- Styx with a great twofer live from the Front Row of the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta Georgia 6/18/21. First track is from their newest album "Crash of the Crown" and its followed by the classic Crystal Ball. Both tracks feature Tommy Shaw on lead vocals.
Tommy and JY are ageless, man. LOVE The Mission and Crash of the Crown - What a late-late-career roll they are on!

I saw them last night in Southaven MS, live music is back, and both bands mentioned that it was great to be back on the road. And yeah, Tommy Shaw's voice is the bomb!

That is a good one. I'm liking quite a few songs off this new album. Our Wonderful Lives, To Those, & this one are the ones stuck in my head at the moment. For me, The Mission was going to be hard to top but so far, this one comes really close. The Mission, they brought back some really nice elements of the old prog rock days. This new album is at least on par or even slightly more on the old prog rock days influence. I'm very much enjoying what I am hearing with the new one.

Notice Styx performs here a LOT .
Louisville on the 21st had no restrictions except there was a barrier about 10 feet from the stage(outdoor show). Styx was fine with people along the rail. The barrier prevented direct contact with the band. There are also NO MEET AND GREETS. Only people wearing masks were ticket takers, ushers, vendors...probably a company policy, not concert rule.

Your opinion. My opinion: The Mission was one of their best albums. Top five.
Yup, touring non stop since 99, sounds really lost. They've played more shows without Deyoung than with him.
Last 2 albums have been great. They are on a roll musically.
