If you get mostly Heavy/Wet type Snow... avoid the Auger style models and get like a Toro with the "Paddle". The Auger style get clogged easily

Need advice. I have a 400’ concrete winding drive with a steep section about 50’ with a grade as much as 18.5 degrees. I live in KY with annual snowfall of only 8-10” average snowfall but when it snows, I’m trapped on my hill till it thaws with car at bottom. So, I’m looking at UTV with snow blade or an inline Toro single stage snowblower model#39915. I’d rather go with the blower to save a lot of cash but is my driveway grade too steep. Any advice helps. I’ve never owned or used either by the way. Thanks!

No honda tracked 2 stage blowers?? If you live in a snow country none of these are going to help much

That robotic one won't do anything in even an average snow area . It'll get lost and you'll find it in the spring

If stronger knives were installed, this machine could be used to dig irrigation or drainage canals, as well as military trenches.

These snowblowers are not made for real winters.

A word to the wise. Stay away from 3 stage snow blowers. Do your research and you will find they do not perform well in wet conditions. A quality two stage 14in auger and impeller system will deal with anything mother mature throws at you. It will be money well spent when those big snowstorms hit.

Thank you. Stay away from Cub Cadet then. That's the only brand I'm familiar with that heavily uses them. If I buy one will be an Ariens or Toro. Currently using a Craftsman that I bought used.

@@alexhunter6141 Alex, Troy Bilt which is also built by MTD offers 3 stage snow blowers as well. I own a Toro Power Max HD 1232. Mine has trigger steering, but the Toro HD 8-10 series use auto steer like the Ariens machines.
Some love the auto steer, while others not so much.
If you do purchase a snow blower with auto steer, it is highly recommended to replace the steel shoes with poly shoes. From the research I have done that makes a big difference in the performance of the auto steer system.
My property is very uneven in many places, so I opted to go with the 1232 which uses trigger steering. Toro and Ariens both make excellent snow blowers.
I can state from experience that the Toro anti clog system works as advertised. This winter here in southeastern MI we got hit with 9 inches of extremely heavy wet snow.
That is the worst kind of snow to deal with. I was blowing that stuff for nearly an hour and not even a hint of clogging.
The machine was able to blow the heavy wet stuff between 40 and 50'.
According to Toro, the 1232 can throw snow up to 57'. In the right snow conditions, there is no doubt about that claim.
I think you would be very satisfied with a Toro or Ariens snow blower, both are well built quality machines.

"If you live in an area that snows often....................."
Then watch this vid and check ALL of these OFF of your list.
Well maybe not the 208cc Craftsman if you just get an occasional 6-8", But this vid is a joke.

Unfortunately the Craftsman sucks, cheap plastic transmission, needs replaced about every two years.

This review is a joke! If you need a real good snow blower, try Yamaha 624EJ.
