Hi Dr. I’m a male 60 years old and had both neck and facelift and eyes too. I have experienced most of what you have described and going into week 3, I am beginning to see and feel the results. At one point post op, I kept asking myself “what have I done” however, at week 3, I am doing so much better. Thanks for your expertise on this topic.

I have just scheduled my facelift, upper and lower blepharoplasty , brow and laser resurfacing to june 26th coming up. While doing my research, i cane across Dr Joe's channel and it has help me a lot when it comes to answering a lot of my questions. I interviewed at least three surgeons and finally made a decision. Thank you so much for clarifying a lot of things for me.

69 years old. 2 weeks out from my neck lift, deep plane face lift and endoscopic brow lift. I have to say the first 36 hours after surgery weren’t great, but not horrible. After that first 36 hours I had plenty of swelling and bruising but no pain...some tightness, a little discomfort, but nothing bad at all. At 2 weeks I just have a tiny bit of bruising left and I am slightly chipmunk cheeked and tightness is much improved. I was so nervous but all seems to be going very well. Already have a beautiful jaw line! I have a fabulous facial plastic surgeon in Austin, TX! Don’t be scared. Research your doc and when you find the right one don’t be afraid to go for it!

Thank you for sharing this information. I am a newly neck and cheek lift with fat transfer to my lips.
I wish I had seen this earlier. It definitely explained exactly what I have gone through.
"THE I THINK I MADE A HUGE MISTAKE SYNDROME"! Just, yesterday, I realized...I WAS going to make it! lol
I look like I have been in a meat grinder, but I feel optimistic, NOW, after a few days out.
I have had other surgeries in my lifetime, and I was not prepared for the pain I had the first 3-4 days with this surgery or the bruising. I thought I would breeze through this and be hopping around by the 2nd day. Nope! 🤣 I laugh today, but it was a true wake up for me. Not all surgeries are alike!! This is my first cosmetic surgery and trust me...I shall have respect and be better prepaired should I have any other cosmetic surgeries down the road.
Thank you for sharing your information...ANYONE considering face/neck surgery needs this information.

Maybe you won’t reply. I am 38, male, decent looking but felt I wanted a moderate result to enjoy looking young WHILE actually young… Day 5 here, with day 1 as day of surgery, mini face and brow lift… Still hard to chew due to swelling, neck bulging, I see so much variant info but I just wonder given all variables. Is it possible my face will still LOOK very tight day 5? It doesn’t look good or normal yet, if I was stuck this way I’d be devestated. My surgeons is board certified needn’t worry there. But can anyone give the slightest assurance? Anyone else with difficulty chewing all together and very tight and swollen around sideburns, a little bunching? Thanks… Very much
