Almost 30 mins long video for a back to top functionality. Respect!

You should have seen the long version 🫣

@@GrantAmbrose Honestly, I watched it, and you explained everything very detailed, why 30 mins length was needed. 😉
The only thing I had done different is instead of inserting an extra div, you could use JS to scroll to 0px. (Not scrolled state).

Hello. I'm on a local server but I can't make it to work. When I add the second code to the functions.php, the button stays on. Like the code and the CSS are not doing anything there. Thanks for the great video. The HTML works as shown.

      Not too sure, maybe caching?

      Same here. No caching enabled.

Great tutorial, thank you! For me, using the url '#top' on the button works without adding the bricks_before_header hook, even with a sticky header.

Oh really. Definitely didn't for me. What element in your website has the ID of top ?

Would be nice a video where you show how you set up your custom plugin, I use a similar approach, I don't like to use snippets plugins like wp code box or similar.

Grant do you have a blog post or video that explains how you created your TOC Gutenberg block?

Hi Daniel, it's not currently out yet. I have it planned and I think I'll release it into the free Email Course I am working on as I think it fits in nicely there wagepirate.com/op/optin-subscribe-general-link/

You're not using it on your website though. How come?

My business is trying all the page builders to make content so I ended up rebuilding it with Cwicly to see how Cwicly worked. And I liked the result so kept it. Both Cwicly or Bricks are the best right now IMO

What ? I thought it was simple as giving the top an ID and just add that ID as anchor link into the button ?👀
That's what I do in Divi and Breakdance !

    • @GrantAmbrose
      @GrantAmbrose  Год назад

Does that work with a Sticky Header in Divi?

      @@GrantAmbrose Hey ! 😮
I just tested that in Divi. You're right, it does not work !
