Thankyou!!! I am 10 days out and have felt so lazy as I just mosey around my house….but this reminds me that my “job” right now is to rest, recover and heal!!
Dr. Joe, with every one of your videos that I see, I am more convinced than ever that you are my surgeon of choice. Your expertise, combined with your desire to educate and spend so much time with your patients prior to surgery via these clips, is outstanding. Thank you SO much and God Bless You!
I cannot thank you enough for all the information you share! i had full ablation laser scheduled that i had to cancel and may reschedule. They didn’t tell me a thing about pets and what products to purchase how to cleanse in detail like you did in your laser video from years ago. All doctors should be giving detailed instructions like you do! you are wonderful!
Glad it helped. I get a lot of similar emails, so there must be a lot of docs that don't give their patients enough pre op info on what to expect. Dr. Joe
True. I just had face and neck lift with endoscopic brow lift. I had no pre consult with the surgeon, and was given no written aftercare instructions either. This was in Iran. Surgeon was talking with my sister in law who can't speak English. I am 2 weeks post op with necrosis behind left ear. Had first shower 3 days post op. Stitches were not touched, just left dry and bloody. Surgeon says necrosis will go away. I've been on antibiotics for 2 weeks. He won't help. I'm relying on snake oil to fix it since the iranian doctors have no idea about necrosis. Can wait to get back to Australia in a week.
@@simbapumba5813 Sorry you are having problems. All surgeons have necrosis with surgery from time to time and in my experience it heals, takes a while, but heals.
I underestimated the surgery. No verbal information on what to expect, nor videos. Experienced n/v 1st 3 days on zofran. plus hyperopia kicked in 12th day.. Having a TM visit on the 4th w/surgeon. I will def let him know how blind sighted I felt. Your videos have taught me what I should have been taught before, during and after procedure, ty! BEAUTIFUL work!
Wow...what an incredibly useful, honest, and to the point video. So for anyone considering surgery, this is a must see video!! Thank you... BTW... nice Guns! Lol. I admire anyone at any age that keeps fit, but especially a busy professional like yourself!😉
Excellent video! Recently went through bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction, and chemo....so can totally relate! I was VERY prepared as I'd read the info my surgeons provided. I prepared meals, lowered the microwave so I could reach it, had a friend come over and put out the garbage and recycling as I couldnt lift the bags, etc. Chemo retaught important hand sanitation etc. Great advice, Dr Joe!! And the resting part is CRUCIAL to let your body heal. Have a great day and Cheers from 🇨🇦
Wow, that really puts all of this face lift talk into perspective. You are dealing with major life-threatening, changing issues (like my mom did yrs ago with her dble mastectomy) and we're all worried about how we look. We should all be thankful we are healthy. You have a great attitude and im sure that will go far towards your recovery. I'm sending you healing light!! ❤🙏
This is such great information! I'm 22 days post-op from full facelift, TCA peel, lower lid and breast lift surgery. I can't emphasize enough how important having plenty of rest and down time has been to my healing and recovery. It's so true that patients must have patience when healing from cosmetic surgery. Really love your very informative videos!
This was excellent. Very helpful. I don't know if I'd ever do it, but if I did, this would be reviewed again. One thing for sure is I'd never do a brow lift. I would definitely do upper eyelids if and when I needed it. Eyelids to me, take years off people's faces.
My husband and I have been discussing this procedure for almost 2 years now. Actually, he's listening, I'm talking. He doesn't think I need anything done at all, but insists that if that's what I want, then he's here to make it happen. I've been 'stalking' your and others' videos for ages, all very informative. I've had a couple of interviews with surgeons and haven't found the right fit or timing (Covid). I'm hopeful that this is the year and I'll be able to make an appointment with you and your team to discuss my options. Until then...many thanks! JP
I'm day four out of my facelift and neck lift surgery and very swollen! Thank you for the added information. I'm already tired of sitting and lying on my back and butt. I'm in my forties and normally very active. I decided to take care of this at the early signs of aging. I miss working out. 😉
I would not call this a painful surgery (on the physical level). The pain that I feel is mental as I am itching to get my body working out again. I hope this helps those looking into this. Take on this procedure early on - rather than later in life.
Hahahahaha. That would totally be me!! “Honey, I’m just having a little lip filler...”. Great videos, Dr. Niamtu. Love the cheek implant video, especially!! 😁

It is absolutely amazing how a good facelift can take off 10 or 20 years off a person 😳😳😳 incredible. I have never ever thought i will be watching cosmetic surgeries 😂😂😂 i think i might try a face lift when older 😁.
I am sure I want something done. I want to do consult. Can we do it by video? I don’t live near you. I also want to know if you do payment plans? How much would I have to have down for facelift? Thanks
Thanks Dr Joe, that was very helpful. I had an appt with my surgeon yesterday regarding getting a MACS lift, he said in the first six months ill be very happy with the results but after that I may expecct up to 50% sag of the original result once all the swelling and settling takes place. That was disheartening to to think that is the case. is this true or is he likely trying to prepare incase I am not satisfied with the result? His facelift surgeries on his webpage look good but he has no MAC ones and when I asked to see some he said he didnt have any because of patient confidentiality so am a little worried. I kinda feel like if my results wont be that great that maybe fillers would be a cheaper choice except that I have a lax neck with banding and marionnette sag im not sure can be helped much with filler.
If you have a facelift and get 50% sag in the short term, something is wrong. The MAC lift is OK, but not magic. You just need a regular lift from a doc that does a lot of them.
Hi dear doctor Niamtu, great video. I have a question. My mother had her facelift yesterday and her lips are aysemetric , she is mortified will it go away?
I can't give medical advice, but if she did not have any procedures other than the lift, then it could be swelling. Her surgeon will be able to answer.
Hi Dr. Joe first of all I love the information you give but I have a question I did my faceliftoverseas and I am happy so far it's been 3 weeks but behind my ears I have these little bumps were the sutures were they don't hurt ..will they dissapear? or they will have to be removed eventually in a minor procedure? Thank you in advanced for the response
You do beautiful work. I'm 68 and look good for my age but I look like shit for 23! U brought up some things I hadn't even thought about like pets and the shower head. I have two adorable white cats with gorgeous coats but their dandur coats everything in my apartment and they love me and want to snuggle. I'm HIV so I take extra care by wearing rubber gloves when clean their litter box. I have had a lot of plastic surgery in my twenties and thirties so I know what the recovery is really like. It took me a full year to heal before I could really judge the final result. I just couldn't face that healing time again and unless they can hide the scars in my asshole I can't do it. But I did enjoy your presentation.
I want to try it but am so afraid I can't tolerate the pain. I once had a chemical ipl and the procedure was far more painful than I was promised. Now I am afraid. It sounds like one would be smart to replace the shower head and use distilled water on the face.
Hi Dr. Joe Niamtu, do you have expierence with endoscopical subperiostal midfacelift through temporal incision? If so, does it hurt when a patient wakes up? And if a cut is being made in the head area is that harmfull to the nerves there, because i can feel my nerves in that area and i am afraid i will become blind or i will get blood clots there. I hope you can answer my questions...greetings from Holland
