Very nice bro. I just extended my warranty on my 2019. With that said. All I did was a Ford Performance passenger side catch can and a K&N filter. I am not messing with a damn thing on this engine, stock all the way lol.
Oem intake isn’t restrictive, you’re not gaining much at all from the JLT. Palm beach dyno proved it, most of the gains come from the e85 and headers. Now I’d be curious about a cobra jet set up.
You are probably right. However, I do believe up top the intake can make a difference, even if its just within the last couple hundred RPMs. But tbh, it just looks 100x better than OEM! Cobra jet would be interesting 🤔
@T Chris I can relate to 100%. A lot of aftermarket mufflers or mid pipes will ruin the sound! I would suggest going with a resonator delete X-pipe first (stock on all GT350R models)! That is the cheapest and easiest way to get the max out of the stock system without ruining the sound! You will get more volume, cracks and pops. If you want more, you gotta do headers! You will keep the original sound with a high pitch scream above 4k rpm! Let me know if that helps/ you have further questions!
Good video! I have the same exhaust. Debating on taking off the resonators.... can you try to get some exterior videos of your exhaust? Normal driving and WOT?
Appreciate it! Planning on getting some more exterior sound videos! I already have some on the channel if you want to check them out in the meantime! So you have headers but not the resonator delete? The resonator is the best mod! With the active exhaust its super nice, since you can still drive the car completely quiet!
@@5.2ltr Yeah your car is why I went with stainless works headers haha! Sounds sick. I tried running some test pipes inplace of the cats but it sounded like shit. @@scalla1384 Sick man! That means a lot! Glad you went that route! Catless sounds very raspy and seems to be too extreme! Do you not like the high flow cats? I think a resonator delete is the best! And if you don't like it you can weld them back on🤷🏽♂️

No oil catch cans? I know it’s not a “performance mod” but my passenger side needs to be emptied every oil change. (2018 gt350, no mods). May be worth looking into for longevity.
Thanks for mentioning! I do have a passenger side catch can! Definitely good piece for the GT350s, I also do collect a good amount. Probably should check mine again😅
Great looking car love it.. question for you on the lund tune.. i see you have proflex with LT headers… you mentioned you are tuned on 93… Dosen’t the proflex interfere with the tune mod from lunds If you fill up e85 what will happen with lund tune and overall car performance
Thank you Sir! Very good question! The 93 tune and ProFlex do not make any issues together. AFD say it on their website that it's totally fine to run a 93 tune while using their systems. I also talked to them on the phone to confirm. The only thing that is happening in my understanding is, that through running E85 you burn fuel quicker which is why the ProFlex Commander will adjust the injection. No matter if you run a tune or not! No problems whatsoever!
@@5.2ltr I had the same assumption as well and it does makes sense. It’s like running stock tune on 91 and proflex e85 adjusts to the injection So lund tune on 93/91 would do the same… one more questions though did you get the lund tune right after you installed the LT headers or after you got the JLT ?? And yes running on E85 consumes more and avg mileage reduces no matter what
@@mmalik4 correct! I got the tune right when I got my headers done! Otherwise you would run lean. And yes E85 will burn faster therefore less MPG, but it wasn't too bad. Also most times E85 is cheaper.
Any tune can potentially affect reliability since you are flashing a non Ford tune and pushing more HP and torque. However, Lund is one of the most reliable companies when it comes to tunes as they have worked with Mustangs for a long time and therefore have a lot of research done. I personally haven't had issues and am beyond happy with the car. With the tune it feels like it should have from factory👍🏽
Weird. I have the same JLT intake, the same Mushimoto tank, the same Soler throttle body but I also got the interior controller to adjust the sensitivity. I have both oil catch cans too.
So I am looking to do something similar now when you load up your tune can you use a combo of the tuner and the ethanol sensing setup or do they clash Just wondering if when you put ethanol in it if you have to change the tune or if the sensor does that thanks!
So I am running a 93 tune plus the sensor/harness. AFD even advertises their product saying that it will work together! A lot of people are doing it without any issues! So in short, yes it works!
The headers themselves are around $2200 I believe. Install depends on who does it! My buddy did it for me, but I still paid him since that's a full weekend's job.
yeah that can be scary😅 my buddies ‘17 does burn a bit oil as well, but he has some mods done to it. My other friend has a ‘17 whippled without any oil consumption… Have you considered trying to find another one, or building the engine?
As long as you keep track of your oil and top it off as needed itll be fine. The main issue is guys beat on em and don't even check their oil then when it's low and it goes bang they're like damn gt350s are unreliable. Not really just engines don't like running hard low on oil imagine that lol
Really Guy your going to talk about your mods and especially the headers and not let us hear it idle. I was curious about the sound because I’m wondering if there is a really noticeable difference than just having the resonator delete. I own the same car, and with the resonator delete it sounds like the R.
Yeah Guy, this video is showing all mods, not focusing on the one that you might be interested in. I have videos about the headers themselves. The headers make a huge difference in the higher RPM range.
Man, I want one but my stupid wrx has 563 wheel. I tell myself the sound is worth the hp loss but I kno u put some cash into this to get it to 500ish. And still prob heavier and just ya fml.
😂damn man! 563whp sounds fast in a WRX! I love my WRX daily driver, but it cant compare to the sound and feel of a purebred V8! These are two totally different cars. At the end you have to make the decision on what you want. With just E85 you should break the 500whp on the 350s though!
Don't judge cars based on peak rwhp numbers. That is the worst thing you could ever do. It's about the experience and the experience in a badass nicely modified gt350 is very good...
With 560 wheel I imagine your wrx is built and big turbo etc. That is alot of mods to get where it is a bolt on gt350 can hit those numbers. With cams for sure. They're totally different cars..do you want an awd tuner car or do you want one of the most badass unique mustangs made in recent times? Just don't make the decision based on what has more power or because a stock or light modded gt350 may have less. If you're so hungry for power boost it lol.
