Dude, the not getting down on yourself or getting an ego based on the last round or a streak is such a valid thing. I even do it after winning game 1 in a best 2/3, I'll be like oh yeah I only have to win one more now and that effects my plays. Or I'll go down 0-1 and be like there's no way I can win 2 in a row after just losing.
Thanks for the video. You’ve taught me a lesson to not feel unstoppable after you have a great start. At Fresno, in seniors, played arctina, and I started very strong and was 3-1. I felt so unstoppable and thought I could get top 8. Then, that 3-1 record went downhill so fast and I played against hard players and ended off with 3-3-1.
The thing I need to work on is my mood. I have anxiety and I an constantly worrying about little things like if someone looks at me weird or if I’m not navigating getting around people to move across the room. I tried listening to music when I was near sobbing due to social anxiety and I honestly cannot recommend it enough. If you have time in between rounds listen to your favorite song and drink water and remember to be kind to yourself!
I've had a LOT of friends at my LGS say Hisuian Arcanine V/Sandy Shocks is bad and I should play meta (waiting on a few cards to come in to sleeve it up), but I've been playing it on Live for a couple weeks now and it just feels great. I don't feel like there's a bad match-up in the meta for it right now, and I tend to gain traction and keep tempo up and win about 65%-70% of my games (was around 1200 on Live before ladder reset). So, hearing you say just stick with what clicks helped with my confidence in the list. Appreciate the video, much love.
7:00 : no please guys... stop complaining about your games to your friends. No one likes to hear anyone about each and every detail of your games. Sum it up in 2 sentences. Not more. Thanks, One of these friends PS: thanks for the great video Jared! Your 1st advice is the most important by far. The others will follow naturally. Eg: if you play the same deck (and like it), you will free some mental space and naturally observe your opponent / the board state. It's like when you learn how to drive. At first, you are just focusing on how your car works. Few hours later, you start to watch what surrounds you. And at the end, everything seems so easy that you can talk while driving.
Yeah obviously if your friends are cool with it, I've definitely had some low points this season where I've ranted a bit too much though I will admit haha it's hard
Trying to find all the necessary pieces for chein pao to take ko’s on bigger threats is the same as struggling with finding pieces with Comfey, is it not? All decks need their necessary pieces to function so if it’s greninja drawing two and wiffing the irida, zard missing arven or LZ not getting Colress, it’s all the same. Navigating around those short comings for a strong late game is what’s key.
It's similar except decks like LZB and Tina have T1 going second options and reliable T2 going first options in the form of abyss seeking and spit. So even if Tina can't find a colress it can still crank through the deck, whereas Pao just passes and hopes to draw something next turn
The only think i think miss was how long a best 2/3 9.round touny is. Then needing to play 6 round the next day. It take great mentally to stay leveled headed and playing ur best for all r15. That not.even counting top cut
If it’s your first year playing PokemonTCG and you’ve played some challenges and league events, and haven’t played in a cup yet; if you only can go to one multiday event, would you do you a regional or NAIC?
NAIC is gonna be really hard to get into so if you're gonna put your marbles in one probably a regionals since it's way more guaranteed you'll get in? There's also usually more people at ICs in general because they are higher ranked events and are 3 days instead of 2. I like ICs more I think they're a lot of fun but again if you want to bank on one go for a regional
lol if you're still focusing on the order you're going to play your cards, that's kinda crazy. I guess playing Archies Blastoise just built me different
You can always improve on sequencing. And it's not just basic sequencing like how to get out a Blastoise or a baxcalibur , but it's how that sequencing affects the overall gamestate.
That is not facts because the same people who win keep winning. At least if they were that lucky you'd think they'd be at the casino instead of a tegionals lol

Don’t play it
@@frzy970 Great input. Truly changed my outlook.
@@Turbogremlingaming it’s definitely a good deck, though many just don’t see it making it - go with what’s best for you
I agree this is how I started to win cups
I’ll be a weirdo and meditate in the corner between rounds 😂

Yeah mental stamina is essential and is very overlooked
Okay I did all of this and I still went 0-7 in my at home testing, sorry Jared you were wrong.
Great video, I’m trying to learn that
Cool video!!
Good advice I play way better when I’m in a good mood
