instead of blow drying i straight it with a straightener iron . i have curly weavy frizzy hair like yours and i always straighten it like you :) how often do you wash your hair in a week ??
Im so excited for this video, you have no idea!
Mimi, I loved ur hair routine.. 👌.. u r gorgeous.. umm.. I hv a Question! when u blow dry your hair, do they become rough or dry?? I hope u answer..
MIMI IS BACK YAY!!!!!
Your hair looks really healthy and you look nice with and without makeup
love all your tutorial ;-)
Yes an updated curly hair routine please! (:
I have curly hair like you!
Also, is blow drying better than straightening?
And after you blow dry it how do you maintain it through out the days you don't wash your hair?
Love the tips! PLEASE DO an updated curly hair routine for those us who are clueless of how to manage curly fizzy hair 😬
Hello Mimi, what brush do you use to blow dry your hair???
I apply tone of coconut oil or you can also use sesame(growth) or mustard oil(shine).
also I use aloe Vera gel as a serum after wash!!
My hair is just like yours. Can I subsitute the coconut oil with olive oil?
Yes, Olive oil is a great alternative to coconut oil and it sometimes works better for people's hair than coconut oil. I have curly hair too and switch between both oils.
Your natural hair is so gorgeous! Would love to see some videos with different hairstyles using your natural hair. Love the video, hope to try the aloe vera gel trick.
I like using the Naked Rescue shampoo and conditioner. It conditions my scalp but doesn't flatten my wavy hair. I hardly ever apply heat but is there a product that protects the hair from frizz in warm/humid weather that's natural?
I would love to see your curly hair routine! I have naturally curly hair myself!!
Hey Mimi just quick suggestion! could you in the future list the products used in the description box? Thank you
Yes, please talk about curly hair routine. Especially on how to manage them on 2nd and 3rd day.
Your hair looks really soft and bouncy! 👍👍👍
hey mimi! that was awesome and thanks for sharing! well here's a tip. while applying the coconut oil, why don't you apply it in the roots of your hair too? that would help to nourish the hair more. I do it and trust me it's awesome
i use the coconut oil too it's amazing
OMG i do exactly the same process , i just add some argan oil + Castor oil + Honey + almond oil and the Coconut oil before i do my shower, since the Castor oil helps growing up the hair , Honey makes it smoother and shiny , Argan oil+coconut + almond oils helps nutriting the hair ;
Note: the cold water at the end is also good for your skin (y)
Thank you so much for your great videos mimi and - Jihane from Tangier ( Morocco )
I loved this video Mimi! I also apply coconut oil to my hair the night before I wash it. And once in a while I do your honey and coconut mask 😊. Could you please film an updated curly hair routine? I watched the old one, but I'm guessing you're using new tricks now. 😘
no wonder your hair is so pretty and smooth.💖💖👍👍👍
YOUR SOOO PRETTY!!!! ILY💘
Love this video,How long did it take to blow dry your hair ?❤️❤️
Once I week a like to do a hot oil treatment. I usually mix coconut, castor, almond oil, warm it up a bit and then drench my hair in it for a few hours or overnight. It works sooo well, and my hair looks and feels really healthy! It's also good because I straighten my hair very often so this keeps my hair healthy and nourished!
This is amaaaaziiing! I have been looking for natural hair products and I knew clicking on this video was the right thing. :) Thank you Mimi! :)
Can you list either the price of the products you used or where we can find them online please ?? Thank you!
