You know that even family vans like the VW Sharan and VW Transporter (or Multivan, or Caravelle) had a version of VR6 engines under the bonnet....they could be ultimate sleeper cars too
Second this, I jumped when one came up for sale. She pulls the whole family with a smile, just needs a turbo lol 🤣

While my passat doesnt sport the VR6, the generation it's from did. The 07-09 passat wagons are sleepers.
Used to own a NMS Passat with 3.6, later I learned that 3.6 actually is a VR6 engine, the best engine sound and power I have ever experienced.

Still love my r36, even after 7 years. Usually I change after 2/3 but it works so well for me and my needs. The soundtrack never gets old either.
The R36 sedan Passat are so rare here in SA..

Such amazing sounding motors, shame they're kinda slow stock and the only way to get decent power is to turbo them but that is mega money
Yeahh, I wish vw built a car that came with a turbocharged v6. Idk maybe if they did that it would still be around today, but with emissions and efficiency well have to make do with the 2.0 I guess, at least in their new cars

when a mkv golf produces this sound, it sounds good. but when a 350z does it, it "sounds like shit" and "sounds like a trombone ew". why?
I’m not even a huge fan of the 350Zs but I’ve always thought the VQ engines sound pretty nice. I think people just trash on them because it’s the popular thing to do.

Ew these don't even compare, go get your ears checked😂 how old are you, is your tone perception okay?😂💀 these sound unique compared to any other "v6" cause this isnt a v and the intake/outtake makes thes sound unique along with the cylinder design. Nissans are trumpets, these are wookies.

De meeste is de vr6 sound verpest hoor . Hoor spetterpoep japan uitlaten die de vr6 sound doden . Vr6 mag geen andere uitlaat geen andere filters geen turbo’s alleen vr6 zodat je de motor hoort . Anders ben je een prutser en koop je maar een honda

@@QKvox hmm, no. The R36 is a completely different engine, different V angle, Different block, different pistons.
It's a VR6 engine but that's where the similarities end. (except for maybe belts and pumps idk)

@@fadedjate7230 12v normally sounds a little less sharp, more warm, woolly. Lower pitched.
@@rubensosatuub the 24v with like no resonators are probably what your hearing too raspy. 24v with resonator is heaven
I really wish VW would give us more engine options if they can produce such an amazing engine. Such as why can't we just order a GTI with a 350 hp engine from the factory? 215 isn't much considering some VANS produce more from a V6 displacing barely 4 liters nowadays. VW missed out on a chance to really rake in more sales easily.
PS: Engine size has nothing to do with horsepower restrictions. The Oldsmobile Quad 4 series was designed to put out 700 hp originally and was used in the Aerotech research car, which easily hit over 250 mph. The test driver was none other than AJ Foyt.
yeah considering my moms 3.5 v6 minivan makes 266hp. the gti definitely needs more power

Purely based off looks, the mk5 is terrible, what are you on? Mk1 and 2 are the best looking. Mk5 was a crazy regression (in terms of looks) compared to mk4
