i truly wish my millenial christian brothers and sisters would deeply listen to these lyrics... "you can't hold onto love and live by the law of the jungle" "suffering the wonderlust they all get crushed by the law of the jungle" ... for too long we have believed that the justice of God is brutal, stale, and religious while the evolved, progressive, justice of our culture is pure and new... when in fact the law of the world or "jungle", that we live in, is as brutal, wicked, and old as time, yet God's mercy is undeserved and sweet. there is no coming back from the accusations of this society in which we reside. But there is great redemption in the mercy of the creator. So before you go running in "wanderlust" towards the world in a dire need to be relevant, trend-attentive, and loved by the society around you... you actually run from mercy towards a system of accusation and "justice" that can swallow any and all persons at anytime in a fury of merciless punishment and destruction...may this song never become yet another tired background christian song of yesteryear... but a reminder of the truth of Gods mercy and the danger of longing after the counterfeit truth of humanity...
