I’m 73YO, and I remember these cars sounded like that, bone stock. They came from the factory already cammed up and ready for battle. The original 426 hemi was available in a street version or, if you had the bucks and the connections, you could get one that would rip asphalt for two blocks and not break a sweat. The 426 hemi, the 383, 340, and the 440 were all bad to the bone. As a Chevy guy, I speak this out of respect and admiration from a lot of great memories of great bygone times.
As a Chevy guy myself the classics that Chevy put all seemed to just be beautiful machines. Their exhaust notes, their styling, their handling, they've always had such a refined nature about em. I dream of owning a 67 impala SS in black restored to that level.

Had a '71 440 cuda back in the day... those were the best times, when muscle cars were plenty and factory color, makes and models on the road at any given time.
That sound is like beautiful music to me. I remember my first worked motor, a big block Chevy. The way it rumbled, you didn't just hear it you felt it. I still get goosebumps from the sound and feel.
One of my dream cars !! 68 thru 72 was in my opinion the best years for cars with 70 being the apex of those years ! Charger, cuda, road runner, Gran prix, GTO and several others had their best styles in those years!

You can have everything on you're list for 1 second gen charger these cars have left public market and are now only in the hands of collectors at 30,000 for just a rolling chassis and 50 to 700k for one that runs and drives varying on now much work you would like to put in

Beautiful! Black,,,, has a wonderful head turning presence. Every head would turn with every move on the street. Every teen was a car guy who at least bench raced with all his pals. A sweet looking, sounding snapshot in time. It really takes me back to when these were new and much more common!
Mopar + headers + thrush muffs gives off the nicest muscle car sounds of the 70's 👍🤩 Spice things up a few notches by upgrading to a race cam, heads, túnel ram intake manifold etc.. Oh ' the memories of getting your ride clean and shiny for a night of cruising the strip on Friday and Saturday nights. Listening to favorite music, hanging out with friends and hooking up with your favorite girl friend. Man those were some great times 😛
Dam my friend in highschool had one with the 440. I have a 65 fast beck mustang. We use to go cruising around together. He met a girl and she made him still it. I was devastated. still am.
my first car in 1984 was a 73 Satelite, then a few years later I also had a 74. They were both ratty looking, but you couldn't kill that 318 motor man. I got my 73 up to 130 mph. Then I had a 74 Barracuda, also ratty, but that thing was mean, haha
