    Why do I feel as if it is a bit formal, like semi-formal or is it just me?

      You're right. It's still more formal than an actual formal email though. Formal emails have many extra rules and don't use a lot of expressions you'd use in an informal email.

    You said "he knows your comming" Shouldn't it be "he knows you're/you are comming"?

      Hi there. Yes, of course. It must have been a mistake when transcribing. “When you’re / you are coming.”, as you rightly said.
