Great video both of you and wonderful weather to do these Munro's. I have passed by Bein Dorain many times in the car and glance over to look at this massive mountain in awe. I will have to a crack at it sometime.
Thanks Douglas. It’s not quite as bad as it looks. The initial hike towards the bealach is at a steady incline, but as you get closer it gets a bit steeper. After that it’s not bad at all.
It’s a great pair of hills! I’ve done them twice now - once in miserable conditions, and then this time. Was definitely worth doing them again on such a nice day 😄
@@HighlandHikers as I say why only do munros once and then don't go back, there's a load of hills I would be happy to hike up again, just done Ptarmigan ridge again recently and enjoyed that.
Hi Paul. It took us 7hrs 45mins. You can definitely do it faster if you wanted to - we had pretty long breaks at both summits to enjoy the views and fly the drone. Looking back at my notes it seems I did it in 5hrs 20mins back in 2007! That’s probably on the faster side though. Hope this helps.
No problem, and thanks for subscribing! Hope you have a good walk tomorrow 😃 We’d been planning to do the Buachaille Etive Beag tomorrow, but unfortunately Alistair is currently suffering from man flu 🤒 We got 3 walks done last weekend though, so next few videos are sorted 👍
Great video guys. Very informative and brilliant views all round. Well done. ;)
Thank you!

Thanks very much, definitely got Ben Dorain on my radar.
No problem, hope you have a good hike when you do it!
If the weather permits might give it a bash next month.
Cool, we’ll keep our fingers crossed you get a nice day for it 😃
Done these last October in variable conditions however wouldn't hesitate doing Dorain again, loved that munro

Nice one guys. You got a great day then. Cheers Paul
Probably the best weather we’ve had on a walk together!
Great hills, great video!
Thanks Calum! Glad you enjoyed the video 😃
Great video lads! Just recently passed these munros on the WHW and hopefully will get to do them before the end of the year!
Thanks! How did you enjoy the WHW? I’ve done bits and pieces of it, but never the full thing.
@@HighlandHikers It was fantastic, weather wasn't too bad either!
How long did this take you guys? Doing this tomorrow
