    First class in depth video. You are one of a very few that goes into detail. Very impressed with parlour and the simplicity of it.
    Our Delaval parlour we put in a few years ago is a nightmare. Cow flow is a disaster. Costs a fortune to maintain and when you go to milk in the morning and there’s a fault at the computer, you are standing helpless and can’t milk till the computer is rectified.
    Keep the videos coming.

    Good Video Rich,Nice set up and low cost to run and maintain.I’ve never seen the idea of putting washing up liquid in the volume washer tank ,is it just for the flies or does it help keep the parlour clean.Nice looking cows as well 👍

    Great video and great set up rich , your set up and your cow type is unusual for the uk it’s more like a New Zealand or Irish system , I am curious as to how or why you are on that system , have you ever heard of a New Zealand guy called Aundre van Barnaveld ?

    • @milkingwithrich
      @milkingwithrich  Год назад

      The system was already in place when I took over the farm 5 years ago. Simple and always made good money so I thought we would keep it. Just tweet it a little.

    Putting a parlour in now and quite like the light you get into your parlour.

    • @milkingwithrich
      @milkingwithrich  Год назад

      Clear fibre sheets. That parlour is so light all year round we barely ever have the lights on

    Hope the wagon man going to clean the trough out 3 times aweek or stale food left new on top will heat up
    Feed trough out side be a nightmare... Stick to self feed. Anyway you will find out. Need to be empty every day. I bet that will not happen Good luck

    Great Video Rich really enjoy them and really informative, Would you think about putting some cheap and cheerful cubicles in the sheds?

    • @milkingwithrich
      @milkingwithrich  Год назад

      Yes have thought about it many of times. The shed floor would have to be hacked up though because it doesn't run. They are to flat

      Not too sure about going too much towards an Irish Friesian. Can’t beat the efficiency of a jersey cross converting feed to kg/ms. Your Arla contract very solid based. You may get a better cull cow value with the black and white, but you’ve got to pay to keep her everyday she’s on the farm.
