I think they have missed that opportunity in Skyfall. Imagine to have nameless character instead of Mr.Silva played by Brosnan. M's death would make much more sense, as she never liked Brosnan's Bond.

@@alexraitano7599 Funny thing is that Connery wasn’t really that old when Never Say Never was released. In fact he was the same age Daniel is currently. That generation just aged faster it seemed.

My favorite James Bond of all time. Pierce is a Legend!
I knew the answer before he said it. During the press tour for "Spectre", Craig said that Pierce was kind enough to call and coach him when he was announced as the next Bond. Everything he told him came true and it was that advice that helped him survive "living" as James Bond. It sounds like a lot more work, mentally and physically, than we can imagine!
That kind of crazy celebrity is unreal and I can't even imagine how any sane person could even want a tiny fraction of that attention, but that sounded like a pat answer of "nobody is ever going to ask me". In other interviews long ago he was quite cheezed and thought he was going to get another Bond movie, and thought it would be the more realistic and gritty one-and I don't blame him. I would think ANY actor when given the right script would jump on almost anything. I kind of knew THAT answer was coming, but was still annoyed the guy doesn't feature it til the end. In hollywood its harder to get a real answer than from a sports player.
I love Pierce as Bond. If he returned as bond I would jump for joy

I'd love a standalone Bond film featuring an oldman Bond with Brosnan. I have no idea what the story would be, but I'd watch it!
His looks are phantastic. With the professional make up unit he can play a mature but not old bond without any problem! Looks fresher and better than Craig.

I liked the last 3 Craig movies, but Pierce will always be my favorite Bond. I can only dream to see him as Bond again. I often watch that post-Bond movie The November Man and think of him as Bond in that film : )

These interviews are always a great mix of unique and interesting questions, as well as nerd ones that we're all actually here for, but that last Bond question seemed so odd. Not everyone needs to be asked about the big nerd thing they did, especially when it's obviously a no, and even more especially when you should have asked about Doctor Fate!
Great Bond. I can see him coming back for one last Martini (as Sean had in Never Say Never Again). Loved his movies.
That’s a shame because I’m an interview from less than a year ago he said he’d be open to coming back as Bond or maybe even as a Bond villain

To me, he was the perfect Bond.
Brosnan is well overdue for his _Never Say Never Again_ comeback. Given how much the producers went to try and tie up the Craig era with _No Time To Die,_ it wouldn't surprise me if they tried to give the original series a proper send off with the return of either Brosnan, Dalton or even Lazenby playing a retired Bond on one last mission.

Brosnan should come back as a trainer or maybe a control agent in the locale where the new Bond is going to be. They said they're going to be reinventing 007/James Bond after Craig was killed, so what better way than a movie that introduces a trainee. Maybe an SBS operator in need of "civilizing" and training in the finer things. Very skilled in fighting and weapons, but requiring some polish. Nobody better than an old double-O to teach it.
It's funny, I was in a couple high school plays including a musical: South Pacific. I am in fact a singer, I've always been able to sing and have done so in front of audiences but for some reason in this case I was given the only major part that doesn't ever sing: Captain Brackett. Guess my comedic timing won out over the singing. Or else I was the best 18 year old student that year capable of seeming like he was 50ish...

Logan style Bond with James Mangold directing. The Rock with Sean Connery was one such thing. We can have one old Bond and one young. Switch it up.

Connery was 53 when he did "Never Say Never Again".
Brosnan is now 68 years old; that's a 15 year difference.
This interview is awesome but I must say brosnan to all of us who know and love you and for us you are 007 I believe you still have one more movie in you and thats making everything or nothing a master piece. We have played the game and now I would like to see being a kid who grew up from goldeneye on 64 to everything or nothing on GameCube I would love to see a everything or nothing movie cast with William and the two actresses. I think it would be I great return as bond
Impressive interviewing. you asked good questions and left it at that you didn't emphasize or repeat yourself and you let him talk and you didn't keep on with the same questions and act dumb very intelligent intriguing other so called journalist could learn a lot from you!!!! You were respectful while you interviewed him. I haven't seen that type of respect since the mid 80s....... 🤷also most people ask by far the DUMBEST AND WEIRDEST QUESTIONS KNOWN TO MAN. It makes you wanna cringe. So props to you sir. 👍

I'd like to see him come back as James Bond....I mean Harrison Ford is in the new Indiana Jones film at aged 80..... an older Bond would make a good story, maybe more espionage elements and every now and again Bond would retrieve some of his old skills when you least expected it, it could be interesting, he could have a female sidekick who bails him out every now and again.....bit like the Steed, Emma Peel dynamic, nothing sexual going on between them....I think there is a lot of potential for a good story with him back in role the and playing his real age.

