Season 1 of Tokyo Ghoul, in my honest opinion, is a masterpiece. I've read some of the manga later, and although many scenes were skipped from the season, it never felt like it was missing something. The staff nailed the animation, art direction, music and pacing, too. Loved it.
I didn't personally watch it, but last season's Unnamed Memory had some of the most vitriolic 'they fucked up this adaptation' responses I've seen in the last few years.
I expected to see any long running shonen on this list. I mean yeah, Hunter X Hunter was on this list. BUT I DON'T THINK THATS WHAT PEOPLE WERE EXPECTING.
some anime's had a bad way of adapting like JJBA which took almost 30 yrs and the part 6 anime batch releases by Netflix were shit tbh but its still a good anime
Watching this as a visual novel fan feels funny tbh. Because even the worst adaptations you mentioned are nothing compared to the shit visual novels gets. Out of whats problably the best VN's of all time (series like muv luv, umineko, tsukihime, higurashi, fate, steins gate etc) the only series with a good adaptation is steins gate. Really. All other VN adaptations are mediocre at best.
Boruto not being on this list is criminal, with it's sheer amount of filler episodes, but you've hit the nail on the head with the rest of this!
Yeah as I was editing this video I realized I left out a few really bad adaptations, including Boruto. Might have to do a part 2. Thanks for watching!

It's good on its own, but it's a bad adaptation because it literally ignored the manga, so no one understands the sequel.
@@ainzooalgown2951 Season 2 did ignore the manga. Season 1 didn't, it just left out scenes from it.

your wild hunter x hunter is perfect
Heavy on The Flowers of Evil.
Saying that hxh is one of the 10 worst adaptations of all time is just ludicrous like cmon lmao
i liked the flowers of evil adaptation though i thought it suited the manga more

Tenkuu shinpan is my favorite non mainstream manga, but the Netflix adaptation is trash n rushed and revealed huge plot twist for no reason.
1st hell yeah