I found out recently. Im related to Johnny Stampanato. He's my great great grandfather. His daughter Teresa Stampanato had a family with Anthony Crimaldi who had my grandpa Michael Anthony Crimaldi who had my mom and obviously im here haha. Anyway, one of the first things i found out is how Johnny had a vendetta with the old James Bond "Sean Connery " over a woman named Lana Turner. Beautiful woman. Sean apparently disarmed Johnny at a restaurant or club in England. Johnny actually flew to England just to get Sean. Then Sean disarmed Johnny and dropped him with a right cross. How true is this? Idk. But that's the story i found. Its on youtube as well. Pretty funny. After Johnny Stampanato was murdered Mickey Cohen thought Sean Connery had something to do with it. So he put a hit out on Connery and he had to go into hiding for awhile. Crazy stuff for a movie actor to be involved in. Well, that's a woman for ya. Chase the wrong one and you may end up in a world of men that want to kill you haha

Brilliant question. Would love to see Brosnan back as Bond. Even as a one off. Jeff Bezos could put right one of the greatest Bond injustices ever. It could be action light but dialogue and scenery allowed to be played out. I would get David Fincher or Darren Aranofsky to direct.

Pierce Brosnan should return as Bond one more time as a final send off. Pierce Brosnan’s Bond is recruited back from retirement after finding out about Daniel Craig’s bond dead. Gareth Mallory informs PB Bond that the enemy he is facing is about a person who tries to track down agents with “007” or anyone who was associated with the name “James Bond” or “007” to die, surrender or join them, as realized later after meeting Camille. He realizes that the M from DC’s era was the twin sister of Pierce Brosnan’s M. She is mourning after the death of her twin sister. John Cleese also returns as a retired Q and tells Bond that over the years he has told Bond that he has matured and became one of the best agents he ever worked with. Q told Bond that Desmond Llewelyn’s Q thought of him as a good agent despite not telling him before he died. Bond goes to china to meet Wei Lin telling her how today’s society was just like how it was when they faced Elliot Carver. Samantha Bond’s MoneyPenny retired from MI6 and we finally see that Bond loved her all these years but wasn’t mature enough to see it because he didn’t want her in danger and are about to get married. Natalya Simonova still works for the computer field at MI6 despite being broken up. Christmas Jones is still a nuclear Physcist and sees Mathilde and tells her story about Bonds. PB Bond tries to track down GL Bond as referenced “This didn’t happen with the other fellow” as a separate person. He tells him that he is in danger and must warn Timothy Dalton’s Bond and must work together to stop this organization. Felix Leiter, who is now a private detective played by John Terry tells PB, GL, and TD that Felix Leiter is not his real name and knows about Jeffrey Wrights Felix dead. PB also finds Mathilde and tries to learn about the legacy. The theme is legends, identity, and passing on the torch, and generations. TL;DR: this movie can be inspired by No Way Home and Star Trek (2009) and include inspiring a remake of OHMSS since PB wanted to do that but still use an original story but as OHMSS as inspirations and maybe have GL tell PB what it was like and not have him go through it again. And it needs to be have the same impact as Goldeneye did.

I would love to see a multi-verse story with the next Bond, with Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig returning, with maybe a CGI Sean Connery and Roger Moore.

I could see that with Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton, and George Lanzenby. We can also see how GL talks to PB about what it was like being married and PB loved Samantha Bond’s MoneyPenny all this time but was not mature not to see it. And Timothy Dalton should return as his send off with them. They could be retiring agents and 007 and James Bond are code names which can be a theme in the next movie as Legends, identity, passing on a torch and generations.
@@MrAmericarox They could. What if John Terry’s version was in the next one and found out about the Felix from DC. John Terry’s Felix is a private detective while Jeffrey Wrights Felix was still working for the CIA. They can say that those were code names.

I still think they should make the Halle Berry Jinx spin-off. In that universe Brosnan could still be bond. I know Die Another Day sucked, but in the right hands Jinx could be interesting.
